how2pass mostly, and 9tut. I don’t understand why I am missing that table of gateways, is it minimized or otherwise hidden? Is that info available through a show command? It’s driving me nuts!
@qualitytym
there’s no command available to display that info.
all you have is the exhibit provided
930 – Passed —- This reminds me of Calculus 1, not terribly difficult, just a lot of material to remember to pass the test. If you are new to the game focus on answering 9tut questions without looking at the answers and do the sims.
Hi people passed today with 944, thank you all for the words of encouragement in my moments of despair, i got a vtp sim, eigrp and ospf simlets/testlets, some nat qns and acl etc etc…i read the 9tut tutorials and did their qns + sims as part of my revision…great stuff 9tut
the test questions are very different from the dumps out there. maybe only 8 questions word for word questions. got vtp sim, dubai frame relay simlet (see ccna hotspot), and atleast 4 questions on ipv6. know ipv6 shorthand and valid addresses. understand why and how each switches picks its designated and root ports. got the drag and drop questions from 9tut as well. there is hardly any subnetting involved.
bottom line: go through the ccna questions on here as well not just icnd 2 and understand the underlying concepts!!!!!
took my icnd 2 today , i do not know alot of here on the site , but I pass with 916 today to requal on CCNA becuase it was about to expire here shorly, here is what i had VTP(easy one) , OSPF Simlet, Frame relay Sim that is here on 9 tut , as well what user mike said there are barely any subnetting questions , new IP version 4 stuff, some VPN questions, seems as thought even though it is the ICND 2 there some ICND1 Stuff, but also had question that i think was very new where they gave you a mac address table layout and asked you what device was connected to port Fa 024 and than choices were between the device , router , switch, host , hub Etc, Just want to say thanks to 9tut and to all you guys and gals that put there information on here becuase , i used this site both times formy CCNA and my requal and everything has been great.
also another thign to note i must i have been flyihn on the test , i was reading and double checking stuff and when i clicked on the last question and it was over i still had 30 minutes to spare crazy i know….
@mtman00
Congrats 🙂
i failed my icnd2 today…the passing score is 825 and i got 818…i nearly passed the exam…it really makes me feel bad…most of the questions are about frame-relay…well, i didn’t know much about it…n i think most my marks was deducted in these questions…i will reseat for icnd2 exam within next week and i’ll do my very best to pass…wish me luck guys!!
@baby
You will pass next time next. I passed today, with a score of 902 but don’t feel bad. The frame-relay question that I had was the same as the one on this site, except that there were different layer two addresses. So therefore, learn the concepts of Frame-Relay,practice the frame-relay questions. Also, ensure that you are comfortable with ACL’s.., as that was one area that I missed a few questions in. The exam was pretty tough and they only give you 75 minutes! At the end of my exam, I only had 8 minutes to spare.
Also, the exam was heavy on STP, VTP, VLAN and subnetting……which surprised me but I did well in that area. With that said, just focus on your weak areas and you will nail it next time
practice questions:

@baby ,thanks , anonymous… baby , trying to help you out, i have another comment on the 1st of this month, about passing, did yo get the frame relay sim let , if so look at the sim here on 9tut it is exactly the same … also VTP Sim here on 9tut, easy one , this is the one were you create VTP domain and configure the Management IP, also OSPF sim here on 9tut as well. there is a good 2 CD CBT nugget video from Jeremy Cioara , very good there is 2 CD’s one for the ICND 1 and 2, very good , the ICND has has the WAN informational you need for Frame Relay if you go over this , you should good He(Jeremy) Explained information very well and you see this information on the test. Let me know if you need anything else. Also xallax VCE File very good.
Hi Folks, I’m sitting the ICND2 in the next few days. Any tips or advise welcome.
@ sandman
Relax a day or two before the exam. If you have decided to take it, it means you are ready.
Just took the test this morning, score 944. I had the Frame Relay and VTP sim. The Frame Relay sim, I could not use the show running-config command, so I used the show interface s0/1, s1/1, etc. The show frame-relay map command worked. The vtp sim was the one with the vlan1 in it, both sims like the ones here. My test was 75 minutes with some questions on ACL, vtp, vlan, subnet, and frame relay.
Thanks for that guys. Really sick of revising cant wait until this is all over. Only couple of days to go, will let you guys and gals know how I got on.
I forgot to tell you on the Frame Relay sim second question they ask the map question. The ip address has a typo in it. They ask about ip 172.30.4.4 and in the show frame-relay map, the ip address is 172.30.0.4. The first question they use a different DLCI number compared to the one in the pratice sim. I used the show ip interface S0/1, S1/1, etc. I had one router on a stick question, the question asks you what additional commands need to be added and I selected none.
@ Haorld, which Frame Relay sim are you referring to?
to all teachies! as per Harold, he was not able to use “sh run” on the frame relay sim, does anybody used “show tech-support” instead?
Go to the CCNA 640-802 page and click on the Hotspot tab. The Frame-Relay is the second one and is exactly like the one on the test.
@Harold Did you use any VCE to practice on? Any VCE to recommend to us? Thx
No, I took a two week course at a Tech College and got the Cisco ICND1 & ICND2 books. I also got the 500 question practice test for the 802, 816, and 822 test in PDF form. I can email them to you if you want them.
re; VTP configuration SIM
When configuring VLAN’s and assigning their ip address do we have to also do the ‘no shutdown’ command. on the ‘VTP configuration sim’ switch 1 which was already configured had not had the ‘no shutdown’ cammand under its VLAN1 interface. But in the explanation above it clearly states it.
Harold could u pls help me out with those questions 816, 802??? thanks in advance. my email is creation_5000@yahoo.co.uk
I know this is a Cisco forum but once I get my CCNA I would like to get some certifications in Microsoft before going into my CCNP I have absolutely no Microsoft certifications does anyone one what exams are good to start with.
@Harold
please email also to me the 500 question practice test for the 816 & 822 test in PDF form to nikie.vill@yahoo.com
THANKS in Advance!
@ harold
plese send me the ICnd 2 exam on following email address.

taking the ICND 2 today at 2:45 PM CST
Passed the ICND2 today with 951
Thank you 9tut for the work.
I learned also http://www.examcollection.com/cisco/Cisco.Pass4sure.640-816.v2011-10-17.by.crushboy18.155q.vce.file.html and
http://www.examcollection.com/cisco/Cisco.Prepking.640-816.v2011-11-22.by.Rikoj.506q.vce.file.html
Just passed the ICND2 with a 902.
Had VTP config sim, Frame Relay map sim, EIGRP/OSPF drag and drop.
Not a lot of subnetting. Had 1-2 IPv6 questions.
Know your access lists and protocols.
Hi, how many questions are there in ICND2 (640-816) and how much time to finish the test? What the passing score?
I’m going to sit next week!
Thanks
Xallax, love the VCE I bought off you. They truly tested what I learnt. I tought I had nailed the course but as I went through them I got caught. Helps a lot.
@izz
glad you are satisfied with it 🙂
thank you!
Passed with 888 thanks to this site, I was doing really well ended up having to rush the questions at the end. Had to answer 10 questions in the last 20 mins
@Harold I also found an issue with the framerelay question, They ask about ip 172.30.4.4 and in the show frame-relay map, the ip address is 172.30.0.4. The first question they use a different DLCI number compared to the one in the pratice sim.
VTP Sim not sure if I read the question properly but I wasn’t asked which ip I should assign int vlan 1 to so used one that wasn’t used by other sw and dg. subnet /27
3 questions on IPv6:
a. Identify link local address (pick 2)
b. Pick out valid address (pick 4)
c. IPv6 encapsulated in IPv4 (tunneling)
Debug output of Rip (version 1) – which ip gets added to routing table
RIP drag drop question (holdtimer etc etc)
How would you go about verifiying accesslists
a) debug b) sh int xx c) sh accesslist xx d) sh accesslist port XXX
access list drag and drop (Ans: ip, server ip, 0.0.0.0)
Just passed. Got an 874. How2pass helped a lot. Highly recommend them.
Forgot to mention I finished with 19 minutes remaining.
failed again but getting close to 800. at least a dozen of similar or exact questions are from 9tut.net. wordings are bit tricky. should not memorize the questions, exp. access list/frame-relay questions. happy holiday everyone!
Passed my ICND2 exam with 916, veeeeeeeeeeeeery happy, this site has been very helpful. Thanks guys.
Congrat guys. Why don’t you folks give something back to the site. Its annoying when people say I passed thanks and dont give anything back. Kinda looks a bit selfish.
@Mr Cisco I agree lol they come take then run away. SHARE PEOPLE!
Run away and never here from them again. Until they start the CCNP.
Before the exam: Please email me the latest dumps to my inbox.
After: I passed with XX have a nice day. LMAO.
Thank you red5566. I appreciate your assistance……
i’m taking my ICND2 exam very soon, i’d appreciate it if you could email me latest dump and practice exams to this email:
raykhal@yahoo.com
Thanks
Taking the test tomorrow. I hope that all the information I’ve read from here, the CBTNuggets videos, the Cisco Press books, and the VCE’s from xallax will help me pass. They did help me a lot when passed ICND1 10 months ago.
I will update you all tomorrow after the test, wish me luck!! lol
An Good post with lots of food for thought.
Xallax stuff will help you loads.. just make sure you know the concept behind each question on the VCEs
Taking my ICND2 in a couple of hours. I have read Cisco Press, Fast Pass, and did Exam Cram practice questions. I have also done CBT nuggets, and these dumps and Xallax’s dumps. I was passing Xallax’s dumps the other day. I hope I am ready, I have missed it two other times previously by approximately 40 pts. I am the worst test taker, even though I know the material. Wish me luck…
Passed 972/1000…
Say this site is 60% valid. Took test 3 times, third time a charm. Know your concepts, there are new questions.
@anony … from what area are the new questions ? … what kind of SIMs, Testlets, Drag & Drop or Simlets did you have ? Pls. give us some real meat (food for thought) and clues. Thank you in advance.
anyone kind enough send me the lastest brain dump? i’m going to take my 3rd ICND Friday. please share the lastest dump with me. my email address is ccnawannabe@yahoo.com thanks in advance.
Neil.
BND hope you made it. how was the test? any practice exam to share?
ArpRarp-
I went through the whole INCD2 part of the site and maybe 5-7 questions were on my test. They also draw questions from the combined test. So go to the 9tut 802 site as well. I would say about 20 of my questions were on this site. And its a 43 question test. I found 7-8 questions that were on my test, and I never seen them on this site till today. I also had 3 sims and 2 drag and drops. My SIMS and drag and drops were on 9tut. But that leaves 17 questions were I needed to know concepts. So I am preaching it, know your concepts. Just dont memorize answers on this site, you need to understand why the answer is right.
I am not going to say which specific questions, just know your concepts. I was passing Xallax’s dumps on the first try after self studying the material. I got a 915 on one and a 875 on the other. So xallax’s test are a great resource to gauge if your ready to take the test. Also Exam Cram is a good resource, if you pass the majority of those questions you are in great shape. Cisco press is also a great resource.
Well, I failed it, and what really piss me off is the score (820).
I got VTP, OSPF and Frame-relay (both) simlets. A loooooooot of new questions!! If you are just studying the dumps, then don’t waste your money taking the test, you have to know the concepts. I think I got at least those points because I know the concepts, not 100% but close.
Also got like 4 questions about IPv6. Back to study to retake it in a month, I am not gonna waste money again!
Could someone give me a hand with question F13 of the Xallax VCE it is the question where you have to
Drag each destination IP address on the left to its correct next hop address at the bottom
I don’t understand how to answer a question like this
Hi all,
is there anybody (who mayne already sat for the test) that could kindly help me with some easy figures for the test?
1) how many questions are there in ICND2 (640-816)??? 40-50? Or more than that?
2) how much time to finish the test? 75 min or 90?
3) what the passing score? 825 or what???
thanks you in advance
@Snooy
check your routing table, start from the more specific addresses from the pool on the left, I mean addresses with more subnet bits used and try to find a match on the routing table. When U find the most specific match, check the next hop and put the source address in this next hop pool, to the bottom.
Hope I did not confuse U more, it’s hard to explain in writings a visual thing
@Lu
There are 43 questions including your 3 SIMS. And you have 70 minutes to complete it. And the passing score is 825, the score range is 300-1000
@Lu
Thanks I think I got it now
Passed with and 888 toady. Thanks 9tut! Had the VTP sim and frame relay hotspot. It had been changed so that you had to type the show commands to get the information. 3 or 4 questions on ipv6. Finished with 40min left! 🙂
@snooy
hi
you have to look at each static route entry and figure out where a packet with a destination of X goes
take for example 10.1.1.10
this matches the third rule. the packet will be sent to a network that has 10 in the first byte, 1 in the second byte and anything other than 0 in the 3rd byte.
10.6.8.4 will go to towards 192.168.1.1
it matches the first byte on 2nd and 3rd routes, but it doesnt match any other bytes. this packet will be directed towards the default route
@ Snooy
thanks!!!! 🙂
@anony
ooops! I mean, thanks to anony for the info!!! 🙂
Hey sadman !
You passed or failed ?
Tired of failing ICND2. More time should be allowed. Not a hard test but it takes time to do the required tasks. Memorizing dumps wont help you much on this one
I just passed ICND 2 today. Man it was really tough. I was hoping simulations in the beginning but I got one only after 20-30 questions and I spent too much time on those initial questions. I thought I would not pass and then I had only 15-20 minutes for all the simulations !
I managed to pass with 944 score !
I got that sim regarding configuring the ip address/ default gateway/ vtp domain and vtp mode of the new switch to make it same as the other one.
Lots of vlan questions. Dont even remember any question on EIGRP.
I remember there was one question that shows the output of show mac address table and asked what device(pictures as options) should be connected to port. There were multiple mac addresses mapped to that interface and so I choose the switch picture.
there were 2-3 drag and drops.
All in all, it was really tough…..lots of new questions. But still you got to go through the dumps here. Gives you a general idea about questions.
I spent way too much time on inital questions as well which is why i failed. You really have to speed through the begining so you have time at end to answer Sims. I had Frame Relay sim, Vtp sim. and ACL Sim. Spent to much time on frame relay. I had no time to work through VTP or ACL. Learn how to use show frame-relay map command for sims. Congrats Jollyman
2nd try failed with 818. The wording on these exams is getting out of hand. They use the most complex way to tell you the simplest things, I mean really…
dThere were a few drag n drops from this website. the sims were the framerelay and vtp from this website, a questions on VLSM, lots of questions on root switches/bids/priorites, yes lots of routing between vlan questions etc etc.
really gutted i missed the mark.
hey mates just pass my icnd 2 yesterday….there was 3 new question where by the 1st was D&D for access list.
2nd was on nat, where by the question was (example) router z connected to isp router & there is 2 sw connected to router z via interface & 1 sw connected via sub-interface to router z. question was how many nat inside should we configure on router z (10, 3, 1, 4).
3rd was swc fa0/3 connected to swd fa0/3 (each sw hav assign to host connected via vlan (10, 20, 50), tech hav config port fao/3 on swc to vlan 1 & access hav been applied on the port. the question was something like will the host on both sw will able to communicate with each other…..
all the best mates.

@ Tj
Well done Tj. what if any dumps did you use and how accurate where they
Snooy: i used cbt nuggets,Cisco.Prepking.640-816.v2011-11-22.by.Rikoj.506q.vce and all 9 tut questions for ICND2. Its more than enuff.
I also passed ICND 2 after months of studying. Yes the questions on the site did help. But it also paid to learn the concepts routing, switching etc. Also spend extra time on vlsm, acl and nat. I got some tricky ones wish it had practiced these a little more but in the end I passed thanks 9tut.com
Also this youtube channel is good. For the last couple of days I watched these videos. It help summarize and explain what you needed to know for the exam.
http://www.youtube.com/user/internetzninja
Passed ICND2 today. VTP and Frame Relay Sims, had mostly VLAN, VTP and STP questions, some subnetting and 2 questions on IPv6. Hardly anything on OSPF and EIGRP or Nat
Thanks 9tut
Passed the ICND2 exam today, managed to get a score of 902 with 36min left.
Very little EIGRP/OSPF with more on the Frame Relay, VTP/STP/VLAN, ACLs, IPV6 and a few Drag and Drops.
9Tut comes highly recommended!
Congrats Splash, unfortunately I failed with 762 today. I read the ICND2 book, which I recommend for understanding principles. But it actually helped very little with the test. The Network Sim and Lab Sim from other resources were near useless. I found 9tut and examcollection about a week ago. Two weeks earlier and I’m sure I would have passed.
The VTP and Frame Relay (under hotspot) from 9tut were both on the exam. I did well on those, I think. I was able to use sh run, but according to Harlod above, be prepared to find encap on the specific interface.
Cisco does a horrible job telling you what the area you did poor on was in the after test report. Anyway, I did have OSPF questions, at least four. And At least four IPv6. Several drag and drops, none of which was on 9tut. Several NAT and Several ACls.
I think, about 20% of what I was able to review from .vce was on the exam, maybe a little more but with the question twisted considerably.
Any advice on bet .vce for retake?

@Harold could you please help me and send me those PDF questions for 816, 802? thanks in advance. my email is bjb302@ymail.com
Hi All,
It’s probably not the best place to ask but I recently passed my ICND1 exam and I’m finding it hard to get motivated and interested to study for my ICND2 exam.
Any ideas on how to overcome this?
I was so focussed for my CCENT Learning and now when I look at my ICND 2 book it doesn’t interest me.
@Frodo
Take a break from studying or look into other subjects. After I passed my ICND 1, I took a week off as the constant studying leading up to the exam fatigued my brain.
And when you come back to studying the ICND 2 and still finding yourself disinterested in it, then it may be a sign that it’s not the area of IT for you and should pursue something that you enjoy. You only have one life after all, so don’t waste it!
@Samwise
Thanks for the tip but I work in IT and have been for the past 9 years so I think its a little late for a career change. I enjoy what IT field I just need to set myself some goals and work on that
Cheers
@Frodo
That case, book the exam date 1/2 months from now. That way you got purpose behind your studying and if you don’t study then you just end up failing. Sometimes its easier to study when there is a sense of urgency to it.
Though 9 years experience in Networking, maybe you should try the CCNP exams instead? It would be more challenging for you, as maybe the ICND 2 is not interesting because you know most of it already. That’s a problem I had with the last 2 weeks of studying ICND 1 was that I felt I knew all of it and was just wasting time, though with the exam in 2 weeks didn’t dare to stop though lol.
Best of luck though with it all, sure you’ll find something that helps!
I keep failing this test. I can sit down and ace the practice tests all day long, I do this work in the field constantly, and for some reason I cannot pass the ICND2 for the life of me.
@ TestFailer
Don’t feel bad I am on the same boat!. I can’t seem to pass this damn test, I feel that there is not enough time and so rushed!
Im in same boat as you guys but im focusing on my speed now for next time. NO time to waste during exam
Do not watch this video http://www.youtube.com/user/internetzninja. Security is NOT on the exam
I renewed my CCNA, passing the ICND2 today 43 question 75 mins. 1 lab sim the vtp one, had several simlets, 1 drag and drop subnet question, LA-Group one and some new ipv6 questions I had not seen before, several . 1 important one for you all is the results are broken down into sections in precentages at the bottom, ie I got 100% subnetting ip questions right, failed miserbaly on WAN links (50%) etc…. Just like to say thanks to 9tut for a great website. I finished with 25 mins to spare so if you know your concepts and practice these questions thoroughly so that you work quickly through them you’ll be more prepared. Oh yeah over 50% of the questions were from this site only worded differently.
Right 1 week rest then CCNP route studying.
@ MAK
What kind of simlets you had ?
Thanks 🙂
Ill take this lovely exam tomorrow..
sorry Cod3w1r3d Ican’t remember exactly. I had the frame-relay hotspot, the VTP sim, 1 testlet or was it the simlet. It could be my brain is a bit mashed from all the intense studying I have been doing the last 2-3 weeks. I will rattle my brain and see if I can remember. will post back here if I remember.
What can I say. It was very difficult! DO NOT waste your money if you’re studying only from these sites. You really have to know everything.. I mean really.. in depth.
60 percent of new questions !! Not only the wording has changed but also its subject and content.
Yep. 9tut help a LOT !! to prepare and to be familiar with the type of questions but far not enough for a PASS. I used various vce’s to practice.. but these questions were really new.
I got the VTP and the FrameRelay sims.. and a lot of simlets and drag and drops .. sorry I cannot remember more..
I studied for three months on real equipment and used many sources.. Todd CCNA and Wendell’s book.. and YES. . JEREMY 🙂
1. Jeremy
2. Practice a lot
3. Todd Lamle CCNA
4. Wendell’s Official ICND2
..just an advice,
DO NOT think you can pass it without real knowledge!
@cod3w1r3d
does real knowledge relate to actual experience with cisco equipment/work environment, or through knowledge of the material???
sorry guys I failed. Unfortunately 🙁
@Anonymous, no not much… I only studied dumps and the exam looked too difficult for me. I wish I could study properly as there have been people who managed to pass the ICND2 test easily with 30 minutes to spare 🙁 can’t believe I failed for the second time
!Do not play w/ my NICK asshole!
@Anonymous
Sorry, I meant practice and know the principles to build up a solid knowledge and to answer Cisco’s questions. I do not like PT as it is a bit buggy but it is enough to practice.
BUT! You should be familiar with connectors, frame-relay, cables, leds, boot process.. so on.
The real hardware helps you to pass.
Hey asshole,
It is not possible to pass with 30 minutes to spare!
..without knowing most part of the questions from VCE’s.. do not be proud of that achievement.
byez
I passed anyway…
hey asshole,
I am not the only one who uses DUMPS AND VCE’s.. I passed with 870 and i’m proud of it.. not everyone can pass with 30 minutes to spare!!!
Hey.. OK. PEACE ! You’re right. Most of us used vce for pratice (I haven’t used dumps though..).It helps a lot but you must know everything to pass. I meant..memorizing the vce’s isn’t enough to pass. PEACE 🙂 We are intelligent humans.
.. you must be “mtgman00” 🙂 Take care and peace!
