krixs yes they are the same labs and I think the same questions. I read somewhere here that they have changed something to make our life hard but I think that they are the same . In my 60 questions I have a lot of SMTP verification questions and also ACL. For example :

How you can verify and see MID time… ? … something like that and some of answwers were:

    – show ipv6 max-age
    – show ipv6 hello-10

I choose Max-Age but don’t know is the correct one.

Just read SMTP show commands, troubleshooting and you will be ok. Hope this is helpfull.

If someone have new dumps (updated) or someone correct Daves test please share with us.
Sharing question is big help for everyone. We all have one purpose – CCNA. Thanks

Sorry my mistake, I mean MIB ( SNMP ) .

Each agent keeps a database of variables that make up the parameters, status, and counters
for the operations of the device. This database, called the Management Information Base
(MIB), has some core elements in common across most networking devices. It also has a
large number of variables unique to that type of device—for instance, router MIBs will
include variables not needed on switch MIBs, and vice versa.

    ok!

today, i passed again on the first attempt using the following studying materials

    1. this web site’s Premium Membership

    2. passleader icnd2 v3 16.081 the 346 questions

just like the icnd1 v3 test i encountered plenty of test questions not covered in the studying materials listed above

this does not mean you will get the same set of questions as i did.

    anyhow,

what i can recall at this time —

i was not asked any questions pertaining to frame relay, ipv6, which switch is the root, drop or drag, or etc

i was given simulators for OSPF, EIGRP, and GRE. both this web site’s PM and PL covered this material. do not memorize the answers. understand the subject and how to trouble shoot the issue. i encountered different answers from the studying material.

lets see what set of questions and simulators i am giving during the job interview 🙂

  25. krixs
    December 21st, 2016

@JAVH and @one what exactly was the question regarding reverse arp??
Reverse ARP (RARP) as defined by RFC 903 works the same way as the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP), except that the RARP request packet requests an IP address instead of a media access control (MAC) address. RARP often is used by diskless workstations because this type of device has no way to store IP addresses to use when they boot. The only address that is known is the MAC address because it is burned in to the hardware.

    i failed, was close.

    got these questions i remember:

What is a drawback of proxy ARP?
    – can’t remember the answers

What is the maximum cost for hello and dead packets in OSPF?
    A) hello 10
    B) hello 60
    C) dead 40
    D) dead 120
not sure but i choose hello 60 and dead 120.

Which WAN solution is secured by default?
    A) VPN
    B) DSL
    C) LCP
    D) PPP
and some more, can’t remember them all.

Got this question with a exhibit. there where no ip addresses or subnets.
    Exhibit was like this:

    Router
    |
    |
    Switch
    / \
    host x host y

Host X and Host Y are connected wit their gigabit ethernet cables, Host X can’t communicate with Host Y, what is wrong?
    A) host x has a broadcast address configured
    B) host y has a network address configured
    C) host x has a wrong ip address configured
    D) host y has a wrong ip address and subnetmask configured

    What could be the answers?

    Proxy ARP disadvantages:
    • It increases the amount of ARP traffic on your segment.
    • Hosts need larger ARP tables in order to handle IP-to-MAC address mappings.
    • Security can be undermined. A machine can claim to be another in order to intercept packets, an act called “spoofing.”
    • It does not work for networks that do not use ARP for address resolution.
    • It does not generalize to all network topologies. For example, more than one router that connects two physical networks.

Which WAN solution is secured by default?
    A) VPN <—

    Third – no idea.

Here what I don’t understand. Why some people are getting 60 questions when the Cisco guide specifically said 45 to 55 questions. Furthermore, within those 60 questions, you get 5 SIMs with 4 questions each. Can someone clear this one for me.

Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 (200-105)
Exam Description: The Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 exam (200-105) is a 90-
minute, 45–55 question assessment that is associated with the CCNA Routing and Switching
certification. This exam tests a candidate’s knowledge and skills related to LAN switching technologies,
IPv4 and IPv6 routing technologies, WAN technologies, infrastructure services, and infrastructure

@Master – The GRE lab/sim is the same one that has been mentioned on this site (9tut) for a long time now. In the test they only change a couple of small details, so you still have to know your show commands, and the basics of how GRE Tunnels operate.

@KBL – Check your emails shortly.

@one – I’m happy you also got this question. I’m sorry that I cant remember the question completely, but now I know to go read up on this “reverse ARP” before my next attempt.

@krixs – like I mentioned to @one, I can’t remember the question, only remember the term “reverse ARP”, maybe @one can remember something more?

@SAM – Check your mails shortly

@Hoth – I quickly scanned thru the link you send, and yes that questions seems to be valid. I didn’t check all of them but non the less some of the q’s on pages 1 was in the exam.

Passed today with 895. Sources were Odom book and Chris Bryant on UDEMY for the last 2 months and Kevin Wallace videos this past week. <—— Dude is BAD ASS. And of course this website. Honestly, I didn't look at the questions thoroughly on this site until about 5 hours before the exam. I'd say about 60-70% of those were on the exam. Also the link above that HOTH provided, there were questions from those 200+ questions on the exam as well. None of the frame relay of course. Also, many of the debated questions on this forum, unfortunately, were on my exam. There were some new questions that had me saying, WTF is this, that showed up on there too. I can't remember those right now. So be ready. Thanks to all those that have contributed.

  45. Uncle Rico

2 questions on SPAN. One was pretty straight forward and easy if you’ve read the section on that. The other one through me off and the following info might be helpful in answering that question.

To avoid disrupting traffic, do not oversubscribe any of these points in your SPAN topology. Some oversubscription and performance considerations are:
    •SPAN doubles traffic internally
•SPAN adds to the traffic being processed by the switch fabric
    •SPAN doubles forwarding engine load

    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst6500/ios/12-2SX/configuration/guide/book/span.html

One was on proxy ARP and what kind of negative affect it creates. I guessed on that one. If I remember more, i’ll post them.

I read here that somebody saw that cisco have change the labs for exam. I want to know what is the difference too but nobody shares.

  49. DimSum
    December 23rd, 2016

    Yesterday I passed the ICND2 (200-105) exam with a score of 825.

I used Todd Lammle’s study guide to prep me and it was really helpful in understanding the basics. However, the exam questions don’t entirely match the content (exam still focuses on NAT, ACL and not so much on QoS, SDN and some other topics).

Last week I went through the latest Passleader dumps (346Q) which have been updated in December and must say it covered most of the exam. I had 3 SIMs on EIGRP, OSPF & PPP/GRE connectivity with 4 questions in each SIM requiring show commands.

The SIMs are in the latest passleader dumps but be careful, as stated previously, the issues & answers have been mixed up by Cisco (so don’t make the error to know the answers by heart without understanding the questions).

Example question I had on I had on my exam:

You enter the show ipv6 route command on an OSPF device and the device displays a route. Which conclusion can you draw about the environment:

    A. OSPF is distributing IPv6 routes to BGP
    B. The router is designated as an ABR
    C. The router is designated as totally stubby
    D. OSPFv3 is in use

  50. Uncle Rico
    December 23rd, 2016

Congrats DimSum… I had that same question and I selected D.
Also guys, there was a question on PPPoE Server configuration regarding which part is responsible for assigning an IP address. Something like that. Also, how the APIC-EM Path Trace ACL Analysis Tool tracks routes. This video should help.
    http://kwallaceccie.com/apic-em/

The SIMs were pretty straight forward. OSPF, EIGRP and GRE. Just read the question and do a process of elimination on the answers given.

@krisx About Tacacs question – Here are the possible responses from tatacs:

The network access server will eventually receive one of the following responses from the TACACS+ daemon:

    a. ACCEPT—The user is authenticated and service may begin. If the network access server is configured to requite authorization, authorization will begin at this time.

    b. REJECT—The user has failed to authenticate. The user may be denied further access, or will be prompted to retry the login sequence depending on the TACACS+ daemon.

    c. ERROR—An error occurred at some time during authentication. This can be either at the daemon or in the network connection between the daemon and the network access server. If an ERROR response is received, the network access server will typically try to use an alternative method for authenticating the user.

    d. CONTINUE—The user is prompted for additional authentication information.

what is the default status of DTP?

The default DTP mode is dependent on the Cisco IOS Software version and on the platform. To determine the current DTP mode, issue the show dtp interface command, as shown in the following output.

    Trunk by default.

    Disadvantages of Proxy ARP:

Disadvantage of Proxy ARP include scalability (ARP resolution is required for every device routed in this manner) and reliability (no fallback mechanism is present, and masquerading can be confusing in some environments). ARP manipulation techniques, however, are the basis for protocols providing redundancy on broadcast networks (e.g., Ethernet), most notably CARP and Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol.

Proxy ARP can create DoS attacks on networks if misconfigured. For example a misconfigured router with proxy ARP has the ability to receive packets destined for other hosts (as it gives its own MAC address in response to ARP requests for other hosts/routers), but may not have the ability to correctly forward these packets on to their final destination, thus blackholing the traffic.

I failed ICND2 twice now. Both times, I wasn’t able to finish quickly enough, with 6-10 unanswered questions. Before the second test, I re-read the whole “Official” Cert Guide and went through all 300 questions twice, till I could get about 97% right. I do not know how Cisco can justify a situation where people are not allowed to learn from their official book–come on! This is ICND guys, not CCIE. I worked as a network engineer for well over a decade, so this is absurd. They have really gone off the deep end. I am guessing that Cisco is trying to “feed” the training companies, by making it difficult to just read a book. I think this is a bad approach for the basic level certification. Just my humble opinion… Anyway, you guys do whatever you have to. This is just another hoop to jump through apparently. I want to learn everything I can, but at some point I actually need to just pass the test, and apparently one needs the questions (or a $3000 class).

    @Frustrated,

First sorry for no passing the exam. Just like you I took the exam twice and the 3rd I figured out what I was doing wrong. To help you, here what I will suggest. do a lot of GRE , EIGRP and OSPF hands-on. I am pretty sure you are spending a lot of time on SIM questions.
-Make sure you know where to find the timers, router ID etc… (This should take you at least a week) then go to the following -it is not like those scammers posting stuff here everyday-
ccnapremium dot com there are more than 300 question for the ccna. and let me know how it works out

Has anyone got the answer to the below question please?

maximum hello and dead time in ospf?

  86. Dan242
    December 29th, 2016

    @ New Tricks
Not Sure if your question is a trick or not. But, I will give you the answer

 By default, OSPF Hello packets are transmitted to 224.0.0.5
    (all OSPF routers) every:
    • 10 seconds (Default on multiaccess and point-to-point networks).
    • 30 seconds (Default on NBMA networks – Frame Relay).
 The Dead interval is the period, expressed in seconds, that
the router will wait to receive a Hello packet before
    declaring the neighbor “down.”
    • If the Dead interval expires before the routers receive a Hello packet,
OSPF will remove that neighbor from its link-state database.
    • The router floods the link-state information about the “down” neighbor
    out all OSPF enabled interfaces.
 Cisco uses a default of 4 times the Hello interval.
    • 40 seconds (Default on multiaccess and point-to-point networks).
    • 120 seconds (Default on NBMA networks – Frame Relay).

  87. New Tricks

    @Dan242
Apologies the question was what is the max cost of ospf?

  88. Dan242
    December 29th, 2016

    @ New Tricks

When you configure an OSPF interface with a cost, you can do it directly using ip ospf cost or have the cost calculated for you using auto-cost reference bandwidth. Whichever method you choose, the OSPF RFC 2328 calls it “the cost of sending a packet out this interface”. The Router LSA, or type-1 LSA, has a 16-bit field (65535 in decimal) to represent the “interface output cost”. An interface cost of 65535 is also known as “LSInfinity”.

  89. Dan242
    December 29th, 2016

    @ New Tricks

Sorry, I pasted the whole theory about the interface. Here what you need to know. The max cost is 65535

    Thanks

Here is a question that I am struggling with. The standard answer is supposed to be Cisco ACI, according to the dumps I have seen, but when I look it up, the Cisco APIC is actually more of a “component” while the ACI is more of an architecture. So, I’m wondering if I should go with my research or the incorrect “right?” answer.

Which component of the Cisco SDN solution serves as the centralized management system?
    A. Cisco OpenDaylight
    B. Cisco ACI
    C. Cisco APIC
    D. Cisco IWAN

    Answer: B ???

Roy, TY for the PassLeader dumps!
Like a fool, I paid $45 for dumps from both CertBus and Exams4Sure (which were virtually identical). They both had a lot of Frame-Relay, which I know isn’t on the current ICND2 exam.
I’ll go through the PassLeader questions to compare it with the others, and I’ll let you guys know what I find out. But if anyone has any comments on which dumps are the most up-to-date and accurate, I’m sure we all want to know about that. Thanks!

  96. Dan242
    December 29th, 2016

    @ Frustrated
Thanks that you asked that question. The ACI is also known as the Southbound (going to the router). However, the APIC (cisco version being the APIC-EM) is the centralized version of it.
Here what I’ve got from the cisco website :

APIC-EM is a central part of Cisco Digital Network Architecture. It delivers software-defined networking to the enterprise branch, campus, and WAN. Its simple user interface lets you automate policy-based application profiles. With this module, IT can respond rapidly to new business opportunities
