Hi guys, I have a question, maybe someone can clarify this for me:
There is a question I keep seeing the the dumps about the way a packet will go trough a switched network. Please see the photo in the link. I can’t understand why I am wrong with this. http://img8.imageshack.us/i/63666990.jpg/
    Thanks in advance

If packet is passing back a->e->a->d

    a->e->a , i hope it is looping

So i think answer will be a->e->c->d

    Please help me on this

  14. CW
    January 8th, 2011

Karthik… You are correct. The packets CANNOT return to the originating equipment. If it does return, a loop has occurred. Therefore, the answer is a->e->c->d

    January 10th, 2011

Thanks to all, passed my ICND2 on saturday. There are some of the questions/lab i had to do:
    – Switch Lab (see matty’s doc)
-Frame Relay Sim (see CCNA 9tut website)
i had some drag and drop questions about holddown timers etc.. but it was different to the ones i’ve seen from the dumps and on this website. on the exam i had to drag and drop the explanation into the corresponding action (holddown timer, poison reverse etc..).
one of the questions was 2 switches connected to 2 hosts each (vlan10 and vlan20) and had a box in the middle with a question mark and then it ask you to choose the device name with the cabling required.

I got 1 question about IPV6, i had to choose 2 charachteristics, one loopback address and something about link-local with FF something something, so revise that.

I got IP addressing scheme question, where one switch has 16 hosts and it gives you the option of /28 and a /27, make sure you remember the -2 (MINUS 2) rule, one for broadcast and one for network so choosing the /27 is the correct answer.

I had a lot of question with ACL so revise that inside out.

    Hi,
I schedulled my exam next week on Tuesday in Romania. I have been studying: CBT, Chris Bryant and all the dumps on certcollection and 9tut. Making last preparations this week.
Wish me luck. I’ll be back with the result.

I will let everyone know how it went for me tomorrow morning. I feel good… but sometimes that can be a bad thing!

Just walked out…. 950/1000. I will give details later today. ALL questions were from p4s…. All of them!

  30. CW
    January 13th, 2011

OK…. so I have had time to reflect on today’s test. Here is the bottom line…. as I stated before I “Watched CBT Nuggets several times, P4S…. over and over… and over, Matty’s Doc, and Cisco Packet Tracer (Downloaded CPT sims from 9tut).” If someone knew nothing about networking and only did the P4S program (Honabusa’s document) and the Cisco Packet Tracer with the downloadable SIMS here on 9tut… they will pass. Every question was from P4S and is on Honabusa’s document. I paid for the P4S and I assure you there has been no updates since Honabusa’s document was created. Yes it is 272 questions but if you know them by heart your good! Download the Cisco Packet Tracer and the downloadable sims here on 9tut. I had several drag and drops one with Split horizon – hold down timer – LSA and so forth (On P4S) . I also had another drag and drop covering IP address, netmask (on P4S). A lab sim assigning IP, default-gateway, vtp mode, and vtp domain. EVERYTHING is on the P4S (Honabusa’s) document.

Have fun….. see you in CVOICE, CCNA Wireless, then CCNP!!!!!

@CW!! Congrats for nailing the exam and thanks for keeping us your experience.

  33. Diggi
    January 14th, 2011

    @Allex1, the answer is correct.

ACLs work off of three basic rules.

    1. Top down processing
    2. Immediate execution upon a match
    3. Implicit deny any at the end

The deny statement they are asking you to put in would come after the “permit ip any any” statement that is alread in place. Since we have immediate execution upon a match, you would never make it to the new deny statement. So the change would have no effect on the packets being filtered.

    Hope that helps.

Can someone please explain this one to me? http://img11.imageshack.us/i/30992160.jpg/

    literal mistake should be vty

  42. CW
    January 16th, 2011

It is a question you will see on the exam…. exactly as written on your picture. Access lists may be used for purposes filtering IP traffic, defining traffic to Network Address Translate (NAT) or encrypt, or filtering non-IP protocols such as AppleTalk ,IPX etc. See: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk361/tk821/tsd_technology_support_sub-protocol_home.html

RSTP DOES define new port roles-discarding for example

@Luukash. You will not see labsims from ICND1. You will only receive labsims from ICND2.

  49. CW
    January 17th, 2011

    @Yaknow

RSTP merged “Disabled” – “Blocking” – “Listening” into “Discarding”. Basically it took the Disabled, Blocking, and Listening of STP and gave them a new name known as DISCARDING. But while it merged these three port states, note it did not “Define” a new port state. RSTP only merged existing STP port states into a new name (Discarding).

    @CW
Thanks for pointing this out-got that(tricky cisco bastards)))
What about RSTP is proprietary implementation of 802.q standard
    Is it correct too ??

  51. CW
    January 17th, 2011

@yaknow… there is a time when we must concede defeat to Cisco. And this sir, is one time I concede…. I have absolutely no idea why it is proprietary. I have looked and dug around everywhere and I am clueless.

  52. Allex1

    Here is another one:
    http://img11.imageshack.us/i/35063107.jpg/
Can someone please explain to me what will prevent the routers to form a neighbouring relation? Or is it because they don’t show the conf of R2 and you can’t assume the proper network commands have been set?
    Thanks in advance.

  53. Yaknow
    January 17th, 2011

    @Alex
There on your example there is incorrect default static route( it says everything you don’t know send out int s 0/0 should be s0/1 instead pointing ISP) causing neighbor relationship not to form

    Hi,
just got back from the exam:
The good news is that I passed with 905, the bad news is that more than 50% of the questions were not from the latest dumps I worked(luukash and the others new ones, 3 or 4). I have seen many questions that I haven’t saw before in the dumps I worked (And I worked a lot of dumps). Many had some trick questions, at first I was sure of an answer but when I read again I had to put another answer. There were 2 or 3 drag and drop questions that I haven’t seen before. I got the new VTP sim, the Frame-relay question sim, and another question sim that I can’t remember right now. It took me about 100 minutes. So my advice would be not to relay on dumps very much, know the concepts very well. After the first 10 question I was beginning to wonder if I will pass.
Thanks a lot guys for all your support and most of all thank you 9tut.

  63. testICND2 failed
    January 18th, 2011

    failed today with 798.

I studied Pass4S$% until 98% on all the 272 questions.

I studied 9tut sims and ran packet tracer to do the sims…which I did good on.

the problem was all the multiple choice questions were different, strange and unfamiliar.

there was maybe 6 questions from pass4sure that I recognized.

    🙁

  64. Failio 798
    January 18th, 2011

also: several of the drag and drops were on the ICND2 test

all of ICND2 9tut.net questions are in the latest version of p4s 640-816 icnd2

there were only 6 or 7 identical multiple choice on the real test.

I can’t recall the unfamiliar questions because there was over 20…

I had vtp and frame relay.
Most of the questions were from P4S from Honobusa’s PDF so thank you to them in published work. Some of that the questions were from

    W1zard.312q.

and the exam every point counts so check them too.

A list of questions that I had i will try to create and make available on Sat or Sundays

I wish you all good luck and see you on CCNP

ok, I have rescheduled my exam for next week, but your message and the ones above contradicts totally what CW wrote on page 13, and he took the text just 6 days ago. So I’m wondering how does the eSim test software update its pool of question, is it global, and is there any delay in updating between english and other languages ?…

I scored a 798, and believe I completed the Labsims correctly. I’ve found @ 6 questions that I’ve answered wrongly in a few of the dumps that I’ve been searching today..which were on the test but not in P4s.

    well I’ve checked some “certexampass” site, dump4certs has updated december 9 2010, p4s december 5 2010, certifyme january 14 2011, testking november 8 2010, actualtests august 31 2010…

    dunno who’s more “reliable”

Gentlemen…. I have seen a few people posting different results. Mt test was 100% from p4s. I knew all 272 questions forwards and backwards scrambled and unscrambled. I have seen several people post questions they received on their test but “were not in p4s”. Some of these questions I know are in p4s. I’m sure in some of the exams nerves played a piece of the missed questions. I recommend p4s, mattys doc, and cisco packet tracer. Was I lucky I received all questions from p4s, maybe. But I would take the exam again and bank on the exam questions were in the documents I used. Know them scrambled and unscrambled.

I had a NAT question where option was to re-apply inside or outside on whichever interface you wanted to….if I recall correctly it was overloaded but I don’t remember seeing a pool.

    @ CW

these 3 questions are not in the ps4 272 question posted here by honabusa neither in the luukash .vce version. I too know all 272 questions forwards and backwards scrambled and unscrambled, and it’s been 4 days I’m scoring 1000 every single time on all of the exam within 10 mins for each.

    @luukash

first of all thank you for your patience to have made these as .vce, then I’m actually on the W1zard.312q and will post the difference I’ll meet with the 272 asap.

    January 20th, 2011

ok, so in W1zard.312q exam E has 104 questions totally different from the p4s272, exams ABCD are the same as in p4s272 minus 64 questions. But within these 104 none is like those 3 above.
I’m too tired to check the 802 tonight…

I know cisco changed their CCNA Wireless exams as of this past Monday. They may have changed the ICND2 as well. I took the CCNA Voice exam this past Monday and did not see new questions there. It could simply be a roll out of a new exam….. If it is I’m sure new dumps will hit the street quickly. Keep your eyes peeled for P4S… When I was doing ICND1 cisco changed the exam and p4s updated the same week.

    Good luck guys.

heh, yeah, I had the same bad timing with p4s and ICND1 a few weeks ago…didn’t recognize but 10 questions or so…. it would be nice to expect the same questions we’re paying money to see and study… lol… braindumps for MCSE back in 2000…the good ole days.

@CW yeah, maybe nerves during the test…. as soon as I realized I wasn’t going to pass FOR SURE I may have been stricken with clicky finger…the answer is mostly add a gateway, dual stacking, and the interfaces are on different subnets, if I saw that answer I chose it…otherwise it was A, C and D… never none of the above except for none of the devices.

Ramius always turns to port in the bottom half of the hour.

    Just comeback from exam
And yes cisco changed test dump is invalid(20% valid)
I passed with 920 although I’m CCNP certified I tell you the truth I passed cause I know cisco well.
I needed higher score for CCSI instructor I am planning to be so I am good now.
So guys understand the concepts and you’ll pass.
I had VTP sim with switch management ip 192.168.199.194 255.255.255.224 and default gateway 192.168.199.193 and assign the first AVAILABLE address in the management subnet, Cisco is trying to trick you here because its belongs to 192.168.199.192 subnet
so first address is 192.168.199.193 which is default gateway, so you need to assign 192.168.199.195.
Also there were those 3 questions that CW posted.

i have scheduled my exam for 1/31 to give me a few extra days to study the material more. It seems as if Cisco has changed the exams and i dont feel so strongly about chancing failure. So guys tell us of any changes or any points of interest because I would really appreciate any guidance.

Thanks to all who provide feedback and comments. This site is awesome.

    p4s email:

Yes, we are expecting a big change tomorrow. Please keep look our website for this change

    email from me to p4s:

On 9tut.net / com a few more people are claiming large changes with only a few of this versions questions on the 640-816. I found the questions I did not have in exam notes for 640-802 CCNA test…..

Is there an estimated time of update? Less than 7 days?

@TestICND2…. well it sucks they changed right when you guys was testing… but at least P4S is updating! After the update, get it down quickly and get to the test center before it changes again!

    Good Luck!
