Share your ICND2 v3.0 Experience
The new ICND2 200-105 exam has come to replace the old ICND2 200-101 exam. We create the “Share your ICND2 v3.0 Experience” for everyone to share their experience after taking this exam.
Note for ICND2: There are no VRRP, GLBP, NetFlow and NAT questions (and they are not technologies learned in this exam).
Please share with us your experience after taking the ICND2 200-105 exam, your materials, the way you learned, your recommendations… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…
@Extrabacon I can’t open that link please post it again
@Dan where is the questions ? Could you share the link please
SDN AND PORT SECURITY SAME AS 9TUT
@Recent canna
Are you talking about the simulation? Which simulation specifically? I remember port security being on ICND1. So not sure where it would be on ICND2? And I don’t see a SDN lab in 9tut. Are you talking about the questions?
Hey guys just got back from my test. Passed with an 836. Saw the question with PC X and PC Y. Also got the question about MAX hello and dead timers. 90% of my questions were from the practice test in Joe’s dump. The GRE sim was the same topology as 9tut, some of my questions/answers weren’t the same as they are here though. Also got EIGRP and OSPF sim as was expected. No drag and drop. If you understand the topics and try to actually understand the answers behind the dump questions you will be fine.
Which command do you enter to enable an interface to support PPPoE on a client?
A. Dev1(config)# bba-group pppoe bba 1.
B. Dev1(config-if)# pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1
C. Dev1(config-if)# pppoe enable group bba1.
D. Dev1(config-if)# pppoe enable.
The answer for this is B and not D. I just tried this in an actual router. pppoe enable is not a legitimate command.

Guys just got this… All the videos for ICND1 & ICND2 here… ENJOY!!!
Which statement about QoS default behavior is true?
A. Ports are untrusted by default.
B. VoIP traffic is passed without being tagged.
C. Video traffic is passed with a well-known DSCP value of 46.
D. Packets are classified internally with an environment.
E. Packets that arrive with a tag are untagged at the edge of an administrative domain.
The answer for this is also A. Cisco instructor told me.
@Answers
Yes that is correct.
@Pekz
Congratz dude, did you have any syslog, port security, frame relay or netflow or even port errors, like CRC and stuff?
What about those “slow vlan” questions, did you have them? If so, what did you answer?
@Answers
According to Cisco website the correct answer is D.
“pppoe enable -> enables pppoe on the gigabit interface”
Source: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/bbdsl/configuration/xe-3s/bba-pppoe-client.html#GUID-B1DB9A75-76E3-4553-B3C3-A73046F5A505
@shady
I’m 100% sure it’s B. I configured it and couldn’t find any enable command that went along with pppoe.
@Answers
But.. when you’re configuring PPPoE you have to type pppoe enable, if you don’t, you won’t be able to set up a PPPoE session.
@Answers

Could you please share joe’s dump ? @ pekz
@Answer,
I believe @shady is right, pppoe enable (Enables a PPPoE session on the interface), not in the client, i tell you more, if you dont want to write pppoe enable on the interface is fine,, when you configure the pppoe-client dial-pool-number (Enable pppoe client) the IOS add pppoe enable to the interface automatically…

@shady
I had the question about slow inter vlan connectivity. Also had the question about collision domain issues (failing NIC answer).
I had the “Which component of the Cisco SDN solution serves as the centralized management system” and “Which Cisco platform can verify ACLs” question.
Do not follow the Pass Leader exams, they are useless and will not help you in passing. You need to read threw the material and learn it. The only one exam that help was Actual Exams and they didn’t have the new one at all.
@Peks
What was your answers in those questions u are reffering to…
I found this digging through websites:
point-to-multipoint is 30/120 by default and point-to-point is 10/40 by default.
Yet it does not say this anywhere in the Wendell Odom book. The word “max” had me all screwed up.
@Pekz
I’m still not sure if the answer is the NIC or overloaded shared segment, i mean, both can cause it.
You didnt answer me, were there Port security, sys log or proxy arp questions?
help with this one?
Host X and host Y are connected through the respective Gigabit Ethernet ports, but host X is unable to communicate with host Y. Which option is the most probable reason for the problem?
a) Host Y is using a network ID as its IP address
b) Host Y is using an invalid IP address and subnet mask
c) Host X is using a broadcast address as its IP address
d) Host X is using an invalid subnet mask
I had the which is the Central Management application for SDN, verify ACL question and the XY questions as well. The Default Qos question I went for E.
I scored 807, needed 811 to pass.
@Peter
Was there any questions about something that wasn’t on the exam topics? like port security, proxy arp, syslog or split horizon?
@Peter can you tell us your answers?
Host X and host Y are connected through the respective Gigabit Ethernet ports, but host X is unable to communicate with host Y. Which option is the most probable reason for the problem?
a) Host Y is using a network ID as its IP address
b) Host Y is using an invalid IP address and subnet mask
c) Host X is using a broadcast address as its IP address
d) Host X is using an invalid subnet mask
if you know subnetting..u will not be asking again and again about this question..do ur math
@JaVH no lol I haven’t yet. Booked it for next week bur there’s a slight problem. Can you PLZZ give me your email, need to disuss something. Thankyou very much
Had this one on my test;
Whats DTP’s default in a switch?
a)ON
b)OFF
c)Dynamic Desirable
d)Dynamic Auto
I answered D. It was between A and D for me, not C as i know that is for old switches ( anything older than a 3550 i believe )
Anyone else think it might be A?
Passed with a score in mid 900’s. All you need to use is nebs vce and practice the sims in GNS3/CPT. Thanks for the help everyone
@Maz
The defualt
QUESTION 31
Which Cisco platform can verify ACLs?
A. Cisco Prime Infrastructure
B. Cisco Wireless LAN Controller
C. Cisco APIC-EM
D. Cisco IOS-XE
As checked in our company’s Cisco Wireless LAN Controller. I can see the ACL in the left side of the tab
https://hsto.org/storage2/73b/016/34f/73b01634fcbe75620732230b7a04df31.gif
Key word ‘verify’ not create, check again – (hint, read about SDN).
Which two statements about TACACS+ are true? (Choose two.)
A. It can run on a UNIX server.
B. It authenticates against the user database on the local device.
C. It is more secure than AAA authentication.
D. It is enabled on Cisco routers by default.
E. It uses a managed database
I’m curious about this one, i would go with A and E, what about you guys?
Yeah, A E i would say – strange set of answers though.
Hi guys, almost done studying to take ICND2….Do you guys have the Dave’s sim link or the most valid you got to share?
Thanks in advance!
Hi guys, you all have been talking about this PC X and PC Y question..
But.. there is more information on the real test, right? It’s impossible to guess the problem by the information provided.
Has anyone done the ICDN1 exam in March? Any tips about areas covered? Anyone got mock cisco exams? Thanks. I sit exam next week so will report back.
Passed today with 965, all questions in the vce_updated from Neb… all is well answered there.
Sim were OSPF, EIGRP and GRE, same questions but different answers. Good luck to everybody
APIC-EM Path Trace ACL Analysis Tool to discover where traffic is being blocked along its path.
Sorry for my incomplete answer before.
@Maz
You have right. Correct answer is d)Dynamic Auto
http://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=2181837&seqNum=8
switchport mode dynamic auto:
Makes the interface able to convert the link to a trunk link. The interface becomes a trunk interface if the neighboring interface is set to trunk or desirable mode. The default switchport mode for newer Cisco switch Ethernet interfaces is dynamic auto. Note that if two Cisco switches are left to the common default setting of auto, a trunk will never form.
switchport mode dynamic desirable:
Makes the interface actively attempt to convert the link to a trunk link. The interface becomes a trunk interface if the neighboring interface is set to trunk, desirable, or auto mode. This is the default switchport mode on older switches, such as the Catalyst 2950 and 3550 Series switches.
@shady read through each option, which option seems plausible, and why? Work through each one in your head – you need to understand how a local segment works and behaves, if you do there is only one plausible answer (Hint, what purpose does the router server in this example?).
Err, Serve.
Chakdal, i went for option D, as the local devices do not need the router to talk to one another on the local segment with layer 2 being available.

Guys where is this joe’s dump, can someone please post a link. Thankyou 😀
@Dan, i will take the exam Today and i will Tell you.
Bombed yesterday – missed a pass by just a few points.
I choked on the simulations.. had EIGRP, OSPF and GRE, suddenly forgot how to read a darned thing..
Only saw one question I didn’t recognize outside of the sims. Some were worded a little different, answers were changed up, but still pretty much the same pool… Reviewing now but I actually felt pretty confident all the way through, so back to the grind it is for me…
@core sorry to hear that man. I have a an exam in couple of days, can you please tell if joe’s dump was helpful or not? Thanks.
@got exam this the dump which i am using so…

This silly and blunt question is bothering me .. can anyone explain please ?
Which two options are valid WAN connectivity methods? (Choose two.)
A. PPP
B. WAP
C. DSL
D. L2TPv3
E. Ethernet
@Matrix i would choose A & C Becuase PPP provides a standard method for transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links. PPP was originally emerged as an encapsulation protocol for transporting IP traffic between two peers. It is a data link layer protocol used for WAN connections.
DSL is also considered a WAN connection, as it can be used to connect networks, typically when used with VPN technology
@Xenit – yea, Joe’s was solid, and helpful
My old brain was the failing point.. and it’s not like I don’t know this stuff.. I just choked.
@Core oh seen that’s unfortunate. Gonna take mine in couple of days but i have lost all the stuff from my computer lol. I have dumps but no labs 🙁
Just got back, passed with 953/1000 – really happy, the hard work and dedication has paid off. I feel like I know the subject matter very well and I a deserving of it. Stay focused people, good luck to all those out there doing it the ‘right’ way.
@Peter, Well done! As with most things in life, you only get out what you put in. Feel accomplished, and confident in your new found knowledge! Apply it in your day to day job and strive to better yourself always! Knowledge is power! 🙂

is it a reliable site ? please help
Does anyone know a good vce player to use? Also, looking for the latest 200-105 dumps
Passed today 883
Thanks a lot to everyone on this site really all you need is 9tut
I am so happy this was my third try
OSPF was very tricky
Guys,
Two things to report.
1) Nebs dumps are spot on. Every question that came up on my exam ( except the SIMS ) was on his VCE file. So I would encourage everyone to use this as prep for the exam.
2) I purchased a $99.99 file from Passleader.com. Do not, I repeat DO NOT purchase this overpriced piece of garbage. I purchased this product thinking due to its price tag it would be a reputable product with a high level of detail included. I was completely wrong, the 400+ questions they provide to you in the product contains ALL of the old V2 stuff, despite being sold as a V3 product. That aside, the company actually offer a 30 day money back guarantee whereby, if you purchase the file and fail within a 30 day period they will give you your money back. Well, boys and girls.. that’s a lie. I failed within the 30 day period and produced the evidence they say they needed and they point blank refused to refund me the money and did not give me a reason why. My email chain with them ended with them saying “ case closed “. Terrible company and I would encourage all of you to STAY AWAY FROM PASSLEADER.COM !!!!
On a more positive note, I passed with a mark of 871 using Nebs VCE file which was free and completely spot on.
@Congrats Maz. Got exam on sunday can you please provide me Nebs dumps, i can’t find the link lol. And what about joe’s dump, was it helpful?
plzz reply
are there any fram realy questions??????
are there any netflow questions ??????????????????
@Xenit
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_sWkt0W604sdG44eE9tb2VGTk0/view?usp=sharing
That’s the one buddy.
I found Nebs was slightly better than Joes as Nebs had been tailored correctly to some of the new highly debated questions, most of which you can see in the last 3-4 pages. As of right now Nebs are spot on so I’d suggest using that. Also make sure you brush up on the labs you will get, think these are here on 9TUT. I got 3 sims in my exam which took up about 35 mins in total so be careful for time.
Best of luck !
@Maz cheers man
I passed today with 883
@ash no frame relay
I passes icnd2. Thanks 9tut
Could you share your dump please @GH and Sg
damn maz. Sorry about the 100 bucks wasted. Congrats on passing though!!
Are there any lab SIMs available to practice other than the ones Joe shared ?
its a shame i failed the exam because the labs took too much time of me.. 1hr 30 for this exam is not fair ,.. ended up panicking and clicked all over the place and failed ultimately
Does anyone here use packet tracer, if you do please drop your email because i need help. Thankyou.
I do Xenit… i am on r a m c k u m a r at gmail com
How do i open nebs vce….
Download packet tracer 7.0 , It’s free.. although it says you need to login you can wait for the guest login tab to appear.. once it does, all you need to do is wait for 15 sec before you can open the file
Guys quick one.
Which statement about DTP is true?
A. It uses the native VLAN.
B. It negotiates a trunk link after VTP has been configured.
C. It uses desirable mode by default.
D. It sends data on VLAN 1.
Dumps are saying D which i also think is correct.
Xenit, it’s A
Were can you get updated vce file reader
Is the EnsurePass 200-105 still valid with all the Frame Relay Questions in it?
Is Joes Dump still the best option?
I would advise against using Packer Tracer 7, it’s very buggy and prone to crashing right now, go with 6.3, it’s perfectly fine for CCNA apart from the PPPOE and ppp multi-link sections. Practice hard and learn, it’s the best way!
I used version 6.0, and real switches (at work), packet tracer is a great tool. I didn’t get any Frame Relay questions, these were replaced with SDN, IWAN, Named ACL’s, Congestion Management and QoS.
Passed ICND2 yesterday with 9XX score. Materials used:
1. CBT NUGGETS 200-105 TRAINING VIDEOS with Jeremy Cioara.
2. VCE file from 9tut (I think its from a user called Neb, thank you neb!)
3. Also i referred to some of the answers given by a user called MC in this site.
I got all the 3 simulations: GRE tunneling, OSPF & EIGRP. Like the other users mentioned, simulation questions does not require you to configure but to find out why adjacencies are not form between neighbours etc.
I didn’t get any NAT questions, didn’t get any IPv6 questions.
A few questions were regarding DTP. Disadvantages of proxy ARP. Cause of slow interVLAN forwarding.
@Netkeeper
“Is the EnsurePass 200-105 still valid with all the Frame Relay Questions in it?
Is Joes Dump still the best option”
There aren’t any questions in regards to frame relay.
Hello guys,
I have been studying this exam for 6 months now. I have how2pass and i answered all the questions correctly. What else i should do ? and How do i open this VCE file ?
@AcesHigh
please share your neb dump
Where are the questionaires ? ICND2 200-105 ?
Where are the questionnaires?
Can anyone share a copy of Neds dump that is in PDF i really don’t want to pay $55 for the vce software right now
@netkeeper
there is a link somewhere in here from neb to a share with a free vce player. That is how i got mine.
Thanks neb, you are a gift sent from above.
Hey guys, are there port-security questions? Thanks.
can anyone reshare neb vce?
Hey Guys, I took the test today & smashed it. I’m so happy. Thanks to joe, neb and everyone on this forum for helping. Everything was from here but there were alot of new questions. It seems they are catching up with the new stuff.Sims were the same but with different problems but if you know what you’re doing, you’ll be fine, just show commands. Once again thanks everyone & good luck to those who are taking the exam soon. Peace
Hi Xenit, were there any NetFlow and port-security questions? Thank you.
Yes saw couple of them.
