their guarantee says 4 days for an update / change….. so let’s hope for the best and study the rest.

The best way to pass is completely understand each question.Thats the way I’ve done it.

I like to take a dump before I test.

I don’t understand this. How many of you are JUST using the braindumps?

Are you understaning it conceptually? Are you understanding why STP chooses what ports to be the blocking port? Do you know why OSPF messes up when its configured incorrectly? Do you know how to setup NAT?

It’s not a matter of not doing it in real life, that’s why you use sims. Your first job as a network engineer will most likely have you do things you have never done in a professional environment, like frame-relay, but low and behold you learned that in the CCNA!

If you are getting certified purely off of dumps then you are cheating yourself and your career. Not trying to be a dick, just honesty.

My process:

CBT Nuggets
Read Book
Do legit practice test (non-dump)
then dump, but not worry about “new updates”

Everybody is getting all high and mighty about the dumps. When the very reason we are all here is to find friendly co-testers who are willing to share in their experiences of testing. Even if that is from dumps, 9tut, studying or other sites. We are all here looking for the solutions in passing this exam. Truthly we all need some sort of help or assistance or we wouldn’t be coming here. So People lets study the objectives, do the sims, read the comments from the People who have passed and those who have failed. And don’t forget the importance of the dumps even though they may not be valid at the time they are getting you to study and some of them have explanations that help tremendously. I for one think all the input that I can get is a blessing. Thanks JoJo

Perhaps I was to harsh, what I meant was if you actually study the concepts, the test becomes a lot easier.

It is a hard test, studying JUST the dumps just makes it harder. I would argue you could study for the ICND2 in a month and pass it, while knowing your stuff when you get to the interview.

The problem is, if you are just using dumps, you will fail either at the interview, or in the job. Even if you don, I guess I just find it that you are cheating yourself because you will be stressed when you should know something from the CCNA that you run into in the work force.

I will let you guys get back to your daily dumps, didn’t mean to go high horse. Also, I have not taken the ICND2 yet, so I don’t presume to be all pompous about it. I am literally just trying to help others in their career here.

Also I wanted to add, I am saying all this because I studied the hell out of ICND1 and I looked at the dump at the very end.

Like Failed ICND2, my dump did not line up with the test AT ALL. Every single question was different, not just in IP, but in concept as well. I passed with a 900 and I strongly feel its because I knew my concepts.

Just friendly advice guys. Failed ICND2, don’t worry you will knock em dead next time. 🙂

@ Everyone… Let me throw my two cents in here. I agree that knowing the concepts will only benefit us all. I imagine everyone here would believe the same. However, when you are on a site which clearly passes along exam answers…. do not place yourself higher than anyone else. You are here for the same reasons as all others.

If you want to study dumps alone… then study dumps. If you have the time and can study other materials… then study the other materials. To each his own! But, do not come to a site built around helping each other by sharing information and look down your noses at those doing nothing more than the same as you. I was extremely lucky at passing the ICDN2 prior to the new exams rolling out. Had I been off by a few days I too would be retesting.

Was just told by p4s to expect an update in 36 hours. hmph….

I passes ICND 2 today – 20th Jan 2011. Thanks to 9tut. I got VTP and frame relay sim from 9tut. Simulation configuration was completely changed (different question with different scenarios), be prepared guys, don’t waste you money, test is designed to TRICK you. Less time with stupid tricks Good luck and once again know your stuff before you go for the exam.

failed today. i did decent on everything but scored very low in wan links. i believe that this is because i did not ping the neighbors to verify connections. be VERY careful that you follow the directions very carefully and run all of the commands that fulfill the entire question. be sure to copy run start at the end of the sims.

p4s just added 230 questions to the original 270 questions…so there are 501 questions total. I THINK… I havent confirmed but only section E was changed…from 70 quest to 300

Passed ICND2 on 21st Jan ..with 950 !!!
Just to warn those guys who are relying on only these DUMPS ….
WARNING : You need to know the stuff cold to pass the exam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used Train signal video training modules , ICND2 practice tests at Cisco learning network site….and 9tut sims with lukash dumps and other older dumps and GNS2 simulator.

All Dumps are valid only up to 50-60% I would say and there are some new questions too.
And the questions from the dumps will have different IP addresses and names so you need to figure out stuff your self ..you cannot just go there cramming the material in dumps.

just like kk and Chris Bryant from Trainsignal said, you gotta know this stuff cold in order to pass the exam.

there were only a handful of questions from the dumps so be prepared for all new questions!!

I got VTP sim, subnett drag and drop, only one question on IPv6 redarding 6to4 tunnelling, shit my brain is mush so cant really remember what else, only 2/3 questions on STP, WAN links hotspot (answered one of the subquestions wrong and it dropped my summary % to 71 for implement and verify wan links- ahhh!!)

I hope cisco doesn’t reject my passing score cod I got a 71% in WAN links. i think it was a testlet with 4 questions and I got 1 wrong on it.

I used CBT nuggets, TrainSignal, Wendell odom ICND2 study guide.

questions like “which three benefits are of vlans” and its cousin “what are three advantages of vlans” are driving me insane…then all the same stuff with switches/hubs/bridges, with all answers looking kinda similar with subtle differences…

Missed it by 1 point!!!! I ran out of time… Oh, I noticed one thing that the VTP simulator was exactly the same except the default gateway which was X.x.x.x.30 and wanted the last possible ip address. Majority of the questions were on the dump. Let me go through and see what was there.

question on answer for question # 492? Refer to the exhibit. After HostA pings HostB, which entry will be in the ARP cache of HostA to support this transmission?…. many other sites give answer as D, p4s says B… I say A. when the ping reply comes back from the pinged hostB won’t the arp cash on HostA contain hostB’s IP address and the MAC address will be the interface of the “inside” interface closest to HOstA ?

oh wait, the arp cache is going to resolve the HOSTB’s IP address to it’s own mac address….answer B. p4s is correct? …I confused the mac stripping a router does to forward the packet to the next router which will strip the mac again and apply it’s own mac of it’s fowarding interface….ICND1 router question confused me there….

wrong again…I set up the identical network in packet tracer with Ripv2 and the arp cache on HOST A is the ip and mac address of Router 1’s Fa 0/0 interface !!! answer is D. p4s wrong. I’m wrong.

anyone want the packet tracer config file ? confirm my shenanigans? I can email it as attchmnt.

in other words.. a successful host to host ping will result in the arp cache containing the host router’s inside interface..mac and IP….

another wrongly answered question on p4s : refer to the exhibit (which shows the pin matchups for a straight through cable…not a crossover) the pass4sure answer is PC to a router…which needs to have 3 and 1 and 6 and 2 crossedover…

the correct answer should be pc to switch..as it is on 7techs
