Passed my 200-105 yesterday with almost perfect score. Same labs. This site is invaluable. The dumps are valid. About 80%. Thanks to everyone on these boards and to this site. $9 is a steal. I used the following material:

Had about 5 or 6 new questions. One questions was about how to prevent a rogue switch from becoming the the ROOT Bridge. Two answers I remember:

The materials I used were listed below:
1. Wendell odom ICND 2 200-105 book (Must read this book for the concepts)
2. Measure up practice test for 200-105 (Optional)
3. Boson pracitice test exam for 200-105 (good for ICND 1 but not good for ICND2 – not recommended)
4. Very very important: Dumps on this forum (242 & 346 questions dump from pass leader. Note: The 346 questions doesn’t have extra questions. It is just repeated and the number of questions were increased there. So do not worry about 346 q dumps. You can prepare what you have, that means 242 question dump)
5. Dave’s quiz (I received from vince – Thanks to Vince)

About the exam:

The dumps are 80% valid. I had 3 sims and were 100% from the dumps but again topology were same as in the dumps but there were few twists in the questions so need to have good knowledge on OSPF, EIGRP and GRE tunneling. Be careful, you will see the same questions but the options might be twisted or changed. So the concept on the topic is must. I had hardly 2 or 3 new questions. Rest of them from the dumps. You can not completely rely on the answers and explanation given in the dumps. Your research on the topic is main thing and for that Wendell Odom book is must.

As I said i had only few new questions. One I remember was from HSRP. The question was regarding the different flavor (difference) in HSRP version 1 and version 2. Another was from SNMP but i couldn’t remember the full question. If it gets into my mind i ‘ll definitely share.

In HSRP version 1, millisecond timer values are not advertised or learned. HSRP version 2 advertises and learns millisecond timer values. This change ensures stability of the HSRP groups in all cases.

Yes I had all those questions but I didn’t answered them as it was explained in the dumps as i felt they were not right to me.

In QoS, ports are untrusted by default. To support this, I had explained and provided link regarding this before. Please have a look.

The second question I selected OSPFv3 in use.

@Dan242: 346q dump has nothing new questions except the same questions repeated at the end. So I would suggest to read the 242q dump and Dave’s quiz which will be enough to score good. Also Frame relay, Netflow, NAT and most IPv6 questions that are in 242q are not required to focus on. Good luck.

About labs:

The labs are the same but as many other said Cisco changes answers periodically.

You will need to know how to use/read those commands:
1. show ip interface brief
2. show running-config
3. show ip route

GRE- check for administrative down interfaces, check for missing addresses, check for misc. authentication

OSPF- check for HELLO and DEAD mismatch, check for AREA mismatch and there was a missing OSPF command in Router ( connection between R1 and R6)

EIGRP- check for authentication mismatch( #show running-config and looking for passsword mismatch), check for missing address(network X.X.X.X).

Thanks 9tuts, @vince, and @Frustrated. I passed my ICND 200-105 test today. So as of today, all the lab question are still the same, you really need to practice those questions though as there’s quite a few change of numbers here and there.
Question on QoS: Which statement about QoS Default behavior is true? The correct option is Ports are untrusted by default.
I too saw the difference between HSRP 1 and HSRP 2, unfortunately, my brain fried so bad… I can’t remember all the choice of answer. 5 choices, but pick two that are correct. I know for sure that one of the correct choice is: HSRP version 2 uses the new IP multicast address 224.0.0.102 to send hello packets.
There is one question out of blue, not sure if you guys are going to ever see it again.
which command should you enter to allow carry voice…, options:
a. switchport ?? (VLAN 10, maybe?)
b. switchport access
c. switchport trunk

I was double guessing myself on either switchport access or switchport host. I choose host, but I think it should probably be switchport access
Study dumps are still good, no need to have a updated on. But in addition to the dump, i do constantly check all the new questions posted on the discussion board. 3 out of 24 new question, I think posted the 1/2 showed up on my today’s test.

@sam, @Host, and @Anonymous. Don’t skip over the Frame Relay part of the study. You can skip the Frame-Relay lab. That lab for certain is removed. I still see Frame Relay questions on the test for the past three times and all happened this year.

You don’t really need that. I almost made the same mistake of buying the 99 dollars.
-Use the one everyone is been using. However, 5 to 6 questions have the wrong answers.
Go few pages back on this forum and you will find them. Also, Collect all the questions posted by test taker and I think you will be fine.

Looks like Cisco is aware about the all questions which have wrong answers in Dumps , Trust me I had all of them like 2DTPs,SDN, ACLs etc .. So We have to do 100percent research on these questions to get the right answers before going to the exam .. I think we should have all these at one place .

What about HSRP IP Address is true?
– if its part of the LAN
– Part of all other networks
– Local to the interface
-Appears in the routing table
– acts as default route for that interface > I choose this

About HSRP IP. According to the Cisco ICND2 Training manual = “HSRP is an FHRP (First Hop Redundancy Protocol)that allows for transparent failover of the first-hop IP device (default gateway). Most IP hosts have an IP address of a single router configured as the default gateway. When you use HSRP, the HSRP virtual IP address is configured as the default gateway for the host instead of the IP address of the router. HSRP defines a group of routers – one active one standby. Virtual IP and MAC addresses are shared between the two routers. To verify HSRP state, use the //show standby// command. HSRP is Cisco proprietary, and VRRP is a standby protocol”

This tells me in a way that @Sam is right with answer e – acts as default route for that interface. The only thing still not clear in than answer for me is the last part ….that interface…
