Question 1
[am4show have=’p2;’]If a host experiences intermittent issues that relate to congestion within a network while remaining connected, what could cause congestion on this LAN?
A. half-duplex operation
B. broadcast storms
C. network segmentation
D. multicasting
Answer: B[/am4show]
Explanation
A broadcast storm can cause congestion within a network. For more information about broadcast storm please read my STP tutorial.
Question 2
[am4show have=’p2;’]Which two characteristics describe the access layer of the hierarchical network design model? (Choose two)
A. layer 3 support
B. port security
C. redundant components
D. VLANs
E. PoE
Answer: B D[/am4show]
Explanation
The primary function of an access-layer is to provide network access to the end user.
The hardware and software attributes of the access layer that support high availability include security services for additional security against unauthorized access to the network through the use of tools such as 802.1x, port security, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, and IP Source Guard.

I am not entirely sure if B, D are the correct answers in second question. I agree with B, port security, but not with D. Imo correct answers are B and E, because D is not related ONLY to access-layer. A and C are out for sure.
This is my first time here on this site. is awesome
You issue the following commands
#configure terminal
(config)#interface fastethernet 0/1
(config-if)#switchport port-security
(config-if)#switch port-security maximum 12
You want to configure the switch to discard traffic and increment the security violation counter when it receives traffic on the fa 0/1 from a host with an unauthorized MAC address. What command would you issue
switchport port-security violation restrict
what is the advantage os using ripv2 over OSPF
Ripv2 is easier to configure
ripv2 converges faster than OSPF
ripv2 is more scaleable than OSPF
ripv2 consumes less bandwidth
ripv2 supports vlsm
answer: RIPv2 is easier to configure
Without any doubt is wonderful site, reaally
How many IP Connect to the LAN at a time????
I love this site..
