Passed ICEND 2 today!! I had the VTP sim, Frame relay sim and NAT config questions. All the sims were right here on 9tut!! Also used CBT, Train signals and the daniel dump form 5/12 all helped out huge but you need to understand the material so Study Study Study!! Thx 9tut and http://www.examcollection.com see U all in 3 years! πŸ˜€

    Passed ICND2 930/1000. Passing was 825.

The “Daniel” VCE from examcollection.com had about 80% of questions on it. 9Tut not only made up the missing 205 BUT really helped me with the labs (the ability to practice via packet tracer). TY 9Tut.

Only sims I had was the HotSpot (show frame-relay map) testlet and the VTP sim. Person next to me had EIGRP.

Time to change my browser homepage from 9tut.net to http://www.digitaltut.com/

    TY SO much.

Just took and passed ICND2, now CCNA certified! Passing score was 825 and I scored a 972 πŸ™‚
I have 3 years of networking experience and studied 9tut.net, 9tut.com, and a 247 question dump from exam collection. There were 2 drag and drops I had not seen, both were ACLs. There were actually a lot of ACL questions on there.. Also, an ACL sim that I had not seen (but it was easy). There was also an OSPF sim (no configuration required) that I had not seen. The other sim was the VTP one from 9tut.net. All the multiple choice questions came from the three sources referenced.

just passed icnd2, studied daniel dump, and 9tut, and germy ,,,, very hard!! I did learn all the sims from icnd2 and ccna but there was only one sim from here and ccna (vtp sim) .
there was 3 new hotspots (one frame relay)that when I saw them I thought thats it I will not pass, but I passed with a low score

I passed the ICND2 today. I’m quite disappointed with my score (860), but I’ve passed.
I forgot all copy running_config startup_config, don’t know if it was important, and I was stuck in a lab (I didn’t know what to do and I couldn’t close the CLI window to see the topology behind – I clicked too fast on the console). I was also probably too fast to answer. I lost ~10/15 mins in this bloody lab trying to figure out what to do, before I switched to the next, and despite that, I had 15 mins left at the end.

Failed icnd2 today. Had the vtp sim as my first question and was sucked in to a sim trap and spent almost 30 min on that one sim. Kept trying to get vlan1 line protocol up but couldn’t. Rest of the test I was panicked because I felt like I was racing the clock. Didn’t turn out well for me.

Hi guys, tks for all do my test and i’ve pass it. Daniel’s dump is still valid, check well from CCNA Accest list and ipv6. I’ve found 2 labs one: frame relay maps with the new question about how may vtp networks r1 will knows form ospf -> 4 and use show frame relay map for all fr question and show running config for password. The other labs was already here about configure a new switch with ip add and vtp domain. Study Daniel dump and 9tut both ccna and icdn πŸ™‚

Am I the only that gets an error when trying to open the ‘daniel dump’?
It tells me “file was created w/ an older version….download the latest version”
All my other .vce open just fine……if anyone can please help, it would be greatly appreciated, it seems as though this dump is the most current/accurate

also, does anyone have an example of this Frame Relay question that seems to be coming up? Not seeing it in here

  16. failed at 2nd attempt
    December 8th, 2012

basically it is 1 router with a trunk connection to a switch, then that switch has a trunk to another switch. you have to do some vtp commands on one switch to enable it to get a vtp update and also you have to give it a default gateway and give it an ip from the last available on that subnet.

Good News, I passed my 640-802 with a high score.Although I have been working in the industry for the last 10 Years, I believe that a major contributory factor was practice with your Practice Exams and personal support.I trust the provided exam pack and prepare that thoroughly. As a result; I successfully pass this exam on my first attempt.

Thanks to cert kingdom and your team

I took ICND2 on 12/9/12 and failed, due to being hit with a lot of questions (around 10-15) out of 45 and 2 simulations regarding Frame Relay. I felt that was a lot of questions for a technology that is quickly being replaced by MPLS and is almost passed over by most instructors assuming you won’t see many if any questions regarding the topic. As I look through the training tools here, I don’t see any mention of Frame Relay as even a category to study, though, I did notice a random question here and there regarding it.

Taking the test this week.. Can anyone tell me what Labs or SIMs they had??

  20. Tim
    December 11th, 2012

Passed ICND2 today 958. I had a very interesting experience (to put it politely) after question 2, I pressed the next button and my slow as a dog computer skipped a question and took me to question 4! I saw the question for a split second and it was a simlet or a drag n drop ! I didn’t press the next button twice I’m positive about that. I ran outside to complain and was told “We can chase it up if you fail”. Was really p*ssed because I was going for bragging rights at my company as two of my collegues recently passed with marks in the 980’s.

I got the VTP Configuration Sim top of this page https://www.9tut.net/category/icnd2/icnd2-labsim. The one with the two buildings.

The OSPF one, top of this page https://www.9tut.net/icnd2/ospf-questions

And Frame relay simlet. It was the one with mid-east, north branch, west brach, C-amer etc I had to guess the DLCI values because sh run didn’t show the mapping between the remote router ip’s and the local DLCI’s ! “sh frame relay map” didn’t work at all.

Happy becuase I passed, Good luck to you guys !

Why does the info provided in your inrafmotion always appear to be a matter of history? You are offering me info about upcoming Firefox 4.0b7, which you note is delayed until December, while I am now running Firefox 4.0b8. Maybe, there is a difference in the tree matrix and I am on a different limb?

Just passed today in Ireland. 916.

Got vtp sim, frame relay sim (wrong network addresses asked in question) and a new ospf sim I never saw with no config necessary.
1 question was about load balancing routes – I chose cost and bandwidth
Another was about how many networks would be in a specific router if default classful was configured. I chose 2. 1 for 192.168 nets And 1 for 172.16 network. Answer could be 3 tho because I forgot about default route.

This sim is not in this site.

3-4 on ipv6 lot on vtp and ACL

Had seen all questions before on daniel dump.

Did it today in AU. 944/1000.
45 q-s, all from this and from CCNA site .

    2 SIMs:
    1) VTP in ICND2 section
    2) Hotspot FR in CCNA section.

Finished with 30 mins to spare. No problems.

    Materials used:

    1. Official Cisco bible by Odom and included CBT nuggets exercises.
Good for concept understanding, but none of the CBT nuggets q-s was on exam.

    2. CBT nuggets videos by Jeremy.
Well, I admit that Jeremy is a terrific bloke but, IMXO, this was waist of precious time. Very shallow overview, 50% of material you need is out of scope.

    3. 9tut.
I can’t overestimate importance of this site. Thanks 9tut. Donation done.

    4. Daniel’s dump – 90% valid, must to have.

    5. Trainsignal videos.

  33. Bacibear
    December 18th, 2012

FAILED with a 816 out of 825! Bummer! Anyhow, several questions on 9Tut were on the test – the same exact questions:
    https://www.9tut.net/icnd2/icnd2-labsim/vtp-configuration-sim#more-129
https://www.9tut.net/icnd2/ospf-questions – it asked the question what would router 3 do.
It also asked (using this configuration) how many OSPF routes would R1 have. It also said to do that using classful routing (that doen’t make sense-OSPF does not do Classfull routing.

Passed today, not as cleanly as I would have liked, but passed. To say ISND2 is harder than ISDN1 is an understatement.

Got the VTP sim as shown on the site, the OSPF 4 question simlet…with the question on learned OSPF routes and the Frame Relay hot spot. And quite a few questions from both the ISDN2 and CCNA pages on this site.

Thank you 9tut…the info presented is quite valid if not quite complete.

I hate to be a nay-sayer. But I keep seeing comments about people who can’t open the VCE’s due to older versions… Sites like 9tut.com and Examcollection rely on the generosity of the users to continue to operate. examcollection is sponsored by a VCE reader site. Just buy the software.. Support the site.

I bought the software for my iPad, and am glad I did. I studied EVERYWHERE.

when I passed my CCNA, the first thing I did was donate to some money to 9tut, and more money to examcollection.com. without their help, I would have had a much harder time. I would have made it, but it would have been tougher. We are all here for career progression. That equals money.

the least you can do, upon passing is pony up a few bucks to keep this site running.

Support the site and keep them up.

    Nuff said.

Do you need to know much static routing and rip on the icnd2? I’m using Bryants trainsignal vids and he has 2 hours of vids on static routing and rip. Cisco website objectives say ospf and eigrp. Nothing about rip.

Took ICND2 today and passed with 986/1000. Daniel’s Dump is still 90%-95% valid for all multiple choice questions on the test. I went through the Cisco Networking Academy, which was the most knowledgeable way for me to prepare for the test.

    – VTP sim from ICND2 Hotspot was there
    – FR Hotspot from CCNA Hotspot was there (Little bit different wording of questions, but same concept)
    – OSPF simlet from ICND2 with a couple of questions
    – 3 Drag and drop questions.

Study the basic concepts and understand them and review over Daniel’s dump, You’ll do fine!

Passed ICND2 yesterday12/29/2012 with 902!! Used 9tut and signed up 9tut premium, ICND2 Wendol Odom. Lots of q. on ACL, Had VTP Config Sim, FR from CCNA Hotspot, Egirp Conf Sim from ICND2 , quite a few subnetting questions. Finished with 25min. to spare!

  45. Craig
    December 30th, 2012

Passed ICND2 exam today – 944/1000. Had the VTP Sim and FR Hotspot Question. There was a question about OSPF that I haven’t seen before, but it is at this link – https://www.9tut.net/icnd2/ospf-questions. It is question 1.

Studied the ICND 2 book by Odom. Practiced with the lab sims on 9tut. The VTP sim asked for the first available IP. My ip addresses were x.x.x.97(DG), x.x.x.98(interface) so x.x.x.99 would have been your first available. However, ip addresses could be different.

Daniel’s VCE from examcollection.com is 90%-95% accurate. Know your multiple choice questions, drag and drops and subnetting. I urge you to attempt to take the exam before Jan 12th because Cisco will update the version of the exam and most of the questions I saw are on this site, the CCNA site and the VCE dump.

Going to take a break for 3-4 months and look into the CCNP exams. Happy New Year to everyone and Thanks to 9tut! I’m a CCNA…FINALLY!!!!!

Just finished taking the ICND 2 exam, and I passed with a low 900 score thanks to this site.

If I remember correctly, VTP SIM, FRAME RELAY HOTSPOT, and NAT sim were on the test. Additionally, there were quite a few drag an drop questions, one basic VLSM exercise, about 2 IPV6 question, and lots of other general questions regarding ICND 2 topics.

Good luck to anyone else who takes this test. Read these sims, understand them, and study the rest of the concepts thoroughly and you’ll be fine.

I see no indication that Cisco is making any changes to ICND2 on their site. I will continue to study for the next 3 weeks as needed. I guess we shall wait and see who takes their exam on January 13th to see if there is any changes.

LOL, I have been using actualtests.com for my question dumps/labs + 9tut, I take the test in 3 hours! I am excited and well studied….. WELL GUESS WHAT! Actualtests decides to post new dumps for ICND 1 and ICND 2 today, lol. Now I am scrambling through them to make sure I have all that I need…. HAHA of course they get posted the DAY I am taking the test. The last ICND 2 dumps they posted were from May 2012……….

  52. firstmode
    January 4th, 2013

I passed my ICDN 2!!! I used actualtests.com dump for my questions and labs. I also used 9tut.net for my labs to read all the comments and because I liked their format more than the PDF for viewing labs. 930 out of 1000. Every question that was on the test was in the actualtest dump EXCEPT the following:

Hotspot Frame-relay Question – http://www.9tut.com/ccna-hotspot-questions – THIS WAS EXACT TO 9TUT ON EVERY QUESTION. THE DLCIs were a bit different, but that is why you do a show frame-relay map command on the test.

The other was an OSPF hotspot that used the graphic image used in Questions 1 and 2 below at the link included. The first two questions were exactly number 1 and number 2. The third question asked about OSPF load balancing, referring to the graphic image in the link below: between router R3 and R4. (I can’t remember if there was a switch in the test image or if it was another router….) It asked what commands (choose two) would you use to implement or remove OSPF load balancing on this device (must have been a router, not a switch, little bit different than the image at the link below). I only remember the following options 1. ip ospf cost, 2. distance OSPF, 3. ip ospf distance (?maybe), 4. clock rate, 5. bandwidth. (I hope I remember those right, if not, they are mostly correct.)
    https://www.9tut.net/icnd2/ospf-questions

I only had 1 lab, it was the VTP lab, exactly as it is on 9TUT. The only thing that was funny about it was it told me to use the first available ip address in the management range. When looking in the switch, the first ip is used by the working switch, and the second IP is used by the default-gateway. I had to remove the IP I set to VLAN1 and use the 3rd IP in the subnet (1st available for use though.)

Well, I’m schedule to take the exam on the 9th. Been studying hard. Besides the book and CBT Nuggets, I’m using 9tut and Daniels vce dump. Let’s see what happens

  54. Passed
    January 4th, 2013

    Passed ICND2 with 958.

VTP sim was on it and Frame-relay Hotspot with a completely different IP address (not shown in the “show frame-relay map” command! The IP address asked about was in a different subnet !! yet the list of DLCIs in the question were the same as the “show frame-relay map” output ???
Also there was a user name and password listed in “show run command”.

I had seen virtually all the multiple choice questions on 9tut ICND2 but answers were in a different order and some were worded differently so be careful to read the questions and answers completely before making your selection.

Finished ICND2 exam with 10 min to spare unlike ICND1 where I finished with only a few seconds left.

I used CBT nuggets videos (GREAT for understanding ICND2 concepts), Odom’s books (very poor on Frame-relay because of concentration on Global DELCIs which nobody uses), Packet Tracer to do many, many Labs and also bought 2 switches and 4 routers for real experience.

    CCNP is my next goal.

Good Luck on your exams and thank you 9tut.

  55. Passed
    January 5th, 2013

Forgot to mention that the OSPF hotspot question, that “firstmode” commented about above , was on my test as well.

Also my VTP sim also asked for the first available address exactly as described by “firstmode”.

Just passed with a 875. This site is still legit, Daniels dump is still legit. I would say 75% of the questions on the test came from this site. However and I do mean however, they didn’t all come from the ICND2 site. There are quite a few questions that come from the CCNA site. (9tut.com)

    http://www.9tut.com/ccna-drag-and-drop-questions
    http://www.9tut.com/ccna-drag-and-drop-3
    http://www.9tut.com/ccna-vlan-questions-2
    http://www.9tut.com/ccna-vtp-questions
    http://www.9tut.com/ccna-hotspot-questions (Frame relay)
    http://www.9tut.com/ccna-ospf-questions
    http://www.9tut.com/ccna-ospf-questions-2
    http://www.9tut.com/ccna-wan

There was at least one question on my test from each page.

I also go hit hard with IPV6 questions, must have had 5. You need to know IPV6 well because the questions i had on test, only one came from this site.

I would highly recommend going through both the ICND2 and CCNA sites. Whatever you don’t know or an unsure of, take the time to learn.

I just passed it with score 916. I had maybe 30 q from this site. VTP and FR Relay Labsims are exactly the same. I had maybe 6 questions about Ipv6. This is kinda surprised me.
    Good luck!

  75. New CCNA
    January 13th, 2013

passed ICND2 to get my CCNA on 1/11 with 935. VTP, FR and OSPF sims are on there. Daniel’s VCE practice is very good so know all the concepts presented in those. Like Branimir and robo said, there was at least 6 IPv6 questions, so know your addressing!

The rest was pretty standard, know how to configure NAT, standard and extended ACL’s. Good luck everyone, thank you 9tut!

what type of question did you have guys on IPV6? thanks

    January 14th, 2013

You gotta know all common ipv6 addresses. Both unicast and multicast addresses. You gotta know what anycast address is. There was a question on how would you define anycast address and you have to choose 3 out of 6 statements .

Passed my test this morning 944/1000. I studied exclusively from pass4sure and 9tut. I used CBT nuggets to get background info and when there were topics I felt weak on.

I had the VTP Configuration Sim. https://www.9tut.net/icnd2/icnd2-labsim/vtp-configuration-sim#more-129 .

I had a Frame Relay Sim that I don’t recall seeing on my study resources but it basically required using show run and sh frame-relay map commands to complete.

I also had an OSPF sim that I’ve seen only here on 9tut that had questions (like the one about which ID it would take based off of the interfaces that were enabled.

Other than that my questions were pretty easy. A few I did notice had numbers/values changed but it was basically the same question and I had a big portion of them that were dead on for what I saw here and on pass4sure.

Good luck guys and girls. I’m moving on to my next cert probably two months from now. I know I’ll be back here.

    January 25th, 2013

VTP config sim, Frame Relay sim, OSPF sim

Several IPv6 questions. Most all questions I had seen here or in Daniels VCE.

I read Wendell Odoms cert book, watched videos from both CBT Nuggets and Train Signal, used the “101 CCNA Labs” book to practice configurations, used exam collection for practice tests, and of course used the best website in the work, 9tut to prepare.

Now it’s onto the CCNP switch test!

I wanted to answer this because noone answered it for me. Passed ICND2 today, second time taking test too, this time it had VTP and Frame relay, (same concepts as first one) although this time it had an OSPF simulator as well.(not configuration but questions just like the frame relay one was) Thanks 9TUT you helped tremendously.

    Passed 958/1000

I had VTP sim as mentioned here before. This was only on typical simulation. Other interactive questions were for using show commands (show running-cofig, show frame-relay map). I was scared by a large amount of questions asking for what happen if you issue a specific commnad (show command or others…) Thank you guys and GL!

Valid as all hell. Passed today with a 916. Frame Relay hotspot, VTP Sim, ACL-builder drag and drop, OSPF drag and drop, lots of OSPF, ACL, and NAT questions. Hardly anything on EIGRP and STP. A few IPv6 questions. There was little if anything I hadn’t seen before. I actually was surprised I didn’t score higher.

OK this is getting ridiculous. I thought the 3rd time was the charm. Well not today, got an 802/1000. I’ve used cisco press 640-816 icnd2 book, cbt nuggets, boson test sim from 640-816 2nd ed cisco press book, pearson test sim from 3rd ed 640-816 cisco press book, 9tut. I can pass both test sims w/ 950’ish scores but when I take the real exam I get my butt handed to me. This shouldn’t be this hard. I passed my icnd1 w/o any issues. I actually had my ccna cert back in 2002, and yes quite a bit has changed. But what am I missing??????? Theres always those those strange questions that throw you for a loop that could be those dummy questions they throw in. IE – What command below will show what method was used when the switch was power cycled? (choose 2) Where the hell was that info, I don’t recall anything like that on the icnd1 exam. Sorry for the vent but had to get this off my chest before it makes me sick.
