some say it´s D… :/
@Dave3
Which NTP command configures the local device as an NTP reference clock source?
A. ntp peer
B. ntp broadcast
C. ntp master < wrong
D. ntp server < Correct!
@Dave3
I will double check that…i know ntp master set a router to act as a server and always trust its internal clock. At least one in the network should have this role. And ntp server make router to act as client and pointing it to to server. Sorry i was wrong DONT consider my correction!
Pl413r go and get an INE video… Answer is master
ANY ONE!!!
Someone said that the PassLeader had and correct some Questions from their Dump,
I have theirs VCE & PDF – which one is WRONG_WRONG about these Questions???

Regardless my online investigation, still NOT SURE 100%
@Whit
Forget my last post…after investigating it with a CCIE
a certified the correct answer is “ntp server”. and thats what I am choosing on real test.

THANKS PL413r
But from where for SURE you got these answers?? Do you have the CORRECT VCE 274q or WHICH VCE I should study??
@Francis, that’s what I thought initially, but I went with B because of google results.. 🙁 I am not smart
@Dave I saw this in the Default Gateway Sim out of your ICND 1 package:
Users in the main office complain that they are unable to reach internet sites. You observe that internet traffic
that is destined towards ISP router is not forwarded correctly on Router R1. What could be an issue?
Ping to Internet server shows the following results from Server1:
R1#ping 209.165.200.225
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 209.165.200.225, timeout is 2 seconds:
…..
Success rate is 0 percent (0/5)
A. The next hop router address for the default route is incorrectly configured.
B. Default route pointing to ISP router is not configured on Router R1.
C. Default route pointing to ISP router is configured with AD of 225.
D. Router R1 configured as DHCP client is not receiving default route via DHCP from ISP router.
Answer:
A. The VLAN encapsulation is misconfigured on the router subinterfaces.
It’s not one of the choices 🙁
Table 1 – Reference Clock Source Configuration
1
Configure the local device to use a remote NTP clock source.
router(config)#ntp server {ip-address | hostname}
or
1
Configure the local device as a NTP reference clock source.
Note: The stratum-numbercan be from 1 to 15 and indicates the advertised accuracy of the local reference clock.
router(config)#ntp master stratum-number
I think ntp master is the correct answer.
Here the link why.

@Ghosy
sorry i was wrong i should have writed “ntp master” in answer ty

NO MORE baby giant questions please.
Thanks @Nickname
Now we are all good, more questions pls.
@Kittydog
I will look into that question!
@Dave3, it’s the answer to the VLAN sim on the Default Gateway from what I saw
@CISCOTE
You´re welcome…I am pretty sure these are correct (corrected these with CCIE teacher, minus baby giant which is a mistery)
I would not trust 100% on these web dumps, i have found many wrong questions on them…
I use dumps as a pre-test only as I like studying to learn the stuff so when i had a question there are not in these dumps I have a clue how to answer it!
@Kittydog
I remember these lab that Dave posted…If i remember well i needed to configure a default route to reach the ISP router.
Baby giant error was cleared up ages ago, don’t bring this thing back up lol
1600
Thanks, Ghosy for the link, ist’s absolutely in ” Plain English” I will go for the NTP master!!
By chance, can you ask this Teacher about 1, any link, about troubleshooting a WAN who has SERVER, ACL & NAT access issues ….. I really, really wants to grab the process of troubleshooting It! The Pineapple Link is not enough for me…..I took the class 1 year ago, got to busy
(NEW JOB ) to take the EXAM and troubleshooting server with ACL& NAT were not the main concern on Passing the Exam!!
Thanks again!!
@CISCOTE
Unfortunately i can´t share the video cause it´s protected…
Troubleshooting is not rock science man.
All you need to do is understand how ACL and NAT works (and OSI model from botton up), so when you run “show” commands on the equipment you will know what´s wrong.
Example:
r1#show run (will display that there is a acl apllied to interface g0/1 blocking any traffic from going in) so that will be a possible answer in icnd1 test related to it…that´s it!…hope it helped 🙂
@CISCOTE
You can find it at youtube type: troubleshoot network acl
ANYONE!!
What is the time it takes for an icmp echo to come back from the requestor?
Guys i passed with 918!! ^^ the sim si the same but not the same answer so you have practice different scenarios and some questions are diferent from 274q I remember one about “What layer from osi model are vlan. And question about port security.
Does anyone recommend using the Cisco Practice Exams that come with the books? They seem a lot harder than some of the questions/quizzes going around.. Just need to pass this because my wife is giving me a hard time…
dude i recommend you read icnd 100-105 en then read all question from dump 274q and the sim… the idea is understand the command login local, transport input, banner… etc. 😀
What sims are in the exam? I reviewed dhcp, rip, and basic configuration
Guys lets work this one out together. CBT nuggets is giving a 7 day trial all access to their videos.
Is anyone of you planning on canceling their credit card soon? because you could signup and download the videos through IDM and save them and then share them with us, when the trial is over you can cancel your card.

@francis I’ve read the 100-105 book, done the cbt nuggets videos, have practiced with dave’s package, done a lot of practice exams, but I haven’t looked a t the 274q dump yet.. Will do that later after work today. Just gotta take this and then get my CCNA before March.. :-/
@lolboat.. this is the link 274q I hope this can help you… most of the questions appear on the test. but not all.. soy practice the sims and understand acl, dhcp, ntp server (for example, when i took the test, appeared the same laboratory but different cases, on one router ntp server it was not configured, so that was the answer). practice the sim and understand de labs.
Good luck!!!
ps: i remember one question about ntp and the correct answer it was ntp strum.

@ lilboat, do you have free links to the CBT nuggets 100 – 105 videos?
@francis
ty 4 sharing it
@Dave1 Thanks for the Sims. Are you able to update them with the commands that leads you to the answers found on the bottom?
@luke cage, i do not.. i wish i did
@francis thank you very much
That will be helpful if Dave did, Wayne. Thanks for reminding him.
I passed with 871 🙂
@Ghosy
Did the actual test have some questions of the practice test that has been going around ?
from Dave´s Questions and Laps i had around 30 Questions in the Exam.
A few new Questions.
Question i Remember ist a Show IP Nat question.
With wich command can you show the NAT translation status or something like that.
4 answers with show ip Nat..
and one with show counters.
Idont know the corret one.
One Question more i remember is what is the status of router after the first poweron.
One answer are interfaces are shutdown
Question – How ICMP works
answers
Source send a request and Destination send a replay within a 1 Sec.( I take this)
Source send a request and Destination send a request within a 2 Sec.
very hard to see the diffrence between bots Answers, in the Exam the Answer are much longer.
@Ghosy
Guess the NAT ones would be:
show ip nat translation – This shows the translation does exist
or
show ip nat statistics – This monitors the counters on NAT translation
@Ghosy
On the cisco devices ICMP seems to have a default timeout of 2 seconds
R2#ping 192.168.100.200
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 192.168.100.200, timeout is 2 seconds:
…..
Success rate is 0 percent (0/5)
@Ghosy what other materials did you use to study
@Dave I know, but only one answer was with the correct sequence (the first one) but only 1 sec.
I use the stuff from Dave and the other free stuff from this forum, but i have my own lap with 4 1721 Routers and 2 2905 Switches for practise
@Ghosy
Congrats man,
Please let us know if you remember any other of the new questions you had.
Hi
Exam 274 Q on ” v c e p l u s.com/ccent-exam-100-105/ ”
I’m leaning this exam
Thanks
Just checking is it possible to pass with the dropbox and 274q vce? Some of the comments are kind of hard to tell.
@Ghosy
Were the 4 NAT questions on the SIMs?
About the ping question:
host send a echo request and destination send back a echo reply?
About ICMP:
Default is 2 seconds?
@Wayne
It might be possible but…do you want to be this kind of professional?
@Ghosy
Do you remember what was the lab questions ?
One NAT Lap wit corret config on the interfaces. but wrong statement,
Than the ACL Lap from Dave but not with the 176.x.x.x (Server IP) in the question, the ip was the LAN IP 10.x.x.x.
@TSUTOMU ROKUHARA those questions were stolen from here
Hey everyone, anyone feel like doing their exam this wkd. I feel I should go for it. what do you think?
Wit
Do it and let us know how it goes, i should take it in november
Hi guys i have passed it today !!! 836 🙂
Very different from last week when i make test ( i have 825 points last week).
Very new questions.Today i have only 50 % from Dave’s.
Lab was the same.
– How does 6qp4 works? ( not sure about qp).
1.Both ends must support IPv4?
2.Both ends must support IPv6 and IPv4?
3.One of end must be confifured with IPv4?
– If Cisco E.F. (CEF)is enable what will be automaticly disable?
1.ACL lists
2.Something about NAT
——
– What is that
router # ip nat pool 10.10.10.1 10.10.10.20 255.255.255.0
1/dhcp pool
2/nat translation
3/ dinamic nat
——
So if i remember other i will write.
And BIG thank to Dave and other boys.
Congrats @Vince. Thanks for the heads up on the changes.
Well done Vince! Thanks for the updates!
@Vince looks fake to me. Anyone else think so?
Well, i he is right CISCO is trying to f us up with some of these questions!
6qp4, E.F wtf?
Well, if he is right CISCO is trying to f us up with some of these questions!
6qp4, E.F wtf?
Topics such as 6to4, CEF, and OSPF were moved to ICND2 and should not be present in ICND1, correct?
@Vince, did you see the 6to4 and CEF questions in ICND1, or were you referencing ICND2/CCNA?
@Francis, the latest dump you posted contained a few OSPF questions which should not exist in 100-105 ICND1 right?
@Dave do you have anymore quizzes made? I have a 58 question one, seems to be very similar to some of the stuff from the 274 question dump.. Just wondering if you had anyone of those made into a quiz? Seems a lot easier to go through than on the PDFs, if not- no worries obviously- just wondering 🙂
passed my exam. Lots of questions on IPV6. Sims were DCHP and Security. One question on CEF good luck to all
Boys i dont have time for jokes and fake posts.
I am happy to share my expirience.Yes today i have those questions which i write above.
Also 2 questions of ports mode (sticky),2 network questions,Voip (CDP) protocol,CSMD/CD Coose 2,What subnet mask represend ( network mask),full-duplex question,host A send farme to host B ( answer : flood to all ports except fa0/3) …….and other but they are not new.
I try to remember only new and share.Before one week the questions are more easy than today.So good luck to everyone who will get CCNET.
One of new question was : What is happened if lan cable is too long? (don remember the answers).
@Whittakerlap, I had those same questions. Failed with an 813.
It should be 6to4. Its used to migrate ipv4 to ipv6. Not sure if Im right, but I went with both ends must support ipv6 and ipv4.
The CEF question was a guess.
The IP Nat pool question, I went with dynamic nat.
@Niner i go with the same for NAT pool and 6to4.
On the 1-way NAT question: 1-way NAT is another term for PAT or overload, so the answer in that case should be D.
Further explanation:
What they are referring to is PAT or port address translation where many internal IP addresses are translated to a single public IP address such as the one on the interface. This is 1 way NAT because you can initiate communication from inside of your network to the outside, but the outside cannot initiate communication to you.
After recieving this information I did a little reasearch on PAT and found this.
http://www.techrepublic.com/article/set-up-port-address-translation-pat-in-the-cisco-ios/
So being the PAT is “NAT Overload” Translation can take place from the inside to outside. Being that the nature of PAT translates multiple IP’s into a single IP you can not set up PAT or “one way NAT” to translate from the outside to inside.
I hope this could be of help to you.
@Tap0ut and @PL413r no fear.
Topics such as 6to4, CEF, and OSPF were moved to ICND2 and should not be present in ICND1
so many fake post.
@Dave do you have anything for learning ICND2 ?
6to4 tunneling, is an IPv6 transition mechanism described in RFC 3056.
Like many other transition mechanisms, it enables encapsulation of IPv6 packets into IPv4 for transport across an IPv4 network.
What’s really neat about 6to4 is that it allows for automatic IPv6-to-IPv4 address translation, and treats the underlying IPv4 network as one big non-broadcast multi accesse (NBMA) network, rather than a collection of independent point-to-point links.
6 to 4 isn’t on the official book
cef is on the official book
Hi guys! I took my icnd1 yesterday and passed with 906, passing score was 832. My exam had 54 questions. I’ve finished it 75 minutes.
A lot of questions of @Dave’s quiz and dumps posted last week.
Some new questions, here goes what i remember :
What command shows how many nat translations have occured in a router?
How ipv6 packets can be transmited in a ipv4 network?
The same question that @Ghosy said, about icmp, why a ping fails , it was very confusing text, something like this :
a destination recive a icmp reply, and a source recive an icmp request on one second, and three more confusing alternatives
a destination recive a icmp request , and a source recive an icmp reply in 2 seconds (I’ve assigned this)
Sims:
The basic of security wrong banners, passwords and logins lines configs, the same posted by @Dave
Another with 3 routers running ripv2, reditributing default.
I remember 3 problems
1.The clock of R3 (connected to isp) was synchronized with the isp, but the R2 adjacent was not, solution r2 there was not the ntp server command.
2. No nat translations. Solution wrong access list with a permit 127.0.0.1
3. Dhcp, solution dhcp pool was configured in a diferent network
Thanks to all who contributed to the content of 9tut. This site is amazing.
@Dave, very thanks! You really helped me.
Thaks everyone who compat
I hope that I can help someone.
And lets go to icnd2
@Tiago Well Done !!!
@Tiago based on your post are you saying there are new sims not found in Daves folder?
An excessively long cable would produce a high number of late collisions on an interface.
@Tiago
Well done, thanks for sharing
@Tiago
Is this the ipv6 question you had?
Which three approaches can be used while migrating from an IPv4 addressing scheme to an IPv6 scheme? (Choose three)
A.static mapping of IPv4 address to IPv6 addresses
B.configuring IPv4 tunnels between IPv6 islands X
C.use DHCPv6 to map IPv4 addresses to IPv6 addresses
D.use proxying and translation (NATPT) to translate IPv6 packets into IPv4 packets X
E.configure IPv6 directly
F.enable dualstack routing X
Taking the test tomorrow. Which commands should I focus on for the Sims?
WAYNE
1) show run
2) show int br
Thanks bro
@ WAYNE
WHICH TEST?
100-105?
@Seeker yes I was told that show run wouldn’t work
@Wayne
show ip interface brief
show running-config
show nat translations
show ip dhcp binding
PL413r
Thanks for rectifying my ” TYPO ” command line!!
CISCOTTE
You are welcome!
i just wrote my icnd1 on the 28th of October well i did not get 832 but i scored 533 of the 1000 most topics covered were about switching, subnetting, configuring a switch n a router that i just needed to ping and see if they ping was successful then i got the ine.members.com tat covers most of the things you need to know for icnd1v3 exam all the best
@everyone robert is a Seller
so is Jay above him!
Nice one PL413r, these guys dont care about test takers. All they care about is money
GUYS! have you noticed that they are so many MISTAKE on those dumps??
That bug me out BIG TIME!! Please help!!!
FOR EXAMPLE:
Which two commands will display the current IP address and basic Layer 1 and 2 status of an interface?( Choose two)
A. router# show version
B. router# show ip interface
C. router# show protocols
D. router# show controllers
E. router# show running-config
NOW ON:
Q.27 From VCEplus274q.pdf ( A: show ip interface & show protocols )
Q.27 From 274q PasLeader SECURED 100-105.pdf (A: show ip interface & show protocols )
Q.91 From 100-101 ( A: show ip interface & show protocols )
Q.66 Fro Latest-Cisco-Ensuree-ICND1-100-101Dumps-PDF.pdf (A:show protocols & show controllers)
Dont give me wrong I HAVE CHECKED & Googleed and it make me confuse since:
a) show controllers will show L1
b) show protocols will show L1 & L2
I was opting for: show ip interface & show protocols because according what I read ” show controllers is basically to see the status of your cable!!!
PLEASE HELP Pl413r, DAVE & any one!!
MISTAKE ARE ON pdf & VCE ….SAD business!!!!
Show ip interface and show protocols is correct because it shows you the same thing. I just double checked on two of my routers. (My job allowed me to purchase a lab on their dime) @ciscotte
RIGHT!! SO THEY > ROBERT, JAY & few above: THEY ARE SELLER and they SALE WRONG_WRONG CISCO material!!! I wish CISCO could/would SUE them big time!!!!
