@matt Ferg: For CCNP, you should start with ROUTE (http://digitaltut.com), next SWITCH (http://certprepare.com) and TSHOOT (http://networktut.com)

I plan memorise dumps so pass my exam. After I apply for a job. I’m worried I will not know what I’m doing. Does anyone have all the new dump for job Interview questions and dump for every issue I come across working on Cisco gear. email please to imacheatingbarstarrd@nihoa.com

I’m sorry, I regret putting the last post up now – it was all in good humour. Dumps are definitely a necessary evil especially with this exam. You don’t want to be surprised with some of the wording that you come across in some of the questions in this exam, especially if you are behind in time. The dumps help immensely – I am to sit the exam this week and will be back with an update.

this site is meant to help you get familiar with types of questions, but it is your duty to study and get prepared for any question that may be thrown at you on the exam

xallas, what is the best material available to prepare myself for CCNP.. I don’t want to just pass the exam obv. I want to understand the material for job interviews/projects

    October 18th, 2011

@matt Ferg: Yes, you should practice through books, too. It is very important to understand all the concepts before taking the exam. For a list of recommended books, you can visit http://www.9tut.com/ccna-faqs-a-tips

    I didnt pas
    802/825
but Im gonna tell you what it comes…
    VTP SIM
and FRAME RELAY SIM on ICND1 Actual Test pg 160-167 but it has wrong answers
it ask you for defualt Cisco Encapsultion and its HDLC so you have to do a show ip interfaces to see it.
There is a question of a drawback implemeting Link-State routing.
IPV6 Transitions options: ISATAP Tunnerling or GRE Tunneling, VPN Tunneling, PPP Tunneling
There is a Drag and Drop of security featueres like Acces-Groups, Service Encription kinda weird.
Difference in Static Nat and Dynamic Nat
I will re-take it next week.

I passed 916 with passing score of 825. Was surprised it was only a 75 minute test vs. 90. Was much harder than I thought. Definitely could not have passed using just 9tut and VCEs, although they definitely helped a lot. I can’t remember the specifics, but I know that there is an OSPF drag-n-drop that I’d never heard of, and it was more advanced than I thought the CCNA went. I read the book, read through all of the 9tut tutorials, which were helpful, and used xallax’s VCEs, and still thought the test was tough but not impossible. Thanks 9tut and xallax!

Any specific category of questions that were extra hard?

  28. PraiseGodFor944!
    October 31st, 2011

Passed today with 944!!!Thank God! Woooooo-hooo CCNA! It seems as though the test has changed from the dumps that are out there as there was only a FEW questions from those. I had the VTP lab and the Frame Relay (Barcelona, Spain) simlet, about 3 drag and drops including security drag and drop….everything else was questions. Alot of new questions, with tricky wording so be very careful how you read the questions AND the answers….some answers were only different by ONE WORD! 75 minutes….43 questions….DEFINITELY HAVE TO KNOW THE THEORY! Quite a few spanning-tree questions….why is a switch not a root switch based on the show spanning-tree output, why is a switch INTERFACE not a root switch (has it as Alternate) also based on show spanning-tree output…..Good Luck guys!!!

Hi all, I passed the ICND2 today! I Finally have my CCNA.

Know the material as there is a lot of new questions on the tests.

CBT Nuggets, Xallax, and 9tut, keep on doing what you are doing!! Without those resources I would have failed for sure.

Hello All, I passed the ICND2 today. Xallax, thanks for the material that you
have provided. I would mentioned I saw VTC Sim, OSPF Sim and frame relay specimen in 9tut. I noticed many IPv6 questions such as the variety of EIGRP, OSPF and others. Watch the videos, know the material and watch your time taking the test. Now onto CCNA Security and CCNA Voice and others.

Hi thanks for all you guys who contribute a good source for ICND1+2…I just pass both of them with over 950 points during the last 4 months…Full credit to the 9tut.

What i got ICND2 sim from yesterday was about VTP+OSPF+ACL. Other new questions like IPv6,ACL,Frame-relay and Switching.

News guys, you need to understand materiel and basic troubleshooting. I got confuse some tricky questions ( English is my second language) and nervous when the time almost ran out. Be well prepare and ready before schedule the test. ^o^

Thanks Xallax for your VCE it has been very helpful. Concerning question A9:

“Which command reveals the last methid used to powercycle a router?”

    You have for answers:

    “Show Hardware” and “Show version”

I have not been able to find show harware on any Router or switch I’ve tried. Is this an incorrect answer?

    November 15th, 2011

The question was confusing today. It says For the switch host address, you should use the first available IP address on the management subnet. And the management ip was 192.168.127.130 255.255.255.224 and the default gateway address was 192.168.127.129 How can we use the first available IP address in this question. Is the question right?

  50. Jeff
    November 15th, 2011

129 and 130 is used so the first available is 131. This one got me too.

  51. assbc

@Jeff Thanks for your quick response that question make me almost fail the exam.Cisco should remember not everyone is English speaking

  52. Alk
    November 16th, 2011

Failed ICND2 this morning. 762/825. Bleh… Had EIGRP and VTP sims, easy enough.. ACLs and NAT did me in.

  53. Nico Rosberg
    November 16th, 2011

    Alk,

On ACLs and NAT were they questions you hadn’t seen before? Were they SIMS or Drag and drops?

  54. Alk
    November 16th, 2011

ACL and NAT were both check 2/3 of the 5/6 boxes.

I had a frame relay SIM and drag and drop, completely destroyed me. I know frame relay but I don’t know everything about it, the acronyms and inner workings of it. That hurt me.

Had not seen any of them before, but after looking for them on here, the frame relay drag and drop IS here on 9tut. I only wish I had seen it beforehand. – That is the only one though.

Going to try again in a few weeks.

  55. Gallant555
    November 16th, 2011

    @assbc
The First Switch Given’s ip is 192.168.127.130/27
    Subnet address is 192.168.127.128

    First Available Ip is 192.168.127.129
    Last Available Ip is 192.168.127.158

Broadcast address for this subnet is 192.168.127.160

Since First Available Ip is assigned to Gateway Already. It is not available any more as in use already.
So the first available ip in this range would be 192.168.127.130

The Term they use sometimes is First or Last “Usable” ip address on management Subnet.

Guess what I got tricked once!
    Cheers!

  56. Gallant555
    November 16th, 2011

    @assbc
Correction Broadcast address for this subnet is 192.168.127.159 and not 192.168.127.160

  57. Gallant555
    November 16th, 2011

    @ rasman

You will still have to pay the 125 bucks for retaking. And I think it’s 7 days. 818 is pretty close. Just focus on the topic you scored the lowest and answer all practice questions on the books you are using. The Cisco learning network exams will also help a little.

  71. rasman
    November 23rd, 2011

    @jeff

thanks jeff, i have just booked for 29 november i will certainly redo the practice questions from 9tut and other places, for those considering to take the exam watch out for vtp sim on configuring the ip address for the vlan jus make sure you type ‘interface vlan1’ instead of a space in between because it did the same for and i panicked and wasted a lot of time on that….and do not look at the time too much coz i did the same and rushed through some questions only to be left with 10min extra at the end…otherwise all the info and questions on this site are very very valid coz i so 50 – 65 % of them on my exam….good luck to all future ccna’s and thanks for the good work 9tut…

    Mr. Xallax,
I am being repeatedly defeated by a hotspot sim. I am being asked for the default gateway on a vlan. I can do a show vlan, but the table of gateways I see on practice exams does not appear on my test. As I am logged into a switch, how can I get these gateways for the vlans?

    Does not appear on exam
the default gateway of any host in VLAN 1 is 192.168.1.254
the default gateway of any host in VLAN 22 is 192.168.22.254
the default gateway of any host in VLAN 33 is 192.168.33.254
the default gateway of any host in VLAN 44 is 192.168.44.54

    Please help, thanks.

    Mr Xallax,
Thank you. My dilema is that the table shown on the exhibit that shows the gateway list isn’t on my test. Is there another way of obtaining this info? CISCO has made enough off of my test fee’s!
    Thanks

What address should be configured as the default-gateway for the host connected to interface fa 0/4 of SW-Ac3?

    Answer: 192.168.44.254

    Explanation:

First we have to identify which VLAN interface Fa0/4 belongs to by the show vlan command

    ccna_vtp_sim_answer_4_show_vlan

THE FOLLOWING EXHIBIT DOES NOT APPEAR ON TEST………………………………………………….

From the exhibit we know that VLAN 44 is configured on router using sub-interface Fa0/0.44 with IP address 192.168.44.254/24
