Hey guys, I passed today as well. Like Sky, I had 54 questions. 274q dumps + Dave SIMs + already posted questions & answers on this forum saved me. Just be aware, the 274q dumps contain a number of wrong answers, so do your research.

Hi Guys ,

I passed my exam today with 873 , around 70% questions are from directly questions from the 274dumps
15% are a bit twisted but still if you good basics you can crack them but the last 15% are like Greek and Latin for me .. I tried to remember the questions but it’s all in vain !

I would say if you strong basics , understand the concept well and practice the dumps you should be good to go .

And special thanks to @p143r for answering all the queries and helping us

Answer should be D (you are right) it alleviate by defining private ranges that a company could use instead having to buy public ipvr addresses that are no longer available. Of course you ned NAT to go with that!

I failed the ICND 100-105 exam today with 750 marks. I studied from 239 questions from some dumps. There were 54 questions. No drag and drop . No SIMS only Simlets. About 40% questions were new.

Passed my exam today. Below are some question which i got.
1. Question was to identify unique local IPv6 address in binary format.
2. Question was related to voice clan configuration.
3. Vlan which cannot be crated modified and deleted.

Could anyone make it clear which SIMS does one need to study for ICND1 and ICND 2

I’m taking the ICND1 next week. Can anybody give me a basic breakdown of what I should expect? I’ve been using this site for a couple weeks and feel pretty good on the composite quizzes and sims but I’m not entirely sure how accurate they are. I see varying answers in this thread as to how helpful the site really is. Any tips would help greatly. Thanks.

Please study the simlets well. Note that DHCP sim is included in ICND 1 now. Expect a lot of new questions. But if you do the SIMS well you will pass. Please let u know your experience after answering.

on my test I HAD 8++ VERY close to passing.
I used sow run,show interface,show ip dhcp binding and show access-list.

Was doing the NTP sim provided here on packet tracer. Can the NTP loopback address not be any address?

274q dumps, Dave SIMs still valid took the exam on 28th make sure practice the basic Questions on 9tut. Sims DHCP, RIPV2, Security learn all the show commands. There are some wrong answers on 274q do some research.

Can anyone list the questions where 9tut has chosen the incorrect answer? So far I’m only aware of the NTP related question.

There are a couple simple mistake like hop of next router not the interface of router in routing table.
ntp master question etc.But the shit is still good for revising. If you understand the concept you will be ok.I sign out, heading to icnd2 in 2months. Any questions holla at me

Who may help with valid ICND1 dump ?

I failed ICND1 by 7 points. About 90% of my questions were from this website but the sims were different. The sims are the reason I failed.

The sims were exact similar scenarios and questions but the configs were slightly different. I had DHCP, NAT and Security Sims.

sorry to hEAR YECK, the good news is you now know your weakness. I was in that situation before.
Here is what I did.Get some lab and look at it thoroughly and understand each step. The problem with the sim is, it is meant to confused anyone who hasnt understand the concept 100%. dhcp server client relationship,its alway via interface, so check IP on both server and client.

Nat is to translate IP from inside to outside,check IP,ping to check

@Rizrak I didn’t use any dumps. The questions and answers that I was asked on ICND1 were a mix of questions from all of the material on this site.

@Yeck, do the sims come in at the end or are they mixed in as you progress through the exam

@Fragg3r I had them mixed in as I progressed. There was about 20 questions asked and then a sim.

Do the sims in the exam have limited commands like the ones on here?

Hi Guys, I have recently purchased ICND1 book 100-105, and currently working through. I have 5 years in networking field so this is quite straight forward but I will keep you updated on my progress. The book comes with over 500 practice questions which should keep me busy for the next couple of weeks. I will then take the test and see how we go, if successful, I will post the Q&A online.

Man, there are a BUNCH of OSPF questions in the 274q dump. I don’t personally run OSPF at my location, so hopefully there won’t be as many Q’s on the exam as there are in the dump

Passed ICND1 with 918. I’d say about 95% of the questions were from here. Thanks 9tut! I got the security and DHCP/NAT/ACL sims and they were the same exact scenarios but the answers were switched up and opposite of what’s on here so pay very very close attention to the configs. Use the material on here and you’ll pass guys. I believe the only OSPF question I got had to do with passive-interface. Also had two IPv6 questions but very basic knowledge. On to the ICND2 this summer after I finish up these remaining two classes.

What do you guys recommend trying to squeeze onto the whiteboard for notes that we get to use? I’m already gonna use a subnet/wildcard table I memorized to write down.

Failed with 780.
Most questions required knowledge on VLANs.

And the SIMs were exactly the ones here on DHCP, NAT and SECURITY (show commands only)

NTP SIM was there too but encapsulated in the other SIMs.

Subnetting was fairly simple i wouldnt spend too much time practicing it.

Then know all the protocols Admin Distances e.g OSPF 110 etc.

Know your work on VLANs. Alot of new questions came there.

@Trey, yes it is, subnetting only mentioned identifying answers in the same subnet range.
Questions that I wasnt ready for had stuff on CEF, 6to4 tunneling, somethig about IPv6 where the answers were in binary 11111111, 1111000, etc…, 48 port switch w/ 4 vlans how many collision/broadcast domains… ill try and think of more… testing again as soon as allowed haha.

Passed the ICND1 100-105 v3 exam today. I must say 75% of the questions and sims are on the 274q dump. Thanks guys!!

SIMS were DHCP/NAT/ACL/NTP & Security, topology same but the config was different with different answers, concept should be clear.
Also few new questions, but answerable if concepts are clear.

813, two weeks ago, so didn’t quite make it. However, I was pleased to see many of the questions in the flash quiz included in the above ICND_1 zipped file above.

Unfortunately, versions 6.1.xxxxx (I have several — both with some version of 6.1.0.0120 [my other is at home so I don’t know for sure, but it is 6.1. something, on Windows XP) under WINE, under Windows XP, and WIndows 10, don’t recognize the PKT files, claiming that the version is incompatible.

What an odd thing, if Cisco PT does not maintain either (a) full backwards-compatibility or (b) continue to officially support earlier versions of PT.

Any ideas?

@floorTom&&CaptROCK — after a little while, I found out that Cisco PT 7.0 does the trick on the ICND_1_PACKAGE PKT files. I can’t remember where I found the latest version (it’s free, but getting it from the Cisco site is ridiculous, because of their cripple-ware registration scheme, so just look around for it).

At the very least it opens using PT7.0 under WINE (no clue if there’s a functional Linux port of the software) — I haven’t played around with the sims yet, but they open and appear fine at first glance.
