For those who already took the test, can you please provide some test taking strategies during the exam?

Passed the ICND1 yesterday, got 983. 9tut premium will set you up to get a high score.
If you understand the concepts and study 9tut material you will pass.
This was all I wrote down to do subnetting:

Passed the ICND1 today with 903. All the questions that I had were the same as from 9tut.
Security Testlet and Show Configuration Sim were the same as well.

how long did you study on 9tut before exam? just so i can work out if i got enough time.

@Afy007. I studied 9tut premium for a week before the test. Do the quizzes and simulations for a week and you’ll be able to pass the test in your sleep.

Cleared today 9xx Watched some videos to get basics and practiced rest here , thanks tut!

Just passed ICND1 with a score of 967, all the questions in the exam are on 9tut. I didn’t get any IPv6 or OSPF questions. Now onto ICND2 !

I have passed the icnd1 on Décember 15th : 9xx/1000.

To read vce files simply install Blue Stacks and then download A+ app. Works perfectly.
To be honest if you pay few bucks here to get access to the premium account, you won’t need any vce files. 9tut + comments will give you everything you need to pass ICND1 and 2. I consider premium membership on 9tut as the best possible investment.

Hi!! and thanks to 9tut !! i have given my icnd 1 exam today and clear the exam with 9xx/1000 .i got config sim and security nothing from ospf . i will advise you to go through subnetting exercises as i have most of it .nat/pat ,dhcp,port security .most of the qustions are here but also they added new qustions may be 7 or 8.so dont depend on it totally.i have studied kevin wallace videos for prepration its easy and to the point.

Passed today 9xx/1000. Had 85% quiz from 9tut. I had no OSPF/EIGRP/DHCP/NAT. Most of the quiz were from IP addressing. No configurations required, actually configuration prompt had been disabled. Be fluent in show commands. I had Switch and Router security (i.e login password, telnet password, console password, port security, service password encryption, no of allowed users simultaneously). All the best guys. Now onto ICND2.

All questions are 100% verbatim. The sims are the same with just different values, you need to know the show commands to answer the questions. I had all questions memorized so good, I could have finished the whole exam in 5-7 minutes.

As for studying, the Lammle’s book, CBT Nuggets and Packet Tracer is all you need.

I have passed my ICND1 today. Thanks to 9tut, which helps me a lot to understand the concepts. Nearly 95% of questions are here in 9tut. Show config Sim and Router & Switch Topology Sim was there. No OSPF Sim and IPv6 questions.

I have a few questions.

How many variations of the quiz questions do they use, or do those stay the same where I can just memorize them? The sim answers change from what I read. What else?

Also, how does the 9tut premium membership differ from the .pdf? Is it where you can run the quiz questions and sims and it grades it?

Passed last week, 47 questions all here in 9tut! Sims were the same, just different values and answers. I studied the official cert guide and did labs with packettracert. Do not just memorize the answer here (not all are correct) but understand the meaning and make practice with the labs. Use the time before the test to write down the subnet so you’ll be quicker during the test. Good luck to everyone and thanks 9tut! 🙂

9tut.net premium membership is absolutely worth the $9 dollars. The quizzes and simulators on this website definitely helped me passed and keep the knowledge learnt from the videos fresh.

Security sim and Config sim was accompanied with 47 questions in total.

No IPv6 questions.

All the questions are the same, the sims are the same too, but with different values. You need to know the show commands to answer the sims. If you memorize all the questions from the dumps you can walk out of the testing center in less than 10 mins.

As for real studying.. Lammle’s book, CBT Nuggets and Packet Tracer is all you need to understand the material. Good luck.

So the questions are the same from the premium 9tut, only the sims change values?

The Test is very simple and like most of the people have said here, its 47 questions related to the PDF files here. The test I took will not let you go back to the previous questions, so answer as best as possible and make sure to answer all of the simulation questions. Good Luck.

Is 9tut premium enough or there is new updated questions ?

9tut has very valuable information along with explanations, answers and simulators. However it’s best if you study other sources like official learning guides or cbt nuggets as well with 9tut.

I heard NAT/IPv6 are suppose to be implemented into ICND1, however I did not see these on my exam back in December.

Yeaaaah I passed today with 964/1000. 9tut is awesome. ☺

it seems everybody is posting the same “give me dumps” or “what is the exam like” questions over and over. everything you need is already at 9tut. don’t just memorize the answers. go through the course first THEN come back to 9tut. then you’ll have a thorough understanding of everything as well as passing the exams

With all the respect, I went through the course and I did it pretty well. I just wanted to get more information about how relevant are the questions on 9tut for the actual exam. After all this should be the main purpose of this website, preparing people for certifications. I don’t see anything wrong with people asking for more information about the actual exam.

passed exam. Question from Security section, almost everything is covered here on this site although answers to questions were not exactly same, no ospf questions, if you study question on website, you should be okay

All the questions were from 9tut. I agree though, make sure you have a thorough understanding of the subjects and then use 9tut for peace of mind during the test. All the certs in the world wont make a difference if you cant anser basic questions on an interview.

Thanks 9tut. Great site. Just passed my 100-101 exam yesterday with a score in the 900’s . All the questions from site on test. Only thing that caused any problems, was the security testlet. The question is too vague. Any number of answers could be correct

I passed ICND1 last Saturday, I consumed all the exam time with 3 mins left. I just find out this 9tut friday night and my exam is the next day, less time to study from this site but its very useful. Now i’m preparing for ICND2 and this 9tut site will be my primary resources. Thanks!!

It has shortened everything from 700-800 pages to 42 pages.

lot of Subnetting, show commands, NAT/PAT, routers security(telnet,ssh, enable password etc) i didn’t read them all from here but i saw questions exactly from here and NO ipv6

Just passed my INCD 1 exam. Scored an 877/1000. So happy!!! I had 47 questions on my test with 2 simulations. One was the security questions involving a switch and router. The other was verify router configurations with LAN and BW questions. Follow the PDF for this as 9Tut has everything you need. Good luck guys.

hello all , passed ICND1 with 919 /1000. all thanks to 9TUT. 90 percent questions are same with some of them having values changed , i had total 47 questions ,2 sims , security sim topology was having more configuration added to confuse us . show configuration sim was same from 9tut. I had studied from cisco nuggets and 9 tut and thats sufficient for passing . A big thanks to 9tut and its members.

charles you need to know how to look for the right values in the cli and it’s easy from there, answers are all switched and mixed up so it’s best to have clear idea about it and not memorized.

U guys r great. I cant believe that its a real place. I am glad to find this place. I will be taking my exam on next Wednesday. I hope there are some questions from this website too. Has anyone taken an exam in Canada, are the questions same irrespective of the country where you take the exam.

@charles the security sim was the confusing one for me i believe the answers are really similar but the questions are different so must pay attention the sims very carefully since their worth A LOT of points. Last thing , if you know your stuff from this site , videos , books etc you will pass the test easy , but next challenge is to actually LEARN how to work with cisco systems which is what gets the job.

@den only the sim are a bit different ? How about the 47 questions ?

questions are very similar , , icnd1 is easy , they add few new questions now and then but if you practice here it’s easy, this site was very helpful as far as the test in my experience.

It tooks me 3/4 hour with the tutirial. So study but also train with questions on site. I took my exam in Milan, Italy. Good luck everyone!
