Finally cleared my retake ICND2 today. Same as @Dude i got the OSPF simlet question changed compare to the 1st one which i took last week(which is what Matty has posted)

I got another question that goes something like this :
“What is command to check on the last method used for the Power Cycle of the router”

70% of the question is from Matty dump and actualTest. You really have to understand the concept to nail the test.Wasn’t really prepared when i sit for the exam last week ended up failling by 30 marks…..

Hey guys, I passed ICND2 last month and just received an email from pass4sure that 640-816 has been updated. I skimmed through questions and to me it looks like at least 70% of the questions are on the new updated exam. I will look closer when I get a chance and let you guys know.

Passed exam today, found almost all the questions contained in the most recent pass4sure (updated this saturday, new version!!!) + also questions found here.

One last matter – my icnd1 license expires in December 2010, now that i passed also icnd2 i’m automatically a CCNA? Nothing else to do?

ISP Router – R1 – R2, R3, R4 with 192.168.1.x/30 such as 1, 5, 9, 13. Question was how to isolate ISP router from OSPF as long as working as default gateway. (something likethis)

Hey guys,
I tried to replicate as much as posible the OSPF, still not 100% happy with the all answers. I want to replicate this on Packet Tracer to see the OSPF behavior, but for that I need a 100% accurate layout.
If you remember, answer this…
1.-On the layout, the switches shown an IP address?
2.-The layout is right?
3.-3 or 4 routers?
4.-The area is right?

Unfortunately, the solution is that paglia generates at least another code, for me it is okay to produce a pdf file of q&a’s screenshot and share with us. Im unable to crack the file…

In case new activation code is not available, paglia may still be able to access his p4s software. He can do something about this

Passed today friends, Had some tough stuff, Alot of ACL and NAT questions which of course ACL is my weak point.

Figures.

Several questions that are not in the dumps, many new revised questions.

I had maybe 4 questions from Matty and 3 or so from 9tut maybe 5 from Actual Exams.

Some questions had the same diagrams but the questions and answer were completely different.

Im beat, going to bed and I will write more tomorrow and try to help you guys out, since you helped me alot.

This is a tough question. “C” would be my choice, as by default EIGRP is set to do equal path load balancing. However, look at the “EIGRP maximum metric variance 3” entry: this is telling you that unequal path load balancing (“variance” command) has been set. i’m not sure how valid it is anymore as I took the test last Friday and only say about 25% of those questions there. There seems to be a new version out and no pdf’s yet.

I opened Paglias file with 7 zip and went to :C:\Program Files (x86)\Pass4sure Test Environment\640-816\640-816.exe\com\certification\ttv3\qpool\ in there you can see the pictures. Now all I need to do is find the answers associated with the pictures. The serial code and order number would be easier though. Anyone care to help?

@ a – Yes I relied heavily on Mashti, a bit on Actual Tests along with my reading, Nuggets, etc. So matty’s file was familiar and I used it to prepare for my first attempt – ran out of time, but it was about 80% accurate and I felt really good – just poor time mgmt. 2nd time round (1 week later) I prepared the same way, and found so many new questions that I hadn’t seen before, got 811, very frustrated! When paglia said there was new dump, I thought it would be really helpful.

oh..feel sorry for you man..you missed by only 1 question..don’t worry you’ll make it next time….lets see when paglia comes back……he provided p4s but not the activation code………that’s like a car without a key!!!

Hopefully we’ll get something soon, I’m scheduled for next Friday…but if push comes to shove, I can reschedule. I’d rather get ready sooner as I have deadlines at work on this and the CCNP.

Right now, I am really reviewing the concepts very carefully.

Yes, if cisco doesn’t change it!

The sims were exactly the same both times. The VTP, Frame Relay and OSPF that have been mentioned here and ar on Matty and Sergio’s posts.

@ Cool Guy that’s correct, those 2 that you linked are respectively vtp and ospf sims, i have both in my exam (middle August -failed w784/825).
imho the other images are the usual already seen many times in a lot of dumps.
Matty’s documentation is an excellent reference for now

So from pictures(P4s from Paglia) I saw only two new simlets which I have already posted before, so I think now exam preparation action should be as follows:

* we need to check what questions they asked in 2 new simlets VTP and OSPF(friends who have already taken exams pls. see the pictures which I have posted above and recall the questions and share in this forum)

* FR simlet is on Matty/Sergio doc file and also on this forum so we can follow Matty document this forum for FR simlet

* New p4s pictures show most of the question from Mashti, Acme and Wignet dumps so pls. review these in detail(they might change the questions with same figure)

* seems ACL and NAT % of questions more in exams whose are very very imp. topics and guys if you know more questions about this topices(other then dumps in have mension earlier) pls. share

*Matty document and off course the all the view of the forum about new question is very imp. (I am making a doc file which I will share later)

*also they are asking new question about debug commands and commands related to ospf neighbors/eigrp neighbors ..very imp

* also I remember someone mension before new Switch Simlet(adding a new switch so some configuration need to be done on the new switch so that it can copy all the VLANs from existing switch)….. very imp

I think my uploaded dump is not new in a sense that Actual Test last updated their dump on 31 August 2010. Since then, they were not updated 640-816 dump. I review AMCE & Mashti Dump as advised by “Matty”.

Mashti dump is a good one because it contains explanation of answers.

I think answer should be “B” , because default encapsulation is CISCO for cisco devices and for other vendor devices is encapsulation is IETF…. pls. comments

I thought the same way but default LMI type is “Cisco” on Cisco routers. Now, when you replace the router on one side with different vendor you’ll have different LMI type. Wouldn’t it create a situation of mismatched LMI types?

LMI is used between Frame Relay Switch of service provider and a customer side router. If the router of other side is replaced with different vendor router, It does not effect the LMI’s because it is a signaling standard used between routers and frame relay switches only.

So, the answer of your question is “mismatched encapsulation type”.

This was one of the new books I am using to study, based off of several peoples recommendations. I just finished it today, took an unfamiliar 40 question practice test (dump) and got a 925. Hopefully the real test goes just as well this time.
