ICND1 Composite Quizzes
We have 15 Composite Quizzes for the ICND1 exam. Each Composite quiz comprises of 50 questions of all topics of the ICND1 100-105 exam. If you can pass all of them then congratulations, you have full knowledge for the ICND1 exam. But please grasp the concept of the sims in the ICND1 exam as well before taking the exam.
Note: The questions of these Composite Quizzes are taken randomly from the pool of specific topic quizzes so some questions are repeated among the Composite Quizzes. This is good because you can practice one question a few times. But we highly recommend you to practice all the specific quizzes (at the right-side menu under “ICND1 100-105” category) carefully before taking these Composite Quizzes. The Composite Quizzes only helps you have a feeling of the real exam with 50 randomly chosen questions from the specific topic quizzes. |
ICND1 exam:
Note: Please also check all the “ICND1v3 – New Questions …” at the right-side menu. The Composite Quizzes above may not include these new questions so please practice them separately
Note: We really hope you clearly understand the concept behind each question, not learn by heart the answers.
@anon were the questions and sims the same as the ones on the test?
thxs
testing on the 7th, ill let you know
@annon how did you do? passed?
sry im retarded i totally mis read the date sry
I’m not sure about this question at all.. can anyone help? please
Which RFC was created to alleviate the depletion of IPv4 public addresses?
A. RFC 4193
B. RFC 1519
C. RFC 1518
D. RFC 1918
There are 2 correct answers RFC 1518 and RFC 1918. RFC 1518 is the better answer.
yeah, but why?? i google it and i asked few people around.. and the most logic answer i’ve got is RFC 1518 simply covers the usage of CIDR, or how to use address blocks more efficiently while RFC 1918 is specifically referred to as a stopgap to avert the crisis of IPv4 addresses… now to be honest i don t really care, but I’m only interested in what is CISCO point of view.. The correct answer .. ๐
It is anyone who took the exam and remembered this correct answer? Thanks guys
@engel it was RFC 1518 since it helped to create variable length sub netting therefore allowing ppl to save ip addresses and not waste them
@Anonymous how was it bro?
@yeet1000 I had to reschedule, but this Friday the 14th I am taking the exam around 230pm EST, more to follow
@Anonymous Good Luck today.. Lets us know how you’ve gotten on!
Which RFC was created to alleviate the depletion of IPv4 public addresses?
A. RFC 4193
B. RFC 1519
C. RFC 1518
D. RFC 1918
Iv’e gotten this in my exam the and I answered RFC1918 and not once did I think it was wrong until I’ve joined this website.
I can remember a lot of these questions in the exam I took a few months ago. It really knocked the wind out of me when I failed I studied so hard and I really felt discouraged from doing it again!
I do believe that this website will help people to pass but it will not give you the knowledge and skills to work in Cisco networks!! You really need to read the Todd Lamme /Official Cisco Books books and get the CBT Nuggets or Laz Diaz on Udemy.
The exam is extremely difficult so best of luck to all in their quest to get certificated and to @9tut for the tool to do so. Cheers
@yeet1000; @eagle_eye
Scored a 930 today! Composite quizzes helped a ton, also the ICND1 sims are the same questions however the configs on the routers and switches in the sims are different so as long as you know what you’re looking for/at when you’re in the switch or router you should have no problem at all
@Anonymous congratulations! What sims did you have and did they have drag and drop questions?
@almost ready
I had the security testlet and the show configuration sim, I didn’t get any drag and drop questions
Do these Composite question also include the new questions which come in the exam
@Anonymous Congratulations on passing amazing stuff! Onto the ICND2!!
Did you find a lot of the Questions in Composite Quiz in the exam itself on the day bar the Sims?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but in the question, “How many bits are contained in each field of an IPv6 address?”, shouldn’t it be “bytes”, not bits?
Never mind, I was interpreting the question wrong
@Hari: Yes, the Composite Quizzes include all the new questions.
@9tut, I don’t see the questions:
1. How many IPv4 addresses can be assigned to and interface?
2. IF your Ethernet cable exceeds the manufacturers specifications of 100 meters?
A. Broadcast Collisions
B. Runts
C. Giants
D. Baby Giants
I’m not sure if I’ve phrased the 2. question correctly.
@Eagle_Eye
Q1. I IPv4 address can be assigned to one interface but multiple ipv6 can be assigned to one interface.
@EAGLE_EYE
Q2. The answer is not there. You get late collisions. Giant’s don’t occur on long Ethernet connections.
i think the answer for COmposite quiz 5 question 1 is incorrect?
Rfefer to the exhibit. Which statement desribes the effect of this config?
Router#Config ter
Router(Config)# vlan 10
Router (cofig-vlan)do show vlan
——————–
What will this configuration do?
@ma nepali
When you leave VLAN configuration mode, the changes will be saved.
@anonyi i think the vlan will be saved without exiting vlan config mode only..
Does the questions listed here appear in the exam?? if yes how many?? 50% 60% ?? how much??
I took my CCENT with score 940/1000. These questions are 90% Valid!!
THX 9 TUT!!!
Which statement describes the effect of the copy run start command on a router in enable mode?
A .The running configuration of the router is saved to NVRAM and used during the boot process.
D. A new running configuration is loaded from flash memory to the router.
A or D?
Hi Folks! I have passed ICND1 today and I can tell that it was really-really hard. I had score 904.
The simlets are still legit but with different right answers. So do not memorise them, know your stuff.
Other questions were really tricky and some of them were unknown to me so I guessed them ๐
Sorry I do not remember all of those but there were DNS related questions that is not in this site.
I had something like: “What do you configure with the ip route 0.0.0.0/0 command” I did not know that you can write this in such syntax but I answered ‘I set gateway of last resort up’
I also had something like: “What character appears if an unknown packet type occurs during ping?”
A) .
B) *
C) ?
D) U
I choose the ‘?’ although I have never met this before and I think it was the right answer.
I had this question also: “Which RFC was created to alleviate the depletion of IPv4 public addresses?”
A. RFC 4193
B. RFC 1519
C. RFC 1518
D. RFC 1918
I do not remember more now, but if I will, I will share.
I also wanted to say a huge thanks to 9tut guys putting this site together for us!!! Huge thanks!
Good luck to everyone in you future exam!
I took my CCENT today and passed. I only recall seeing about 5-6 of these questions on the exam, and though the simulators were the same, I would strongly caution you to NOT memorize answers, as they changed them in the sims.
hi guys i am taking my CCENT on Thursday, anyone with the latest Dumps, please send to {email not allowed}.
Hi
about the following one :
i think the answer for COmposite quiz 5 question 1 is incorrect?
Rfefer to the exhibit. Which statement desribes the effect of this config?
Router#Config ter
Router(Config)# vlan 10
Router (cofig-vlan)do show vlan
I confirm it is wrong.
I did the test with packet tracer –> vlan 10 is created as soon as you enter in vlan mode. You can try that if you have a simulator :
1. Tape do show vlan command in config mode
2. Router(Config)# vlan 10
3. tape again “do show vlan without leaving the vlan config mode
You will see the VLAN declared.
Bye guys
Hi guys
I’m taking the CCENT in two weeks, if someone has passed it recently and has got new questions can he please share them with us ?
Thanks
This will not help you pass, I got 787 and they just upgraded to Version 6
I confirmed what Areste said, about creation of vlan.
Switch(config)#vlan 10
Switch(config-vlan)#do show vlan brief

Passed recently. New qustions is about 40-50% of exam now. Labs looks similair, but aware about configuration: they change it. So, algorithm stay the same, but be carefully with answers. Dump defenetly need update. A lot of questions about ACL and NAT implementation.
Passed 100-105, review new questions and composite quizzes.. Thank you 9tut.. Very big help..
Hi RetzKen, congratulations ๐ did you get a firewall question ? If yes do you remember more or less what it was ?
Thanks
CIDR is a mechanism developed to help alleviate the problem of exhaustion of IP addresses and growth of routing tables. The idea behind CIDR is that blocks of multiple addresses (for example, blocks of Class C address) can be combined, or aggregated, to create a larger classless set of IP addresses, with more hosts allowed. Blocks of Class C network numbers are allocated to each network service provider; organizations using the network service provider for Internet connectivity are allocated subsets of the service provider’s address space as required. These multiple Class C addresses can then be summarized in routing tables, resulting in fewer route advertisements. (Note that the CIDR mechanism can be applied to blocks of Class A, B, and C addresses; it is not restricted to Class C.)
CIDR is described further in RFC 1518, An Architecture for IP Address Allocation with CIDR, and RFC 1519, Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR):
Any questions about OSPF??
Hi
I think NAT/PAT question regarding one-way NAT has wrong answer in quiz. One-way NAT is PAT or “NAT Overload”, see https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/thread/63452.
Hi
I’ve seen 2 DHCPv6 related questions where answers suggest that stateless DHCPv6 is responsible to assign IPv6 addresses. I think stateless DHCPv6 would supply DNS server settings only while SLAAC would provide IPv6 address.
Sorry Areste, I’m not sure what packet tracer does but I tried creating Vlan 10 in my lab and it didn’t actually create it until I got out of the VLAN config mode.
what is the answer for this question please
Which of the following are two local host characters?

There is one question with two different answers :
What must occur before a workstation can exchange HTTP packets with a web server?
In one test in here the answer is TCP
and in the second test the answer is UDP
what is the right answer??
HTTP is a TCP connection.
hi, i have a question
Which RFC was created to alleviate the depletion of IPv4 public addresses?โ
A. RFC 4193
B. RFC 1519
C. RFC 1518
D. RFC 1918
whats the exact answer? Really confused
Hi guy, I’m taking my CCENT the first week of January. Can someone dump the most recent questions if it is possible?
Thanks!
Hi guy, Iโm taking my CCENT too in the first week of January. Can someone dump the most recent questions if it is possible? @Alberto, please
Thanks!
Hi guys,
Are these questions in composite quizzes the same with questions in the homepage of 9tut?
Thank you.
RFC 1519 was created to alleviate the depletion of IPv4 public addresses
Which RFC was created to alleviate the depletion of IPv4 public addresses?โ
A. RFC 4193
B. RFC 1519
C. RFC 1518
D. RFC 1918
Answer: 1918
why? wording here (alleviate the depletion) meaning to save something that is running out. so if you have every device using public IP address then there will not be many addresses left to use. to solve this problem they created private address range which can’t be routed on internet. which is why we have NAT in place(for ex: this way many like 1000 private address only need one public address which mean you saved almost 999-pubilc address. hope this make sense!
you can read more here: https://www.quora.com/Why-do-we-need-private-ip-address
Has ANYONE taken the exam? can you verify if the composite questions are still valid. PLEASE Reply
which drag and drop did you get? how many?
Passed the ICND1 exam today with a score of 905/1000
Much what was stated in responses in other threads, there are 59 questions in total all ranging from questions from the Composite quizzes, ICND1v2 New Question Pool, as well as completely NEW QUESTIONS that are now listed here. I am not able to give an exact number of how many of each type of question but I feel as though the amount was about even.
There were 3 drag and drop questions including those from the new question pool as well as a completely new drag and drop. My advice is to study all drag and drops listed here to be safe.
Simulations included questions from the DHCP Simulation and Security Test Let Simulation.
(Final Thoughts)
I think it is safe to say that regardless when and where you take the exam there are going to be a number of new questions that you have never seen before. With that being said, in conjunction to studying the questions it it equally as important to have a complete grasp of the concepts behind each question in general. With this understanding you will be able to answer many questions just by the process of elimination ALONE.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck Everyone!
Today i passed my ICND 1 Exam thanks 9tut,
I think Nearly 70% of exam questions came from this site. I’m ready for my ICND 2.
Not ALL of the questions were on this site, but a large percentage (probably 60-70%) of my test was. Study, learn the concepts, and when you take the composite quizzes take notes on what you get wrong. Use the review notes to help better understand. If you know WHY the right answer is the right answer, you’ll be fine.
Use the sims – all 3 of mine were the same (DHCP, Show Config, Security), with only slight differences like IP’s and naming.
Protocols and administrative distances came up very often, so I recommend knowing those.
Don’t try to just memorize all the answers, actually learn the concepts and this test will not be that hard.
Thanks to everyone supplying the information on this site.
I just took and passed ICND1 with an 868, with the passing threshold being 832. I saw only about a dozen questions from the composite quizzes. The simulations were nearly indentical though. My test was very heavy on routing and switching questions, ACL, VLAN and the parts of packets. Thanks 9TUT, this made a huge difference.
Hi!
Asking for a favour!
in 2017 I was using ICND1&2 practices. But from last month I decided to joined the full CCNA and let aside ICND1&2 practices. Today I wake up to do my (CCNA) practices. unfortunately I opened 9tut.net (ICND1&2) mistakenly, whereby I was told it is expired.Thinking it is CCNA that expired?! without looking anywhere I updated, when it is done ICND1&2 was on my dashboard.
Will it possible to migrate that payment to my CCNA account.
please reply.
Thank you.
@9tut please help with the email above.
I completed ICND1 today, passed.
50%-70% of the questions on the exam are identical to the ones on here. However, the simulations are exactly the same. However, I urge you to not rely on brain dump 100% because it wont be enough, you have to learn concepts due to the new questions and lack of understanding may cost you dearly.
@Abuga 50-60% from new questions or composite quiz?
composite quiz, I did around 10 of them.
But a number of questions did come up from the ‘New Questions’ though. So it’s best to do as much as you possibly can and still learn all the concepts. Don’t rely on these questions entirely to pass, only use them as some sort of a guideline of what to expect.
Hope it helps.
Taking my ICND1 today, I’m curious to see how similar these are to the real test.
Hi guys, are questions still valid and current ?
Took the exam today and I would say not even 50% of the questions were the same, might of just been my luck though haha!
@Pistol and any examples of what questions were on the test and are not listed here ?
Still confused on the RFC question – Even on this site, half the people think it’s RFC1518 and the other half believe it’s RFC1918. Anyone have a CONFIRMED answer to this? Even in the IP-Address questions 9tut confirms the correct answer to be RFC1918 yet newer comments still say 1518 is the right choice……… O.o
taking test july 2 2018/ has anyone taken the exam in the month of june 2018/ thank you,
has anyone taking the exam in june 2018
has anybody taken the exam recently????
IT IS BIT QUITE HERE. I DONT KNOW WHY THE CANDIDATES LIKE TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES HERE.
I have my CCENT exam tmrw!! any tips?? and will update you guys with the questions and it’s similarity with 9tut!!
PASSED with a score of 917!!!Thanks 9tut!! Most of my questions were related to Telnet and sim was related to NAT while other 2 were same
congrats Rashravi
@Rashravi can you tell us about the NAT sim?
Which RFC was created to alleviate the depletion of IPv4 public addresses?โ
A. RFC 4193
B. RFC 1519
C. RFC 1518
D. RFC 1918
Correct answer: D. RFC 1918
Explanation:
“In the mid-1990s private IPv4 addresses were introduced because of the depletion of IPv4 address space. Private IPv4 addresses are not unique and can be used by an internal network.”
~ Cisco Networking Academy, Introduction to Networks, Ch.7 IP Addressing > 7.1.4.1 Public and Private IPv4 Addresses
All answers, RFC 1518 and 1519, even RFC 4193 (NAT), may be correct, but it is not what Cisco says in its publications. However, CIDR was used as an additional method to save address spaces. CIDR will only save a few addresses while RFC 1918 provides the means to accomplish the task.
Cisco Academy continues:
“Specifically, the private address blocks are:
10.0.0.0 /8 or 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 /12 or 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 /16 or 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255
It is important to know that addresses within these address blocks are not allowed on the Internet and must be filtered (discarded) by Internet routers. For example, in the figure, users in networks 1, 2, or 3 are sending packets to remote destinations. The Internet Service Provider (ISP) routers would see that the source IPv4 addresses in the packets are from private addresses and would, therefore, discard the packets.
Note: Private addresses are defined in RFC 1918.
Most organizations use private IPv4 addresses for their internal hosts. However, these RFC 1918 address are not routable in the Internet and must be translated to a public IPv4 address. Network Address Translation (NAT) is used to translate between private IPv4 and public IPv4 addresses. This is usually done on the router that connects the internal network to the ISP’s network.
Home routers provide the same capability. For instance, most home routers assign IPv4 addresses to their wired and wireless hosts from the private address of 192.168.1.0 /24. The home router interface that connects to the Internet service provider (ISP) network is assigned a public IPv4 address to use on the Internet.”
Passed ICND1 today. >950 This is a great site for practicing. Worth the premium price just to be familiar with the testlets and sims. Nothing, however, beats knowing how things work. Not very many question/answer combos verbatim on my exam, so it’s best to understand the concepts being tested. If you do, you’ll have no problems passing. I work with Cisco gear every day and passed more questions from actual experience than practice exams.
I have a Problem with a simple question
MTU Size an Baby Giants..
in the Quiz the right answer was 1518 but i thought Baby Giants are up to 1600 (this was wrong in the Quiz).
Thank for help
Just pass icnd1, some questions I saw here but has a some questions that I didnยดt see here. So be prepare. Passing Score was 832, my score was 913. ICND1 done, ICND2 loading. Best luck guys.
can any 1 send me latest dumps i had exam next week
much appreciated junaidmohmmed @ g mail. co m
Hi all,
Got my ICND1 today 861/1000.. it was really diffcult exam. many many mnay questions Drag-drop. two simulations Security+t-shooting. check all SW frames questios and packet questions. high focus on that area.
RIP, ACL, AD. and routing functions and more. Good luck for all.
Hi guys. Can anyone help me please ..? I’ve past the intense CCNA course, but for someone that has never done anything network related this is just madness.. I will go for ICND1 and then ICND2 because I think it will be easier. I just recently discovered 9tut and I am not too sure what I should be practicing on? Is it the “Composite Quizzes” or is it the simulators or is it the new questions section or is it ALL of it (of course I have to know it all, but it’s too early for that ๐ ) ?? What is the exam and does anyone has a dump file for it? .. Please any information is well appreciated !! Thanks a lot. For any contact my email is Emiltopuzov91 @ g mail. co m
Hi all,
Got my ICND1 yesterday 874/1000. it really diffcult exam. many questions Drag-drop.
I had only 11 of exam questions came from this site.
Is there any labs on Icnd 1 exam – and any suggestion for the test, because i am taking it next week!!
Hi guys. Yesterday I passed my ICND1 exam with a score of 919 based on 1000. 54 questions.
Almost all the material was in 9tut but do not trust. many questions were not there and the answers had to be analyzed. WIFI !!!!!!! important
does anybody have a valid dump they could send me? jdsethkesler @ gmail.com
Hey guys. I am Pass ICND1 today 919/1000. it’s a really difficult exam. Thanks, 9tut.net
