Share your ICND2 v3.0 Experience

one EIGRP sim was brand new, I didn’t see it before, I had 6 routers and a few switches in the middle and I had to answer to 4 questions. All commands I needed were the standard ones (show ip eigrp neib, show runn – eigrp topology and database were disabled). The other EIGRP sim was one as from 9tut (This one: Refer to the exhibit. Based on the exhibited routing table, how will packets from a host within the 192.168.10.192/26 LAN be forwarded to 192.168.10.1?)

@betko thanks so much for your help. Can u remember the questions on the new eigrp sims and the answers you chose. For the 2nd eigrp sims are the questions exactly the same as the one on 9tut? Thanks so much. I guess u said 40% of the questions are also here, are they on the first or the 2nd version update.

It was just like why doesn’t route to X network work as it should, what could be done to fix this issue,… But I had to check 4 of routers to find out the solution, it was pretty complex but nothing special.

I don’t know, I have pdf of 257 pages with questions for ICND1 and 2 together, file is from November 2017.

today passed icnd2 9xx/1000
what I got:
– 1 D&D about route poisoning, split horizon, holddown timer, LSA
– One EIGRP Lab. No configuration, only show commands. Same topology like in 9tut
– One Multichoice multiquestion about OSPF (same topology like in 9tut)
almost all questions are from dumps, but still in dumps need to find correct answers, as there mistakes can be. Relying only on dumps is not enough, but still reading/analyzing each question in dumps few days before an exam is good.

new questions that I didnt see in dumps is about HSRP preemption (delay parameter), switch stacking master/slave election and state change.

9tut prices have gone up for premium since I took ICND1. A month and half with no update on ICND2 is a joke. Get with it 9tut.

Don’t aspire to have one. Not taking anyone’s money either. The statement made is that what’s there in the New section is 85-90 percent of the test. That’s not accurate. A 45 day subscription beginning at the last update is about up. Pretty unfortunate.

Passed ICND2 yesterday with the help of this site. The important thing for me was to review answers as to why they are the answer. Not just memorizing. I noticed some questions were reworded a bit differently. I had a EIGRP sim which had 2 new questions. Total of 61 questions. WAN was my weakest topic. Oh well.

hi, dccisco, congrats on passing your exam, what was the other sims u had in the exams or is it just one? Also, on the eigrp sim, what exact questions did you get and how did u answer it. What could be the possible problem ?

– HOST X has a wrong subnetmask

– HOST X is not using a broadcast address ?!?!

Same EIGRP sim as 9tut. Like wahala! said, they really mixed up the answers a bit.

I remember a couple of new apic-em questions regarding ACL traces but can’t remember the exact question. I’d say roughly 30-40 questions were old existing questions from here but changed slightly. About 15 were the new Part 2 questions that others have posted. And about 10 questions were completely new. I actually thought I signed up for the wrong test at first! lol

Throwing this out there! cause its still getting me excited.
– You have 60 or 61 question in 2 hours; [thinking for a question exceeding 3 min- Tic Tic clock ]
– Dumps are NO GUARANTEE ! You may see “familiar” answers choices, but read question, look at exhibit again [if any] or check config if possible.
– What is the point !! [if in doubt or you think its a “stupid or nonsense question”, use logic ]
example: the case of HOST X CANNOT COMMUNICATE with HOST Y. They didnt say Host Y cannot..
: in my experience if you connect two hosts on a switch; HOST Y will see the arp as [ ip address but MACaddress as 0 incomplete] of HOST X [ E.G host x =172.16.1.1 , mask 255.0.0.0 & host y = 172.16.1.1 255.255.255.0 ] that is if the whole network is /24 [again you need some experience to make reasonable guesses ]

= by far my issue with these exams is the [ multiple choices with multiple answers: choose 2 or 3 ] you get 2 correct, you fail 1= fail question [they bring that alot ]
process of elimination [ fingers crossed ] guaranteed [you will think, read question again; time time]

= the LABs are not difficult [ honestly; 4 questions, read question => go check router ]

Invadgir, the quizlet StruggleBus is putting together looks pretty good. I tested last week and did not pass but some of those questions on that new quizlet were asked (had not seen them before). 9tut is helping overall but not a guarantee to pass like most have said.

Passed the exam last week. Passed.

Did all the composite quizzes and ‘new questions’. Did study Etherchanel, STP, OSPF, EIGRP, GRE Tunnelling and WAN stuff though. This site helps, but don’t rely on it 100% if you want to pass, you’ll just end up getting 60% or around that much. Remember Question Dumps is NOT the way to go, but rather a supplement to give you that extra bit of confidence which consolidates existing knowledge and a feel of what’s to come.

Looking over the Pass Leader dumps it appears there are a lot of syslog/nat/frame questions that do not appear here on 9tut. I am curious if that is old information and does not pertain to the new test.

To me it looks like they tease you wit the old stuff (250 questions) to try and get you to pay for the new content. I spent a lot of time yesterday morning reviewing their free content only to find out it a lot of it was old information.

I had only 7 question from 9 tut!!! 52 totally new queustions which are no in 9 tut. Sorry,but 9 tut told me a garatentee that I pass.
9tut how it is possble that I had 52 completely new?

@Franklin – Kind of nerve racking huh? I am just going with what I know. I feel good about all the composites test. Been through all the simulations and understand the processes (including the OSPF Hotspot that does not allow us to be interactive). I know the drag and drops including BGP Neighbors. I have been through all the New questions both part 1 and part 2. At some point you got to just take the test and go with what you know! I am looking forward to moving past this so I can take it easy for another 3 years 🙂

Yeah, you are right, but it doenst make sense if Peter says there a only 7 questions from 9tut, while other people are just saying that 60/70% of the questions came from 9tut.

I have studied hard for this exam and I hope I will do well!

I take some of the comments with a grain of salt. With that being said it is definitely possible a lot of the questions have changed. I can not control what I don’t know. The test should be interesting. I will let you know.

Took the test. It is different for sure and I was positive that I failed. I passed 🙂

Simulations were the same topology as here. The answers were different.
The big items were
QOS
Tunnels
BGP
SVI
APIC-EM

There were still quite a few questions from here that were on the test. I believe the test was fair and it shows if you have good knowledge of how things work.

Because this was not a open and shut case exam for me, time management came into play. Keep an eye on that clock.

half-ish… I definitely needed 9tut to help me make it through this! With that being said and with the test appearing to be in transition right now, if I only studied 9tut and didn’t have experience, I don’t think I would of passed. 🙁

I passed ICND2 a while ago and it was not easy, I highly recommened the Boson practice tests as well as 9tut tests.

Dont instill fear in other pple cisco exams are very easy if you the concepts

They seem to be changing the test a lot recently. I have been studying on here and trying to learn the concepts everyone is saying is on the tests. I had a book from last year for the icnd2 and it has no mention of the APIC-EM really, very little on it. I am trying to find some good study material on it.

@Franklin…. How did it go?

They put APIC-EM in the Cisco Press book for ICND2, but they don’t go into any information about it at all. Literally, in the book, they apologize for not getting further into it. The book says that they didn’t have time to write more about it because they were in a rush to finish and publish the book. The best advice I have is to just dig around on YouTube for APIC-EM. I know that’s not very helpful, though.
