Did ICND1 on the 6th, passed – thank God. A big thanks to 9tut for all the work here.
As ZZ stated above, I had the same SIM’s. The security Teslet is slightly different from here, so know what the meaning of the different settings. Also in the Show Configuration Sim ensure that you understand it well as I got a little confused and it threw me abit. Otherwise I also did the 399 Questions from exam collection. Passed today with a lucky 1000. Questions here are certainly valid. Highly recommend Todd Lammie (an easy read from front to back), 9tut, and lead2pass vce has a lot of questions. Don’t rely on just the dumps, some answers are actually wrong. Use lead2pass to verify what you have already learnt from the book. Night before exam brush through all 399 questions and stop at ones you are unsure about. Don’t memorise it, understand it and you will surely pass this exam. Oh and get a good nights sleep. I didn’t use any simulators (packet tracer etc) or Odems official ICND book (too dry for me), but hey everyone has their own techniques for study. Goodluck and thanks 9tut!

I just take 2 hours ago ICND1, I passed with 850/1000 score, thanks to http://www.9tut.com there was a lot of materials in the test, guys try to review switching material and Wan materials too, I got about 20 questions of that.

Took my ICND1 this morning, passed with close 900. This site is great, definitely recommend this site to supplement study.

I have a question that i can’t figure out the answer to. int the exhibit, is 3 routers connect via serial cables, such as (R1 – serial cable – cloud – R2 – serial cable – cloud – R3) R1 needs 13 host, R2 needs 17 host and R3 needs 27 host…here is the question:

Refer to the exhibit. The internetwork is using subnets of the address 192.168.1.0 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.224. The routing protocol in use is RIP version 1. Which address could be assigned to the FastEthernet interface on RouterA?

the answer choices are
A) 192.168.1.31
B) 192.168.1.64
C) 192.168.1.127
D) 192.168.1.190
E) 192.168.1.192

the answer is C but i have no idea how they got that.

Remember! You cannot use the network address, which is the first usable IP address in a subnet. Also you can’t use the last IP address in a subnet, as it is used for broadcast address within an ip subnet.

A. 192.168.1.31 – This is the broadcast address of the network 192.168.1.0 – 192.168.1.31, because the next address is the IP of the next subnet 192.168.1.32)
B. 192.168.1.64 – This is the next address of the next subnet Network 1: 192.168.1.0 – 192.168.1.31, Network 2: 192.168.1.32 – 192.168.1.63, Network 3: 192.168.1.64 – 192.168.1.95
C. 192.168.1.127 – Using the logic above and further writing out the subnets: Network 4: 192.168.1.96 – 192.168.1.127, So the last address is the broadcast address and cannot be assigned.
D. 192.168.1.190 – Using the logic above and even further writing out the subnets: Network 5:192.168.1.128 – 192.168.1.159, Network 6:192.168.1.160 – 192.168.1.191. Network 7:192.168.1.192 – 192.168.1.223. That immediately eliminates Answer E as answer E is a network address. The only answer left is D. To verify this, we look at network 6, 191 is the broadcast address, so the address before it, .190, can be given out to a host/Interface.
E. 192.168.1.192

Hey just wanted to know if 9tut will still doing the same work after ICND1 exam will be stopped on 30th September 2013. Or we have to wait and see how the exam going to be set going to be the same or different methods will be introduced?

Just Passed ICND1 today with a 850…about 80% of my exam were on the dumps and from 9tuts, I study the vce exams a,b,c. I got ICND2 on Sept 27, ready to knock it out. its amazing that i purchased the official cisco practice exams, and non of those questions were on the exams…this site and the vce’s are invaluable.

Passed on Saturday with a 912 and 43mins to spare. I studied the vce exams and on here. Between the two about 85% was covered. Thanks so much!!!!!

I passed !!! today I had both ICND1 & ICND2, didn’t get very high scores but A Pass is a Pass v(^_^)v

ICND1 had many questions from here as well from the VCE’s , although some of them had different wording in order to get a different answer so READ the questions twice!

ICND2 was a little harder, less time compared to ICND1 and the simlets I had were the VTP and the Frame Relay , couple of the questions were different in them as compared to the simlets in here so make sure you practice and practice.

I thank God i passed with 958(640-816). 9tut is very relevant… I had the vtp and frame relay sims. In the vtp sim the show running-config in the existing switch showed that the switch had not been configured with any ip address. Therefore i used the show interface vlan1 which showed only the ip address and not the default gateway.
For the ip address the first available ip address was to be used, but the default gateway was not specified and had not beeen configured on the existing switch so i used the last available ip address in the subnet.
For the frame relay sim only the show frame-relay map command gave what is needed to answer the asked 4 qsns.
The other qsns were basically fom heavymod dumps. My advice is to go through those qsns repeatedly and understand the concepts.

Passed 640-822 today with 964/1000. I found 9tut to be a big help regarding how to do the sims. So a big thank you to 9tut. I had two of the sims from this site plus an additional one I had not seen before. The basic “show cdp neighbors, show int, show run commands pretty much was enough to do the sims. I studied 6 weeks in total, approx. 3-4 hours each day. Chris Bryants videos, youtube, packet tracer and used test kings question dumps which I found at least 70% of the questions were on the exam. Not to many subnetting questions, mainly WAN,WIFI and OSI and tracking mac address direction questions. Oh and not one SDM, DHCP,NAT,DNS configuration question which I had spent 5 hours learning the night before. I will be studying for the 200-101 next and hope to this by end of the year. Best of luck to anyone else doing this exam over the next couple of days

Hi there! I took the exam today 960 thanx to this side that is very helpful and CBT nuggets, however you need to know what you are doing, not olny memorize the questions because the exam`s questions may vary a little. As a recommendation when you are in the 6 router simulation discard each of the answers one by one and do not try to guess because it will take you longer, just verify the options given with the show commands on the routers, you will need show run to check the area and ospf config, show ip ospf interface to know the hello, dead timers…, show ip ospf database to know the router id.

Take in consideration that ospf willl not form neighbors if:

*Dupicate router id on 2 different routers.
*Timers mismatch.
*Different OSPF area.
*Interface shutdown.
