passed today. lukkash tests e and b helped me greatly. know VTP, how stp works, how ospf works, nat, acl, bla bla bla. used CBT nuggets and Train Signal for WAN links. Lukkash pfs is the best.
Hey Guys, look at this question and tell me what you think. I think the answer is FTP, DNS, and POP3. HTTP is port 80… it was wrong in P4S and Test Kings, here it is:

Here is another question that I think is wrong:

They say the answer is A and D. But with this command I can’t see how you can even tell the DLCI, there is no display of it… it has an exhibit if you guys know which question I am talking about in the p4s tests..
@studynstuff .. because in the output it shows LMI=ANSI which uses DLCI 1023. CISCO LMI uses DLCI 0.

@testingthursday.. 10.10.0.0/13 is 5 bits equals .248 so networks are 0,8, etc. 10.10 falls under 10.8.0.0/13 valid IPs are 10.9.x.x thru 10.14.x.x. hope that helps.
so it was a typo ? in a couple study guides it only displays three octets not four; and I have not seen the question anywhere with 4 octets…

Okay, here is my feedback from ICND2.
Only studied Luukash and briefly glanced through the first 20 or 30 questions from the CW & GAP P4S on PDF. I still say the Luukash dump is helpful for about 70% or more of the multiple choice questions. Small details are changed though like the IP address ranges and whether or not to use the first or last available host address, plus some of the running-config details, etc etc.
The sims were all here. Had frame relay hotspot and VTP. Read the details of your particular sim though. READ THEM CAREFULLY. You have been warned…
Study up people. Go through alot of repetition on the current dumps so that you understand the underlying language of the exam and don’t let the little details that Cisco changes trick you. This test is a hard one, but it’s not too bad.

yep, name the ipv6 GRE, ISATAP, and Turdero tunneling and pick the correct IPv6 addresses out of 6 choices.
warning! the DLCI sims to pick DLCI 792 in p4s are wrong.
P4S changed the “choose two” answer for rstp multiple choice from defines no new port states and : It is a proprietary protocol to the current version which answers are : defines new port states and D or E…. (i forget right now)…but with as many wrong answers I’ve found from Pass4sure it’s more like FAIL4sure…. the right answers are here at 9tut though… 🙂

I received the VTP sim and hotspots with Frame-Relay. No wireless questions and only 2 IPv6 questions.

I passed with 865… 50% on NAT ACLs they hit me with a couple of static or dynamic nat questions…I had only studied overloading… so you may want to check in to that.

last thing: I would recommend pass4sure only after the 10+ wrongly answered questions have been identified by yourself…. (640-816 ICND2 current version)
on both ICND tests cisco had updated the questions and I barely recongnized any of the questions on p4s.
I’m not impressed with the attention to detail with p4s. rarely do they offer explanations and there are lots of mistakes when you look at the answers…especially when they’re showing images…it’s like the guys in charge of displaying the correct answers are drunk & high. verify your answers with 9tut, 7techs, Scribd… then it is a useful tool (p4s)

Hello Peeps, I passed my ICND2 today, 3rd time lucky with a 899 score, i scored 799 and 789 before, Many thanks to GAP & CW for the last post has helped me see what mistakes I was making with the Sims, that i put right. So coutesy of s.a ciscoguy (@CW Man thanks for your hardwork…you have earned my respect …)
To (Studynstuff &Yaknow) I went on a £3.7k course have 2 router/switches at home & loads of toys @ work, but these, will not help u understand the silly mistakes you make @ d exam
@Anonymous, iv looked at converting Gap and CW’s update but as there screen dumps it wouldnt be to easy, as I would have to write a majority of the question from stcratch rather than converting them. Due to work and my own studying it dont have the time, I see what i can do though.
@ Zerbo, Is the purpose of converting the doc, so that pple could do the test without seeing the answers, as I went thru da whole doc, wit a sheet covering the answers ;), good luck wit it anyway…ur hard work is appreciated
@Techie, the purpose of converting the pdf into a vce, is so you go through the each questions as you where sitting an atual exam.
@ All! Don’t bother trying to convert that document CW and I uploaded. I have just uploaded a vce file on http://rapidshare.com/files/446165456/Cisco.ActualTests.640-816.v2011-01-10.by.ADAdmin.502q.vce. I have gone through the questions while comparing with P4S, they are exactly the same. Meaning, it contains both old and new questions. This file also includes Luukash’s questions. I hope that this helps too.

Thanks to 9tut. I have passed ICND2 today with 892 score and one amazing thing, still 12 more minutes left for the exam. I was in hurry that I won’t be able to finish because for ICND1 time was not that sufficient.
I have prepared cisco press books (Wendel odom) , 9tut and p4sure.
I have the lab switch config(Jan 14th updated lab) , ospf

i passed ma icnd2 on 4th February, thanx 9tut!!!. going through the exam i was sure that i would get 1000, but got the marginal score of 825, guess i missed some instructions,but happy i passed. this is a very useful website to test your understanding just before the exam.vtp sim,ipv6 questions,dynamic nat with pat,hotspot-frame relay,know your subnetting among other things..

Hey I wanted to know why the answer was A. I don’t disagree, rather I don’t have an understanding of the loopback process in a Frame-Relay network. Here is the question:
When troubleshooting a Frame Relay connection, what is the first step when performing a loopback Test?
A. Set the encapsulation of the interface to HDLC
B. Place the CSU/DSU in local-loop mode
C. Enable local-loop mode on the DCE Frame Relay router.
D. Verify that the encapsulation is set to Frame Relay
Now I chose D, and the right answer is A. Why is that? And what are the steps in full to troubleshooting via a loopback test? Any help?
I just took my ICND 2 and failed with 811 score. I am looking at the Actual test dump version 15.6 which I wish I had gone over before the test and I had questions 1,2,3,4,5,6,7*,8, 9, 10*, 11*,12*, 13, 14,15, 16, 17*, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23,24,25, 26, 27*,28, 29, 30, 34,

ChicoLocoUnPoco…..u remembered all those questions from the icnd2 and after look at Actual test dump version 15.6 to see if those same questions match? ill be writing icnd2 at the end of this week
Sucks not to pass. But you can always take it again next week. Sometimes you just get a tougher test at random than other times.
yes, that dump is awesome, wish I had seen it before the test, i was amazed because upon seeing the first 40 questions of the dump I was seeing the actual exam almost, i havent even checked the rest of the actual test because all the test questions were in the first 40

I just cant understand question 7 fully. It shows a workstation connected to a switch which is connected to a router’s E0 port and the router’s E1 port is connected to a cloud.
The following configuration is shown:

Refer to the exhibit. Given the partial configuration shown in the exhibit, why do internal workstations on the 192.168.1.0 network fail to access the Internet?

B.The wrong interface is overloaded.
C. NAT has not been applied to the inside and outside interfaces.
D. The access list has not been applied to the porper interface to allow traffic out the internal network.
The correct answer is C and I can understand that but on the test I chose A becuase I thought a NAT pool had to be defined? Why is A not a correct answer, is it because an interface instead of ips are being overloaded? Is the ip nat (poolname) not required when overloading an interface in ip nat inside source list command?

i failed the icnd twice already, first time i got 5hundred something points, this time it was 811. It sucks to pay 125 each time for failing, they should offer half off discounts for retaking. I had 2,3 questions that were interactive (command line) questions. One was vtp configuration, then the other was frame relay mapping questions.

Hi all, I wrote ICND II yesterday in South africa, 40 questions, configure VTP, show commands in Frame Relay, ospf network asking about router ID,neighbor relation ship for R2 and R3 how do they keep it, what is used by ospf to load balance,drag and drop ACL(protocol,Address and mask), 2 switches connected with a straight-through and they have Ip addresses and the other one ends with .100,give the subnet mask and the correct cabling, 2 switches that need a router with a straight through cables,drag n drop split horizon,poison,hold-down,triggered events and Maximum,drag and drop OSPF VS Rip,RSTP roles,what does EIGRP use if there no feasible successor route,in Vlan , Vlans on one switch cannot communicate with same Vlans on another switch, what could be the problem,

@chicoLocoUnPoco the question in in the final exam in off the 15.6 vce file I posted on the other page. Sorry I can’t be more accurate as my vce program seems to randomise the quest in each exam.
@zerbo If you look at the 15.6 there are two questions with the same diagram. However both questions have different answers. One is related to a crossover and one is related to a straight-through. The assumption here is that the picture is a screw up and in reality this is a straight-through.
Further however if you see this on the exam, look at the answers in particular. Each one is a answer of a straight-through while one is a crossover. On the second question I found with the exact same table it was the inverse, there was one crossover and three straight-through. In both cases its a matter of knocking out the wrong answer and finding the answer through elimination.
If you did not know how to pin out a RJ-45 connector, then you could still get this write, based on your knowledge of a crossover and straight-through utilization.
I take my exam on Tuesday, I looked over the 500+ questions from 15.6 and got maybe 10 wrong total.

@ChicoLocoUnPoco: Re the NAT Question. A pool of IP addresses is not needed when using overload. Overload is one-to-many or port translation.
A pool is needed only when you want to define a certain amount of addresses to translate too.
This may be true, but read the question carefully. It says to use all the IP’s given by the ISP.

Since this is an extended access list, shouldn’t it be placed as close to the source as possible – in this case the Westfield router, which connects the gfx department?

@In2Weeks You will notice that the question asks to block telnet to ONLY that server. While yes it is an extended access list, if you put the ACL anywhere but the end router, at the outward port, then you would either block telnet to something else or it will not work at all.

Could someone please explain to me how configuring a loopback interface with the highest IP address on RouterA would help RouterB to become the DR?

@In2Weeks, It does not help them. That entire question was lazily typed out and is completely wrong. Here is the TestKing version, with the proper text:
A. Change the priority value of the Fa0/0 interface of RouterB to zero.
B. Configure the priority value of the Fa0/0 interface of RouterB to a higher value than any other
interface on the Ethernet network.
C. Change the priority values of the Fa0/0 interfaces of RouterA and RouterC to zero.
D. Configure a loop back interface on RouterB with an IP address higher than any IP address on
the other routers.
E. No further configuration is necessary.
As you can see the answers are completely different. But here are some pointers which you probably alread know when making a DR selection.
If a router has a physical interface of 172.16.2.1 and another physical interface of 192.168.2.1 then it will choose the higher of the two. HOWEVER, loopbacks are always considered higher, so if there was a loopback interface configured as 1.1.1.1 it would still win above these. Even higher still, if you set the router priority higher then that trumps even loopback addresses.
@In2Weeks, you are right about he ACL by the way. The tricky thing to remember is Cisco is trying to trip you up sometimes, because they are giving you one thing and asking you to block only one location. Kinda hard to do that with an “any” destination.
Gotta be careful. Same thing with that NAT problem just awhile back, they said to use all addresses, so you have to use Dynamic NAT Overload. Even though in real life you probably want to utilize those extra addresses for outside facing web servers or something.

Thanks for that upload GAP, I only have an unregistered version of VCE so I can’t see the entire exam, but the 5 questions I saw were exactly as what was on my exam just yesterday. Anyone know where I can get a full DL of VCE?

Am I right in thinking when it comes to STP, that all ports on a Root Bridge switch are Root ports? or are they all Desiganted ports?
All ports on a Root Switch are Designated ports. Root ports point to the Root Switch so the Root Switch can have no ports pointing at itself.
Passed the ICND2 with a 932
ten of the questions where different on there, but I got the same sims as was on here. That is VTP and I got the frame-relay one as well.
Know OSPF and EIGRP pretty well so that they don’t trip you up on the questions that aren’t in the dumps. They also asked me a question that wasn’t in the dumps about what device was connected to a fastethernet port of a switch. It showed mac-address-table and there were multiple mac-addresses for that port. I answered a switch was connected to it… pretty sure thats right as a switch doesn’t tear off the Layer 2 mac address I don’t think.
