1-Hot Spot frame relay sim was in my test yesterday. Someone has this sim ?
2-Subnetting (drag and drop ) with “no ip subnet-zero” . Very dificult.
3-One router conected to SwitchA and SwitchA conected to switchB . Configure in this scenario VTP .Only access to the switches .No way to know the default gateway of Switch A, as show run did not work. Someone told me to use show startup config , or show ip default gateway ?? .

Time is the most importnat factor as well as be able to answer the Sim quickly.

    @ McCormack the fighter

show running-config worked for me.. but you could see the IP easily just type : show cdp neighbors detail.. on the connected switch.. I have checked.. just for fun 😉

@ McCormack, for 1. all you need is simple ‘show commands’ show fram-relay map’ and you could figure out the answers.

    2. Subnetting is the most basic, if you know it, you could answer question in any format.

    3. ‘show cdp neighbors details’

I passed icnd2 last week with 955/1000 and I had about 10 minutes left to finish. I had VTP,Frame-relay & OSPF sims/simlets few drag and drops, acl, subnetting, vtp, vlans, stp and other basic questions. I studied wendell odom’s book, practiced on real hardware (Packet tracer is also enough) and I spent about 3-4 days going through 9 TUT. easy exam if you learn. It will take you less time to learn than to attempt memorizing thousands of dumps.

if you or anyone need any help my e-mail is gc_enquiry@yahoo.com

    thank you

Has anyone sat the exam in the past few days can anyone tell me how accurate the dumps are a lot of people on exam collection are saying Cisco have just changed there question pool. I have been revising for quite a while not just from dumps but I have to admit I am not the best exam taker in the world and do to an extent rely on the dumps (I know its cheating by the way)

@ McCormack, if you are looking for the Frame Relay Sim, go to the 9tut 802 web site. Click on the Hot Spot tab, it is the second one down. This one is exactly like the one on the test I took, except it used a different DLCI number on question one and it had a typo on question 2 on the ip address. The question ask you about ip address 172.30.4.4 and the show frame-relay map command you see the ip address is 172.30.0.4.

    Hi ALL,

Had an icnd2 exam today. Thanks a lot to 9tut and 486 VCE. SIMS are VTP, Frame relay and OSPF. All questions are from 486 VCE.

    Thanks again to 9tut.

Hi scorpion congrats! what is the 486 vce? Thanks!!!!

  19. snooy
    January 17th, 2012

So I passed the exam yesterday I found it easy after reading 9tut and doing xallax vce the vce is still valid I had been reading on exam collection that Cisco had changed there question pool I will say that there was questions on VPNs which you can see if you download a up to date vce from the CCNA section of exam collection. The CCNA Vces seem to be updated more often granted you have to go though more questions but that way you will probably see 95% of these questions on your exam.

I thought I would give you my opinion on using dumps I guess most of you if not all of you are if you are using this site then you are ok with using dumps . I have used dumps for both of my exams and would say that I recognised about 95 % of the questions on each exam. Its weird because when I came out of doing my second exam and become a CCNA it did feel a bit hollow as doing dumps is cheating obviously I have no problems with using dumps and others using dumps and I often see people writing on here that you must know the concepts to pass the exam honestly I think you could probably pass by just using dumps however this would be bad practice for the real world and if you get a job using your Cisco certification you will likely not be able to do the job properly and will be found out quite quickly you should still take the time to learn the material.

Special thanks to 9tut and xallax not just for the Vce but the time they take to contribute to this section of the web site

  33. Cisco

Took exam yesterday… I had Frame Relay Sim, and VTP Sim. IPv6 questions such as which is link local address: FF80, and which is one-to-closest: anycast. OSPF questions were from this site . Telnet question such as what will no login command do: deny telnet access. I had question number 1 in Operations from this site. I had a question were we had to choose the addresses that can use /24 with no subnet zero. about 3 drag and drops all were from this site. Thats all i can think of for now, hope this helps.

  52. Networkk
    January 25th, 2012

yes. show run was available. there were 3-4 Q’s regarding frame-relay show command.

    #show frame-relay pvc
#show frame-relay map to find out dlci

    point-to-point frame-relay Q was there too..

#frame-relay interface-dlci 120 (can’t think of exact phasing of it but study those output and commands)

  57. Anonymous
    January 25th, 2012

@CCNA2012, I sat this exam yesterday and failed by about 2 or 3 questions (really annoying!)
It was 43 questions and you get 75 mins only.
You really need to keep an eye on the clock (always visible in top right corner)
Make sure you spend no more that about 10 mins on any simulations…

  58. Neil@Apple
    January 25th, 2012

47 questions in 75 mins. 3 d&d’s, 3 sims. each sims come with timer. you got to study IPv6 in detail. i had like 3 general IPv6 Q’s and 3 IPv6 configuration Q’s.

glad i finally passed after failed three times since Nov. i got 912.

    Congrats Neil!
To Annonymous… I understand My Friend! I failed the previous version of the CCNA ICND2 exam in 2005 by 5 points! I was very upset about failing by a measly 5 freeking points! I would rather fail by 250 and know that I got my ass kicked than to be so close and miss by 5 points! lol! I ran out of time at the end of the exam and had to speed thru the last 4-5 questions. Thanks for your input Annonymous and Neil.

It looks they are putting more IPv6 stuff on the ICND2 test. I wondered whether Cisco would start doing that more and more with the proliferation of IPv6 becoming more and more prevalent. I haven’t paid a lot of attention to IPv6 except the very basics, will have to do some practice labs on IPv6 and get comfortable with it before I sit the ICND2 exam in a week or so.

To all those who Endeavor, best of luck My Friends!

I have gone through the questions on this site but I heard that Cisco recently updated their question pool for this test. @JD the show running-config command did not work on my Frame-relay question. I used the show ip interface s/0, s/1, etc. The second question had a typo in it. The question ask about ip address 172.30.4.4 and the show frame- relay command show the ip address as 172.30.0.4.

  63. chefwear

Passed ICND2 today with score of 888. I had VTP sim and Frame Relay sim. I feel I lucked out because I didn’t have any complicated drag and drops or tough, ccnp level EIGRP questions. I would suggest studying the CCNA site (9tut.com) as well as the questions here, even though they mostly overlap. I suggest this because the lack of information on 9tut.net and the fact that the ICND2 is basically the CCNA.

I also spent a lot of my time studying the 486 CCNA and xallax 816 vce’s, all of the CBTNuggets CCNA package and referred to the CCNP Route and Switch packages for some of the high level questions Cisco slips in (determining feasible successor from EIGRP topology table, router DR/BDR election and other loose ends). PacketTracer was used mostly for the hands on stuff. Good luck!

Took ICND2 today and passed with 944! Every single question I had came from either 9tuts CCNA pool of questions or their ICND2 pool of questions on their site, although the majority of my questions came from the CCNA portion so make sure you study both sites. Also, know your theory because if you just memorize dumps and can’t apply it on the job then you won’t keep a job very long. I only had one SIM to do which was the VTP sim. I had the Frame Relay Simlet and a couple of Drag and Drops. The rest were just questions from these sites. It was not near as hard as I was expecting after studying for the last 6 months. I think I over prepared but it paid off for me. I finished the test and still had about 25 minutes to spare. These are the questions I had and what sections they came from on 9tut.

  75. Hag
    January 29th, 2012

I Passed on Friday with a 902 and 4 minutes left. This was my second attempt (ref. Dec 20th post 760). The VTP and Frame Relay were on there as expected. I cannot add more detail than WKC, his questions were spread out over categories about the same as mine. But I had more IPv6 questions, to many damn IPv6 questions. plus i had four acl.

For IPv6 you have to go to the main CCNA (not ICND) page and look up IPv6
    IPv6, know multicast, global, local
    Know IPv6 tunneling
examples of valid address (funny enough it had the “2003:dead:beef:4dad:23:46:bb:101”, exactly
-You need to know at least every question on that page, or at least I did–

Two acls were about stopping access to http.
One acl was about preventing vty aka, access-class
One acl was about the order, four statements and they had to be in the correct permit deny permit permit

Both test I took had the VTP and Frame Relay (had a network address typo, don’t let it slow you down)
the “make best use of subnetting” question -its in .vce take one subnet for x#host, x#hosts, etc. there will be —-two /30, one is the network address.
OSPF digram Question One and Two – different answer.
    VLAN question one under hotspot

from advice perspective, WGC is right on. 9tut (especially the sims), the book and VCE are critical. You will find a form of the questions from the vce on 80-90% of the questions. but the answers will be twisted slightly and you must know the theory (in my opinion). I think thats why some people come back with the statement “a lot of” new questions.

Also, you need to take your time on the sims. I think they are worth about a 100 pts each (xallax ??). I think a bumbling mistake on a sim may have cost me a pass on the first exam.

    Good Luck all

  76. Hag
    January 29th, 2012

another thought on taking you time- I believe these sadistic bastards due this trick on purpose. In two questions the answer was “three” for example switch three. and the multiple choice was

    switch one
    switch two
    switch four
    switch three

I hit four, knowing it was three and almost went to the next question, it was like that twice on the test

  77. Hag

I sat for the ICND2 exam for the second time on 1/28 and I passed it. The first time the computer froze and I got 776 this time I got 876!!! I had a couple ipv6 basic questions, acl questions, 3 drag and drops, frame relay sim on here, nat sim on here. I can’t recall them all right now but I will let you know when I do. You should definitely know the materials and practice with the simulators repeatedly. I had 4 minutes left when I was done. Good luck everyone and thanks to 9tut!!

took and passed the ICND2 this morining. I noticed alot of questions on this site and the ccna site were similiar to the ones on the exam. It was tough. There were a lot of new questions. I only had 3 ipv6 questions. I can say that if you study todd lammies book and use xallax vces its enough to pass. xallax I just want to say that I appreciate it buddy. When I think of any questions that i saw on the test I will post them.

Just failed an abosultuley horendous exam. i had VTP lab and another lab but i got so confused with it i cant even describe it. i’ve seen part of it on this website somwhere and when i get my head together i will have a look. Using this site, cisco and Exam cram i didnt feel ready but when do you ever. Walking in i expected to at least squeak through but getting 720 was somthing i wasnt expecting and put it down to this one simlet. I couldnt answere any of the questions. a few questions from this site helped me save time. Another questions i do recall. went somthing like this. Which two of the following can be changed in order to change the ospf priority. Bandwidth, cost, router id, Clock speed. This questions really through me.

Ah man, this exam sounds tough! I passed ICND1 first time in August last year and i’ve been studying for this ICND2 since but only half heartedly. Just finished watching the last CBTbnugget vid on IPV6 and it made little sense. Going to watch them again from the start and read the Wendell Odom book at the same time… can see this taking a lot longer to complete as i’m working full time also.

Passed 930/1000 this morning. 43 questions and 75 min. Had a vtp config sim, frame-relay sim, several acl, and about 4-5 ipv6 questions, mostly asking for valid ipv6 addresses and Ripng. Exam was hard but fair. I think some questions may not have been graded? Cisco does say they might have those on the exam. Scored higher on the ICND2 than did on ICND1. Thank goodness its over.

I did see quite a few questions from 9tut, but had different ip’s and such. It was hard to tell how I was fairing on the exam. I really had no idea how I was doing until the exam was over and I received my score. I had about 5 min left when I finished the exam. I think practicing on live equipment made the difference for me. I used ICND1 & ICND2 by Wendell Odom almost exclusively. I took a look at Todd Lammele Fast Pass, but I needed more explanations than were provided in the Fast Pass book. I also used the Portable Commands Guide for CCNA to drill down on commands. Going on to CCNP.
