  4. Tydla
    April 25th, 2018

Passed today with 8XXX. I used 9tut and well known dumps from comments.
A lot of questions about SDN, SPAN, IP SLA, QOS, VOICE..
Many questions about switching(STP, VTP, DTP).

I have got one Drag and Drop about ACL(difference between standard and extended) and one lab about EIGRP(Why R1 and R6 are not neighbours…).

Study only dumps is not ENOUGH. Please read ICND2 book carefully.

    Good luck.

Hi All, Today I passed the ICND2 or CCNA exam. With 8**/1000. It was horrible. Lots of the question outside of this site. Although OSPF hotspot sim was same only some difference in second SIM for EIGRP. I used show run but it was not showing anyhting for network, interface ip address. Then I used show ip protocols, show ip interface and so on to see the configuration. I will start my preparation CCNP Routing soon. I forgot all of the new questions. About 20-30 question was different.

Just share my experience :- Don’t take the comments too seriously. I took the composite exam CCNA last year sep 2017 but failed, only managed to get 6++/1000, at that time I do not know the existence of 9tut. Only then I came to know, I be a premium member and took ICND1 on March 2018 pass with 9++/1000 (total study days 50 days) 90% of my studies in in 9tut practice the questions and their tutorials are really excellent, easy to understand, 10% I refer to youtube and other material. I can say the lab is same as 9tut – only with different questions, out of 67 questions about 30 was from 9tut. Just started my studies for ICND2 yesterday, will take the exam by end of this month. Sure will pass. 9tut material are really good, but you must also understand teh concept as the question for exam is easy but very tricky make us confuse and end up choose the wrong answer. For lab, understand how it works…because you may get the same lab as 9tut but with different set of questions..Good luck everyone…

    Hi Guys.

I pass my ICDN2 exam today with 8XX/1000 and It was kind of hard. Just 1 sim and 1 drag and drop and maybe 10 or 12 new questions, I think I was kind of lucky in comparison with other guys in this forum.

First, The new questions section part 1, part 2, composite quizzes and Tutorials, CONTAINS USEFUL INFORMATION AND SOME QUESTIONS THAT ARE USEFUL. So dont try to just memorize the Questions, It is importan to understand the concepts and the reasons behind each question.

I also strongly recommend to study the 9tut Tutorials.

I cannot remember all the detailled questions, but I can remember some topic themes:

    1. I remember 2 Questions related with SVI configuration, rules and tips (kind of tricky but if you know what is SVI is and how it works, it will only be a matter of common sense.

    2. Something like “what happens with IP SLA if an input interface is defined with x characteristics”…that was pretty tough–I read this material so maybe could help https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/ipsla/configuration/15-mt/sla-15-mt-book/sla_icmp_echo.html.

    3. something related with CISCO APIC PATH TRACE, related with a command to configure ACL and PATH and how to check invalid ACL (something like, if the acl is not valid, what APIC PATH TRACE will do.

    4. A question related with BGP and MPLS for VPN (this one Im sure I failed haha).

    5. Question related with SNMP, it was like “which command will you use to show the snmp versión and collection of users” I think is “show snmp group”.

    6. Like 3 questions related with BGP configuration, eBGP, BGP peers, AS and theory behind BGP.

    7. two questions that I had no idea what they were or what the answer was, related to Congestion management and one of the fields of the ethernet frame in QoS.

Thats all guys, Im sorry but I cannot remember more detailed information about the questions. I Hope this information is helpful or usefull.

Dont take the bad comments to seriusly and there is a lot of question that you can respond using just your common sense…..

but I recommend to study all of this topics (in general at least):

    https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/community/certifications/ccna/icnd2/exam-topics

When I was not sure if the 9tut questions were enough, I studied each topic on this link on my own.

@mrbean hope this Works for you, Sorry for not giving you more detailed information.

  44. Pardo
    May 4th, 2018

also I want to tank you 9tut for the information and questions, but I recommend that you please update the questions or at least help in something, it is hard for all of us to not know if the questions here serve or not. Please more collaboration with the premium members of the site.

@Pardo what sims and drag n drop?

  46. Pardo
    May 4th, 2018

@mrbean EIGRP sim and the drag and drop was related with DTP and vlans (default vlan, native vlan, trunk port, Access port), but that last one, was kind of easy…

  47. anyomus
    May 5th, 2018

    1) Trunk: Set the switch port to trunk mode and negotiate to become a trunk.
    2) Nonegotiate: Specify that the DTP packets are not sent out of this interface.
    3) Access: Set a switch port to permanent nontrunking mode.
    4) Dynamic Auto: Set the switch port to respond, but not actively send DTP frames.
    5) Dynamic Desirable: Make the interface actively attempt to convert the link to a trunk link. (This means the interface is ready to autonegotiate trunking encapsulation and form a trunk link (using DTP) with a neighbor port in desirable, auto, or on mode.)

    That drag and drop
+ poison reverse: A router learns from its neighbor that a route is down and the router sends an update back to the neighbor with an infinite metric to that route + LSA: The packets flooded when a topology change occurs, causing network routers to update their topological databases and recalculate routes + split horizon: This prevents sending information about a routeback out the same interface that originally learned about the route + holddown timer: For a given period, this causes the router to ignore any updates with poorer metrics to a lost network

My technique: official guide, 9tut and free dump. Be careful some of question answer is not right on the dumps, so you should troubleshoot the question from csc official website and 9tut comment.

I sat the ICND2 today. passed.
I studied most concepts though CCNA has lots of content it’s close to impossible to commit everything to memory. So my secondary tool to help pass exam was 9tut, having done literally 10 of the 15 composites (and redone em to ensure I got 80%). Then went through the ‘New Questions’ section on the side.
If I hadn’t studied any relied exclusively on 9tut then I would failed for sure. As they have reconfigured the EIGRP simulation. And that’s the only simulation which came up for me. The others didn’t.
Also they have the new drag & drop regarding BGF states, ie active, connected send or something. Infact there were numerous questions on that protocol which I couldn’t study as my study of CCNA is based on last year’s which included Wireless, NAT, DHCP & Frame Relay etc.

TBH, I am 110% certain that I had actually failed the exam as those unfamiliar topics I had to guess, and I guessed for 30% of the exam and there’s no way my score could have been more than 700. So I’m inclined to believe some questions weigh more than others, so much so that they probably are weighed nothing. Especially the ones I had to guess.
    I hope this helps everyone.

And do NOT rely entirely on brain dumps or 9tut, make sure you read the concepts even if you’re not intending on spending long time trying to understand it inside out. OTHERWISE YOU WILL FAIL!!!!!!!

  99. betko
    May 15th, 2018

hey, I just passed ICND2 today and I can tell you that, I got only about 40% of the questions from 9tut. I got 2 EIGRP sims, a few questions about BGP, EIGRP, OSPF (all together for about 15 questions), all other questions were about other topics.
All together I had 61 questions.

  100. Anonymous
    May 15th, 2018

@betko, are the sims the same or are the configurations different? Thanks.
