I’m already had my MCSE, MCDBA. But 2000 track. I’m intrest in CISCO. MCITP and CCNA will be perfact.
FInished my ICND 2 test about an hour ago. I passed with a 905 which was actually a higher score for me than I did on the first ICND1 exam. To all who are researching and learning cisco from scratch.. believe in yourself. You can do this. Study and study more. I have had a stomach ache all day worrying about this, but I put tons of time into this and it paid off. Now on to what I can remember from the test. Had probably about 3 or 4 IPv6 questions similar to the ones in the latest VCE exams referenced on this site. Had 2 sims and they were the VTP sim and a frame-relay sim mentioned on the 9tut CCNA site. I cannot tell you guys at 9tut how thanksfull I am for this site. It has helped me tremedously learning to troubleshoot configs and to know it by heart.
Most of the questions were very similar to the latest VCE dump mentioned somewhere on this site.. I can’t remember where. Lastly, word of advice, with cisco training you have to understand these concepts and to implement them. The dumps are there to help you understand these and memorizing them should only be an afterthought of understanding what the correct answers are. Again to 9tut, thank you from bottom of my heart!!! I have been dreaming of becoming a CCNA for over 2 years now. You have helped me immensely in my cisco learning. Thank you for helping me make that dream come true. Now the fun part, finding a junior network engineer position to start doing these things that I’ve been studying for the last 3 months : )
Forgot to update but didn’t pass when I took last week. Same VTP and Frame-Relay. Had several ipv6 questions and some acl. Two of acl really caught me off guard. They each had an extended acl with www as the last part instead of http and then question asked what the effect this line added to the rest would have. Still not sure even now. Is www valid at the end of an ACL?
even you create access list with port number 80, IOS will save with www.
Are these questions or let me say cisco exams the same for all countries….or the one in us is different from Europe and so on
What I’m think is all the same for all countries. But when it’s selected by ramdom, combination of question apparence will be differ from one another.
non-english speaking country getting extended time for the exam, that’s all it differs. the questions, sims, everything is the same.
Thanks nagamin. That www was really throwing me for a loop. When I saw it on the first question I thought that was bad statement and then when I saw it again on another question I knew there was no way they would throw in a trick question twice so figured I was screwed on the first one.
I just want to thank everyone on or with this board. I took ICND2 last week and bombed with a 757. The troubleshooting section destroyed me even though I thought I had a decent grasp of the subjects. I found the hardest part to be just analyzing the questions, especially if they had topology maps associated with them. I spent more time trying to figure out the questions then answering them.
I found this site that same day, read all the ICND2 posts, downloaded and went through the latest .vce files and read up on my weak points. I passed today with a 867. Thanks 9tut community, there’s no way I way have passed if I never found this site.
great job Happytester..
Hello All
Can someone give me the LATEST VCE path where can i download?
I think hmeister vce is the best i have heard.
I am on the 03.05 the test.
Thank you and all good luck
Rev27 here…
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mndtgjugv9ndy27
yousef..don worry about microsoft π it is A LOT easier than cisco exam, trust me, i pass my MCITP(3 exam) in less than 2 wks, n i only study it(vce) for less than 2 days π i took 1 exam on mon n rest a few days n took the other 1 on fri within the same wk, n the next wk i rest a few days n took it on fri π pass with breeze ^^
For ICND2, pls take note of the acl, nat, vlsm(as i am weak in this π ) n ipv6. then study whole of 9tut ICND2 + hemister vce n u r going to be CCNA π gonna take it end of this month ^^
AllenWalker – Still going – I had to stop studying for a project – Soon back on the bubble…
Yes ACL, NAT, VLSM and Ip6 – Good topics to know!!!
Hello hmeister,
Thank you so much.
All the Best
pls is there anyone who can help with voucher for icnd2
@ Bailey are you selling one or trying to buy one.
I need one….
@ Jo jo I want to buy one……
You may have to buy one at the regular price of $125 from Vue. I couldn’t find any discounted vouchers for U.S.
@Jo Jo
Thanks
Pls is there anyone who can help with ICND2 VOUCHER
thanks all
back to ccna status BFD.
My two cents. Why memorize these questions. Capt Obvious says it gives you time to do the math on the subnetting questions and the Qs you have to take a wild ass guess @.
if you can’t subnet you can’t pass the test & out in the real world your worthless if you can’t.
Word to the wise sit down and write out the subnet table duh
Got these.
what’s a dynamic ACL?
what does no login mean on a vty line?
how do you allow only one access to a vty one of he answers was had a full access list 192.168.x.x 255.255.255.0 with an access-class but the question asked for 1
my answer vty 1 not vty 0 4
know your ipv6 they’re freebies.
Get the freebies so you have time to analyze what’s wrong with the answers that are given.
Big up to hmiester for his hard efforts and King tut for keepn it real.
btw the voucher will be out in 2 weeks so cram now and save some$$
@ AllenWalker : It’s amazing that just reading the VCEs and pass, but I ‘d like to learn and do my job when the boss wants me to do, I am going to finish the first book about MCITP 70-680 then I ‘ll see CBTNuggets and Professor Messer (http://www.professormesser.com/) then write read the VCEs and then write the exam, I ‘ll be proud of myself more when I know what I am doing. Thanks for your advise and Good Luck in CCNA, My journey is to get MCITP, A+, N+, Security+ then back to Cisco as CCNP.
Yousef, your boss isn’t going to expect you to do a job just because you passed a test. Just get it over with and get your foot in the door. Duh? It will take lots of on the job training and experience to be proficient. Get a clue, dude. Just pass the damn thing! You think they are going to give you the keys to their network when you walk in with your certificate? C’mon! You will never know what you are doing until you are in a real environment.
Yousef – You are going to use the VCE’s, but yet you say you are proud that you are learning it all on your own… How do you say hypocrite in your language??
eh guys..
just wanna check whether this vce “Cisco.ActualTests.640-816.v2011-03-15.by.hmeister.503q” is what u guys talking about ?
if not could u please tell me the link to download ?
Thanks!
and eh..as far as I noticed..i don’t see any ques regarding about VPN ? or am i missing out ?
Has anyone used the latest P4S (514q) and verify its valid?

Shouldn’t this be the opposite of the answer. It’s a RIP route and a static route. The static route would be first choice before a RIP route.
http://i56.tinypic.com/2625urp.jpg
On this one hmeister. Shouldn’t the answers be changed to match the DLCI number to make this right. As it is none of the answers are right.
http://i56.tinypic.com/29vxkc3.jpg
@Krypto-77
The reason the answer is correct for the first question is because of the administrative distance. If you look closely, you can see that it has been modified to “150”. Because of this, the RIP route is given preference. If the default ADs were used, then you would be correct.
The default ADs are:
– Static: 1
– EIGRP: 90
– OSPF: 110
– RIP:120
As for the second question, I agree. None of them are correct. I think it should be like this:
– frame-relay map ip 172.30.0.3 196 broadcast
Ah good catch emd. Didn’t even see the 150 at the end, just thought that was part of the IP.
Hi all! Can anyone who has taken the exam give me an idea of what kind of IPV6 questions they came across? I do expect something similar to the vce’s but can anyone describe anything else? I test on Tues and this is still sort of a pain point for me. Thanks in advance π
yousef..i went for the Instructor Led Classes for my MCITP π so more or less i know something n for microsoft, just use the most logic thinking to ans the question n u r safe not like cisco. i got the 2nd shot for microsoft, so at first i just wanna try using just the VCE only, even i were to fail, i still got 2nd shot to play with π but it really amaze me that i passed just by using the VCE!! All my score is above 800+ n i got 1 exam at 900+ π so u can imagine how easy it is to pass microsoft than cisco.
FYI, all my real life working experience with different job, my boss don bother how n what i do, as long the finally result is what he/she wants n HR also don bother whether u r up to that job, as long u got the cert. Welcome to the real world π
@emd
can you please explain why the serial is chosen over the bri0 interface? rip was enabled on both interfaces as far as i can tell so… it should load balance, right?
@10q9tut
because ip route … … … 150 <– 150 means AD, RIP AD is 120 so it will choose serial over bri0 interface. if the ip route does not include 150 in the end of the syntax, it will choose bri0.
If a subnet has a multiple route to it, route with lowest AD will be chosen.
Static route AD 1
EIGRP AD 90
OSPF 110
RIP 120
the way i see it there are 3 routes:
1) route to 172.16.18.2 (via BRI0), it has an AD of 150, understood that. it will be chosen if other link fails. this is the static route.
2) route to 172.16.18.2 (via BRI0), it has an AD of 120, this is the RIP route.
3) route to 172.16.16.2 (via serial), it has an AD of 120, this is the second RIP route.
am i wrong? please explain. thank you very much for your reply IOS_Image.
ISDN is from a ISP network.
RIP metric is hop..so it will choose serial, only 1 hop (lowest hop). ISDN, u would not know how many routers it would have to pass to get to Branch network.
Hope u understand
i mean hop count*
ok, got it now. wasnt thinking about the hop count, i was too focused on the administrative distance
Hello All…
There are mistakes and there is a disclaimer on the very first page stating so.
Also, it is fine to discuss these type questions here as you all know all VCE’s have some issues.
I built this off AAdmin VCE which had mistakes in it. If you find something and are sure it is incorrect – CHANGE IT – and republish… I am on Rev27 and have a lot more study to go. So, if you want to change what is there by all means do so. And as far as the Drag & Drop – CHANGE IT – the one’s I worked are all correct and there are others that need to be fixed. All the one’s I added work – if you choose the wrong order – YES YOU MAY GET AN INCORRECT – It is all setup logically…. and I did not jump around…
Good luck to all of you and thank you to all that critique questions and provide good answers…
Regards;
H.
Hello all, i saw a question asking the stands for MTU, and the answer says the minimum transmission unit, and i think that is Maximum transmission unit. Could you guys correct if is necessary? Any doubts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximum_transmission_unit.
Tks all and have a nice study !!!
Wasn’t trying to call you out by any means hmeister. I was just trying to help out and point out a mistake and at the same time make sure I was right just in case. Anyways, passed this morning with a 849. Not as good of a score as I wanted but a pass is a pass.
Thanks to all who have contributed to this site.
@ krypto -77
congrats….a pass is a pass, you are a certified personnel,,,,,how was it …
I started changing hmeister’s VCE file already. i do not take full credit, nor partial credit. it all goes to hmeister and the people before him. i will post it on a forum where i expect feedback before publishing it. cheers
In computer networking, the maximum transmission unit (MTU) of a communications protocol of a layer is the size (in bytes) of the largest protocol data unit that the layer can pass onwards. MTU parameters usually appear in association with a communications interface (NIC, serial port, etc.).
@krypto77
be proud and happy you slayed the dragon that guards the treasure. now take the booty.
what you talking about a pass is a pass. this test is a killer. if it were not so there wouldn’t be a 9tut
pls can anyone help with voucher….need to buy one thanks
I once called this CCNA track Mt Everest and I said the exam was like “having stared into the eyes of the Beast”…Well,I passed ICND2 today with a 902/1000!!! I am ELATED!!!
Got the VTP sim…very, very easy if you have a decent idea of how things work but especially so if you follow the guidance here. Also got the Frame Relay sim-another here that should prove fairly easy if you know it’s coming. π Hey, Hmeister and all of those who collaborated on the way up to REV27.VCE…THANK YOU! I highly advise everyone to go through those questions thoroughly-Very, very, VERY helpful no doubt!. Had quite a few easy questions from the ICND1 VCE’s-Fortunately, I remembered seeing them last run around. Know your WAN/Frame Relay stuff. I bombed a bit there with some that could have been easy. Oh yeah, again quite a few Subnetting questions. Know your Blocks!!! Count by 16, by 32…know what a /23 is…what a /27 is etc. etc. I mean, by now(ICND2), know it off the top of your head! It will save you time- in my case with both exams it helped me to Really fly through quite a few questions and lag/double check/take my sweet time with the more detailed stuff. I didn’t have to write a thing down. Nothing beats knowing it. I think I may be quoting Todd Lammle there but it’s definitely Gospel in my book. With the material overall, yes, kill yourself with the REPS, it will pay off!
Ok, here’s what I studied:Lammle CCNA 6th ed, Odom Cisco Press ICND2-(The Boson practice software will drill you into KNOWING this stuff-very tricky and I highly suggest it if you have the time), Jeremy’s Nuggets-3,4 x’s, Packet Tracer, Home Lab (3 switches, 4 routers) and again 9tut(COUNTLESS THANKS!) and the vce’s…Ok y’all, bye for now. I will be back again one day soon…I see some Cisco Security action in my future…and CCNP… π
any question which u took ur icnd 1 but appear in ccna website(9tut) here?
Can any one help me to give lates dumps to pass ICND2 exam
Congratz FORMERLY…. nice score!
Thanks for your information about the exam! Brilliant!
Passed ICND2 with 961
Thanks to all for your kind help.
special thanks to hmeister….
good luck to u all…..
@bailey
congrats
where did you find voucher.
Bailey What SIMS you had on the exam?
how many SIMS in total on the exam?
thanks guys
@ jojo didnt get any voucher had to pay regular price
@anonymous
2 sims vtp and ospf
Bailey, could you help me with the sim questions and other dumps to refer for the exam
Bailey, any question from 9tut ccna session?
Formely_The_CLI_Kid and Bailey – That is great news…
I am still going and have gotten sidetracked with a project that will / should end this weekend.
Then back on the bubble…
Thanks for the exam recap and 9tut is the place to be!
H.
@hmeister,
do let me know if u need assistance with the VCE..
@Allen, 84% of the quest were from hmeister VCE and 7% are still from hmeister VCE but reworded and 9 % are new … the new ones are quite easy like which device you will normally connect to a pc and two more in that range….
had 4 drag and drop all from here
@DE2008 SEND ME UR MAIL OR LINK TO POST THE MATERIAL
WHICH THREE IP ADDRESSES CAN BE ASSIGNED TO HOST IF SUBNET MASK IS /27 AND SUBNET ZERO IS USABLE?(CHOOSE THREE)
A) 10.15.32.17
B)17.15.66.128
C)66.55.128.1
D)135.1.64.34
E)129.33.192.192
F)192.168.5.63
Well I choose A and C and the others are not is range, so how can i choose three
the answers is A,C and D
why ?
foremost /27 means a block of 32…..
/25 /26 /27 /28 /29 /30 /31 /32
128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1
so the possible address that u can have are in the range of 32 increment
example 192.168.1.0
remember that the first ip is network address and the last is broadcast and you cant use them
192.168.1.0 ——– 31
192.168.1.32 ———–63
192.168.1. 64———–95
and so on with 32 increment
A falls between the first one as the question permits SUBNET ZERO
C falls under the ist subnet too and
D under the second subnet
OK, this sounds dumb. But I keep hearing everyone saying they got the Frame Relay Sim from here on their test. Which one is the Frame Relay Sim on this site???
Hi Bailey,
Thanks for the reply & showing the intrest. Please email me the materials at ed_la2011@rediffmail.com
Many Many thanks
I just passed the icnd2, 888. not as good as i would have liked but a win is a win. im done for now. on to security+ (2 weeks) and then back to ccnp studies, eventually.
id say 70-75% of the questions are valid.
3-4 questions on ipv6
one about the migration path (new, havent seen it before)
one about which ip is vaild (it was not the ips listed in the vce, it was not as obvious)
one about which way to tunnel ipv4 and ipv6
another nat question that is in the vce has changed, where there are 2 ethernet interfaces with nat inside, and a serial with nat outside. bascially the nat is valid and correct (unlike the vce questions i saw) so the answer was different.
i had the vtp configuration sim https://www.9tut.net/icnd2/icnd2-labsim/vtp-configuration-sim
and the frame relay hotspot http://www.9tut.com/ccna-hotspot-questions
mine was not an hdlc interface, had a username and password
3-4 drag and drop – most are here.
big thanks to hmeister, luukash and adadmin for the vce tests
also a big thanks to 9tut and all that have contributed to its community!
Just passes with 916, new drag and drops, vtp sim was in the exam , no ospf and eigrp configuration ..frame relay sim… new multiple choices, few subnets…
overall use the dumps as exercise and training but you should definitely know your stuff…i went through at least 6-7 different dumps and practice all questions and they were still new ones (about 30%)
Took ICND2 today. as nonentity stated, I also got vtp configuration sim and frame relay hotspot question. a couple of ipv6 questions. one about which addresses were valid (chose 4 out of 6) and one about how anycast behaves (select best 3) and one that can be found in vce (cant remember exact wording but answer was multicast replaced broadcast)
lots of questions that I haven’t seen in any dumps yet but i was working off of ccna and not icnd2 dumps…
Steven the frame relay questions are under the CCNA hotspot

So took the ICND2 yesterday and have been reviewing hmeister’s dump. not a knock on him at all but is it just me or is that dump way out of date? less than 20% of those questions were on the exam.
ICND2 what are some of the questions you had on the test?
ICND2some of the questions in your previous message on the 29 of April. I do have a VCE but with 502 questions and it think you need to review it. the questions you mention were in there. Its the dump that HMEISTER uses i think. go to examcollection and get it from there. good luck
I took the ICND2 today pass with 915. I got the sim VTP, Frame Relay, OSPF. I got 30 percent new question. Ospf Question how many unequal path can you have the answer were unlimited, 4,16,24.Also about services encryption command but only one telnet port to be use. They were couples more but do not recall. Make sure you study and learn the concept. Going for the CCNP.
ICND2 again in Ramon comment all those questions i run across in the VCE.
So, the Frame Relay questions refer to the exhibit with all the VLANs?
@icnd2 do you really expect for the dumps to have the exact same questions as the exam. do you really want to have a worthless certification, do you really expect 9tut to give you all the right answers for free. i am glad that cisco has not made this easy because this weeds out all the unqualified people who would otherwise corrupt the field. i am staking my life, career, and future on this and i am using 9tut for what it really is… a study aid. so start studying and learn the concepts. the dumps are only valid to give you exam comparison they are not the actual exam.
@Ramon, which OSPF sim?
hello guys., has someone took the exam recently?? im intend to test this week… is this dump still valid? Tks all !
took ICND2 and passed on the 28th of April with an 874. this site is wonderful especially on the sims. i had a frame relay hotspot and vtp sims. also the actual tests + pass4sure dumps are handy as i got almost all questions came from here
guys i intend taking a Comptia A+ certification. i am just wondering if there is an equivalent site like 9tut for dumps. please help, thanx in advance!!!
@dlonko – don’t waste your time A+ isn’t worth anything
Hi im intend to test this week, has someone fresh experience? Is this dump still vaild?
Tks.
hi guys,
Pls does anyone know where I can download ccnp route book for free or the cbt nugget videos ..thanks
@bailey
the guys here should be able to help you.
http://www.digitaltut.com/share-your-route-experience
WHATS THE CODE TO GET INTO EXAM COLLECTION?
@Bailey
IΒ΄ve dowloaded here: http://www.kickasstorrents.com/cbt-nuggets-cisco-ccnp-route-642-902-t4396096.html
=]
I don’t mind saying it chaps, this is a tough exam. Used v27 file and 9tut. cbt nuggets and cisco press book and PT 5.3
70-80% valid at the most, didn’t commit the dumps to memory as Cisco are wise to that and will tweak stuff.
My vtp sim came up the last question, it had a tweak to it not on the 9tut sim. watch out for that also had the FR sim. finished with only minutes left on the clock, cos I cocked up and had to undo the crapness i had installed on my sim
Good luck all.
CCNA feels good cos you have to earn it, back to crappy product based MS stuff now.
Sat the exam on Friday 4/29 and passed. I used the rev. 27 vce and the Cisco Press Exam Prep guide to look up things I didn’t understand. Fair amount of the vce was spot on, probably 70-75%.
FYI, know the frame-relay and VTP sims like the back of your hand and don’t forget to ‘copy run start’
Good luck to all future ICND2 takers and thanks/praise to 9tut!
Hey Pls can you explain these terms Feasible Distance, Reported Distance, and Feasible Successor. Where I’m not understanding is the actual metrics associated with those terms.. “A feasible successor is a path whose reported distance is less than the feasible distance (current best path)” I don’t understand that. I thought the feasible distance is the total cost between the router you’re on and the end network. Then it says that the reported distance is “the total metric along a path to a destination network as advertised by an upstream neighbor” so that is the distance from the router behind you ( so to speak ) ? so that path is longer ? … But if they say feasible successor is chosing when a reported cost is less than the feasible cost ? why isn’t that the primary path already ? … I know im missing something here pls help ^_^ thank you

@Raphael
I could not get through, still asking me to register and I guess one needs to pay…thanks
@Raphael
thanks a lot …I am getting through
pls let me know if you have any link to download the videos for tshoot and switch
i do appreciate
thanks
Sat the exam 03/05. Failed with a 765. Exam was tough. Only 1 vtp sim. Lots of troubleshooting type questions lots of stuff around ospf and eigrp…know your access lists like the back of your hand…for some reason they gave a 4 part question (as my second last question and I had only 3 mins left on the clock)…I’ve seen it on hmeisters dump…its the one that has frame relay question from Dubai/London to many different places. I think i bombed that part
@Bailey
Same site for those too… I got it from there as well…, im intending to test ICND2 this week any tip? I must pass !!!!
Tks.
I’ve been struggling somewhat with deciphering the EIGRP Topology table. Could someone explain why the answer to this question is C?
The question is.
Based on the topology table that is shown in the exhibit and assuming that variance is not configured for EIGRP, which route or routes should appear in the routing table?
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/8/eigrp.jpg/
My Question is: Why won’t the router add the first route to the routing table also? Why is will it only add Option C?
im taking this test on may 5th… I don’t care what people say; this test (ICND2) is on a different level from the ICND1 which is a joke in my opinion.
I’ll update how I do after I take the test, i’m confident that I know my shit, I’ve done the CBTnuggets, Wendell Odom, Hmeister Rev.27, I understand Frame-relay, access-list, VTP-sim, eigrp, and OSPF sims like the back of my hand; I am feeling pretty confident to be frank; I’ll have to see if this confidence will leverage over to the actual exam environment.
max, why do you want to scare people? i have recently taken both tests. it is common knowledge and my experience backed it up that icnd1 is the much tougher of the two. you haven’t even taken the test yet. so why would you even make such a dumb statement??
