hi i’d like to ask, is there a need to study again the labs for icnd1? and all concepts/dumps/questions covering it? i have already passed icnd1 and now i’m about to take icnd2,, i’d like to know if i only need to study topics on icnd2 or both icnd1&2?

Taking the exam on October 12th, how often do Cisco change the exam questions completely, or do they only make minor changes to the questions?

Just Took My ICND2 to renew my CCNA. This was an excellent site for reviewing. I built my own Test sheets/answer sheets using all the Questions and answers/Explanations on this site. Passed with a 900. Several questions from here were on my exam, and they REALLY helped me get caught up on time. I had 3 testlets and 4 sims (both config and Troubleshooting) so got thrown behind on my time. They need to add more IPV6 QandA’s to the site. I had 8 questions pertaining to that on my exam. Thanks 9tut! This was an invaluable resource!

    @Newbie
Don’t waste your time studying the ICND1 content again, going through all the CCNA stuff on 9tut.com will be enough. Subnetting and questions on things like putting passwords on the right place on vty lines are likely to be seen on your exam though

  11. Hayabusa
    October 1st, 2012

Scored a 930 on the exam. Daniel dump is valid as well as VTP Sim on this site. The drag and drops were IP address subnetting and definitons of HOLDDOWN TIMER, Split horizion, poison reverse, triggered update, LSA. The frame-relay hotspot is valid. goodluck to all and god bless. study hard.

I passed this afternoon after spending the best part of 6 months studying Odom’s book. I scored 940ish and dare I say it? This was an easier exam than ICND1 – probably because subnetting gets easier as you get more used to it and so much of the test was on this site.

My head is still a bit fuzzy. It’s hard to remember exactly what questions I got because I was studying solidly using this site for the previous week and it’s all rolled into one big blurry haze.

This site is at least 95% valid – probably more. I honestly don’t remember a single question that I haven’t seen on here or 9tut.com. The questions (I think) are almost identical even down the pictures. Ip addresses and hostnames etc were slightly different but as soon as each question came up I recognised it. Why didn’t I get 1000/1000 then? Nerves! If you stayed calm on ICND1 you’ll be fine, if you didn’t, shut your eyes and take a few moments (not too many) if you start to feel like you’ve forgotten everything.

I’m sure the best posters here can recall so much of the questions that they got, I can’t, but what you need to know is it’s all here, know the questions on here inside out and you’ll be fine. You should know the material too but my six months was too long to study. Also, be quick, I finished with less than 5 minutes to spare after somehow forgetting how to “show ip interface brief” even though I have typed it a hundred times.

    Best of luck everyone.

Oi! Kicking myself, went down in flames with a 790.Tried to reschedule for tomorrow, but there is a 6 day waiting period. Yes, I will fight on and pass this.

    Questions:
Bangladesh w/4 question to answer. It was confusing to understand it, but review each of the 4 Question buttons and you will grasp what they are asking for.

-Weird one on NAT/Access List that it seemed to me that while they were asking for the Outgoing Pool, the answer Options only showed for Incoming as per the Port and/or IP that was identified.

I am going to take care of a few chores around the house and get back on track.

    October 11th, 2012

I did it passed ICND2 with a score of 1000/1000. Had the VTP sim, Frame Relay simlet.. had a lot of other simlets.
A word of warning.. Please clear your concepts, don’t memorize these questions to go and answer the questions on the exam. This site should be used as a very last preparing step.
I used ICND2 from Cisco press by Odom, CCNA exam prep by Todd Lamlee. Used Packet tracer and GNS3.

PS:If you configure everyrhing correctly in VTP sim, you can ping the default gateway and the neighboring switch’s VLAN1 interface. IP addresses were different than one in this site. Showrun did work for me, but I was ready to learn the default-gateway through CDP neighbor detail.

    Good luck,
    Aditya

Took ICND2 yesterday (Oct 15, 2012). 972/1000. Had the VTP and a Frame Relay Sim. Had 4-5 questions on IPv6. Don’t remember any specific questions.

Studied the Cisco CCNA Exploration curriculum, this site, and web searches to clarify/verify any concepts that needed it. Aside from that, Packet Tracer to be sure I was comfortable with the CLI. Again, practice binary math. Practice, practice, practice. It makes subnetting very simple.

Took the ICND2 test today and got a 944. Just like HCS01 mentioned had the VTP and Frame-Relay Sims. The FR sim was just answering questions and not a configuration sim. I’m almost positive that’s where I screwed up a few questions. Almost 100% of the multiple guess questions were on 9tut so their still valid. But I would really understand the basics and know how to get the correct answer instead of just trying to dump the test because your test configuration information most likely be different then the one on this site.

first of all thanks to allmighty lord shiva, and second thanks a lot to 9tut,because wihtout 9tut it was not possible.

After suffering lots of day under presser finally get success securing 902 point. passing secure was 825-

believe in god because he can made your mind for better throughput.study all chapters, don,t left any question as a less significant because you have to equal sarroundings on them.question were quiet easy but without clearing your concept you can,t be able to answer correctly.don,t freak have patience during first question.for icnd 2 i used shekhar dump from examcollection full 640-802 composite exam for all concepts.because shekhar devided each section and shekhar dump is 80% valid.

    recommended way to study-
study with – wendell oddom’s cisco press book, cbt nuggets/lastly spend 3 weeks to 9tut for exact questions exception.

    study icnd1&2/ccna training,both from 9tut section.
i got first question frame-relay hostspot it was same as 9tut but slighly ip and name diffrent.ospf hotspot but in this sim i faced a new question but it take some to answer.lab simulation were icnd section configure switch 406b with appropriate interface vlan 1 ip from last usable ip in switch 304a management subnet defaut gateway domain name mode client.at last save the config otherwise you will lose your point.and rest of questions were from shekhar and 4,5 new.

I used that simulator. It’s really good for learning the commands. It’s been a while. Using port 23? That simulator is good. It sometimes goes beyond the scope of ICND2. I couldn’t believe how easy the SIMs were on my exam. I have the answers to the SIM if you need it.

Passed 640-816 today with 930. Thank you 9tut. I recommend writing down all the subnetting before exam starts (you have 15min trial exam at the beginning so you can use that time) so you do not have to remember all the calculation. I had 27 left when I finished the exam.

I found this site by searching for CCNA practice questions. I just wrote the ICND2 exam today and was thrilled to pass. I give credit to this great and well thought out website for giving me the simulations to practice with to build my confidence. Sure you need the books from Lammle and others to add to your knowledge base but 9tut gives you a chance to put the knowledge into practice. I must say I actually had fun doing the exam today and wasn’t intimidated. All I can say is go through everything in the CCNA as well as ICND2 sections on this site and read it all and practice until you know it from memory and you will have a very good chance for success.

Hi all, i wrote my exam on monday.. and it was quite tough– there were around 5-6 qns regarding IPV6 ..and around 5 questions regarding ACL’s// ACL was tough…

    I got 3 sims- 1) VTP in ICND2 section
    2) Hotspot FR in CCNA section
    and 1 OSPF topology question

I dint have any time left– the last qn- i answered was in 15-20 secs=when i completed- i had only 35 seconds left

    Study material used:
    CBT Nuggets-went over twice
Train signal -went over once- but ACL went over twice
Had a glance thru over daniel’s dump in examcollection.com
Had a good pracitice from ciscovce.com-xallax- I would recommend buying his product- he is quite good in explaining the concepts/qns as wel..

I passed yesterday with an 860. @ Gaz I had the Frame Relay question as well. This was my second time taking this test. The frame relay question was what got me stuck before as well. I used the sh frame pvc and the sh frame map commands to get through. Also, yesterday morning I was cramming for the test and I remembered that 9tut also has a paid section. It was well worth the money as they have some sims (the sims aren’t perfect but it’s worth it). Go to 9tut.com and it’s up at the right. btw I used 9tut, CBT, and Cisco press books.

Passed ICND2 today with a score of 930 … pheewww.. it was tough! So many SIMS.. I was almost running out of time. They have tweaked of lot of question that you will find here.. same question format but different content.. so DO READ QUESTIONS PROPERLY before answering. You might tick the wrong one feeling you already know the answer.. but be very cautious. Good Luck! A Big thank to 9tut! you guys rock!! šŸ™‚
