the 2 simulators were same as here, one with R1 and S1 and the other with the 4routers.

VCE 274 is out of date as OSPF isn’t even on ICND1 anymore. BE AWARE.

I’ve never taken an Cisco exam before, so is it possible, to skip questions and return to them later or has everything to be answered in order? Can you skip back to questions when you have enough time left at the end?

@notorious, no, Cisco requires you to answer each question before moving on to another, and you can not got back and review or change answers, so take your time and be confident in your answer before moving on to the next question. But, don’t take TOO much time, leave yourself enough to finish the exam.

With regards to the question about Cisco Express Forwarding, can anyone verify the context of the question? I’ve seen it asked as:

“If you enable CEF, what is automatically disabled?”

and…

“Which feature automatically disables CEF when it is enabled?”

Bc these are two different questions. I know ACL Logging disables CEF, but I’m unable to find out what, if any feature is disabled when CEF is enabled. Thanks!

Took the exam the 2nd time and passed with a score of 930(failed the 1st attempted a week ago with a score of 803, OUCH!). About 25-30 questions are from the 274, the simulation questions are similar but you have to have good understanding of CLI and troubleshooting skill related to security, DHCP and DNS. Make sure you do a lot of those in packet tracer or GNS3. The last 15ish answers from the VCE 274 are not 100% accurate.

There is a question regarding ipv6to4.

When I took it there was no config required, I was able to get by using show run and analyzing the output.

Okay, I took my ICND1 test yesterday and got a 900 on that bitch. I paid the $9.00 for the questions and sims and it is super worth the money. So the majority of the questions that I got were straight from the Basic questions part 1 and 2. I got the same sims everyone else is getting. Ill specify in a follow up post.

9tut, I cant thank you enough. I failed both my ICND 1 and 2, and can say that you could charge so much more than 9 bucks for access to everything you have. I think you could do a better job of letting people know what they get for the premium membership though because I was unaware until I bought it. Until 9tut does that Ill tell you a little bit. They have the sims that you can practice like its game day. There are quizzes that you can take to you don’t have to make flash cards out of the 274q questions so you cant see the answer. Okay I;m done rambling. Good luck guys and don’t forget to give back.

I got the DHCP sim and the Security Sim. I don’t remember if there were any different questions, but if you go through the practice sims on here and follow and understand the explanations, you’ll be fine.

I honestly don’t remember any ACL questions. Exam objective only specifies standard ACL, so if anything just remember how the basic permit and deny works and the commands that are associated with them.

At the top of the 9tut page there is an option to become a “premium member”. it cost me 9 bucks. And yes, they are different than the 274q’s. You get the sims and I can tell you since I failed ICND 1 and 2 once, that they are nice to practice with and scary similar to what you will see on game day. You also get interactive quizzes (maybe a wired way to say it). But they quiz will give you a good explanation and a link for questions you get wrong.

what is the pass mark for ICND1 and how the question structure will be there?

i passed the exam yesterday 15/2/2017 , 80% is from the passleader and 9tut premium site. i got the DHCP Sim and Security Sim, but guys be careful the config is different but the answers are the same, so check everything.

Another point is that they change the questions a little bit than the ones in the dumps. for example:
which is true about native vlan: instead of saying the native vlan is 1 by default which is true. they changed that to native vlan is tagged with 1 by default which is false because native vlan is untagged. so READ carefully.

Wot. Shouldn’t the answer be A? You are copying the running config to the startup config which is saved to the NVRAM.

I also doubt about this question. But i never seen a default route went away when the next hop is unreachable. the only thing that comes in my mind was RIP with default-originate where it puts the default route to its/the neighbor. maybe when the rip neighbor is not reachable or they are not synced, the default route would be dropped or is lost!? im not a native english speaker, so answer C must be interpreted by me. maybe someone can give more info why C should be correct….

the routing table keeps only the best available routes, if any route becomes unavailable it gets deleted from the routing table, if a better route (than the one already in the table) comes up, it gets into the routing table and the less better route gets deleted. think about your routing table as a RAM where only active running applications are stored (PC). However less better routes get in a different table: database. if a link goes down the same happens again and the router deletes the down routes from the routing table and pull out the less better routes from its database. this database cisco says: is saved by the protocol that found it originaly: OSPF EIGRP, IS-IS BGP and RIP.

therefore the only correct answer for this question is

answer C. dynamic routing is wrong. You can configure a small network with satatic routing and have dynamic routing off and your default route will work fine. I have done that.

Okay, got that so far. This means regarding to the Question that if you configure a default Route to a hop which is routerB at routerA and shufdown the interface on the next hop routerB, the route gets deleted from routing table on routerA!? indeed you are correct. If a route is not available it get deleted from routing table, regardless whether there is a backup route or not.

For anyone how downloaded the link above containing practicing simulations. the security sim nr. 3 (Q3) the answer is wrong.
the answer should be B. B. only telnet protocol connections to RouterA are supported : this is because the command “transport input ssh” is not in the running config. moreover no domain-name is created to link the SSH-encryption-keys to.

Also answer [C. remote connections to RouterA using telnet will succeed ] is correct. as the sim says: “no login” command on vty lines is used==> no login is required and access is unrestricted.
Answer “A” the simulation is giving is wrong; this is because the command “lin vty 0 4” means a maximal of 5 vty connections are allowed. It doesnt mean at least 5 simultaneous connections are allowed.

Also security sim nr. 4 (Q4) all the answers are wrong:
Which of the following is true regarding the configuration of SwitchA?

A. only 5 simultaneous remote connections are possible: “show run” shows that all vty lines from 0 to 15 has be configured. switch can be accessed through 16 lines.

Hi I passed my ICND1 today 906/1000, 80% of the questions exactly the same as hear. Security and DHCP/NAT/NTP simulator same with slight differences. 1-2 new IPv6 questions (totally 5-6 IPv6 questions) , one new question with the ping command, one about the OSI that vlan operates, 2 easy subnetting questions, 4-5 nat questions , new one which command shows the number of translations done by nat. Totally 54 questions, thanks a lot 9tut!!

Passed ICND1 today, most of the questions were exactly like those on the site(80 %+), Sims only with slight differences.

I went through the official cisco cert guide and studied the questions here.

In the end the materials here should be enough to pass, but you actually need to understand the answers not just memorize them.

the questions I was not familiar with were regarding IPv6 mostly. So study up on that topic separately.

I would love to give some specific questions, but honestly I was super hungover 🙂

Passed the exam today 9xx/1000. Huge thanks to 9tut. There were a few surprises in it but not many. The security simlet needs some work but other than that this site was fantastic!!!
